Great video Pete. One measurement you forgot to take, was your heart rate on each bike. 🤣🤣 Nice to have a track like that near home, I'm afraid if I had tracks like that near home, Id end up in hospital. 🤣
Thanks "Ricky" glad you enjoyed the video, You and "Chad" made a great addition to the vid, and the camera work from you both was spot on. Thanks again. Regards FPPete.
eveRide channel ... He used to take out different bikes on a dedicated trail and compare the times to his beloved DRZ .. Most any bike he tried to compare never matched the lap time of the DRZ400. 😁 note that his DRZ400 was highly modified 😂
Gday Pete , enjoyed the comparison test on all 3 bikes . Interesting to see the T7 almost getting up over the Dr but not quite. Good to Chad and Ricky in the latest mx gear , young blokes zero fcuks given , I remember those days . Excellent video Pete . Cheers 👍
Thanks heaps mate, Yes Chad and Ricky are very casual with there choice of mx gear, and I remember being a young bloke without any fear. IT490 going nuts, great times.
@@FULLPELTAdventures nothing quite like the smell of a two stroke , a mate from school had an 83 IT490 it was a beast , just point it the way you wanted to go and hang on .
@@mrwill1969 Ha HA, Thats exactly right with riding the IT490, Point it were you wanna go, and hang on tight, the rear end would be all over the place. LOL.
Go the MIGHTY DR. Haha, yeah I am bias. Great vid, loved watching. Thanks for the entertainment. Quick question. You and I have the same exhaust on the DR and I didn't notice any decel popping on the vid. Is that an audio thing or did you eliminate it some how.
g'day PC Pete, Glad you enjoyed the video. I am running the "Street" baffle in the exhaust (the quietest) it seems to run better and does not pop as much as the other 2 baffles. there is very little power difference between all 3 baffles. I hope to do a video on it soon. FPPete.
Hello Pete. So good to see you on the bikes, lots of fun and important information on bike handling and performance. All the best and I hope you continue to keep safe. David...Adelaide...Tiger 900GT
FPP living up to his name 😎💪 T7 was the winner before you even started ha ha but good to see you getting decent numbers on it 👍 Love ya new mates safety gear, t shirt shorts work boots and go 😅👌
thanks josh, Yes the T7 is a lot of fun on the mx track, got a lot of confidence from blasting around on it. And yes, the lack of safety equipment issue is now in the hands of the Union and Worksafe. LOL.
😅 Glad ya getting a bit of confidence on it, it's not really that big and scary. Looking forward to footage of you cruising around with Mark on his AT 😬👌
@@MVDBR Yeah, I think a few more laps will do me good, really enjoying riding Trevor on that track. The centre stand clunking away is awesome, you gotta get one for the "Clunck", and the extra 5kg of weight doesn't go astray either. Yes Mark on the AT would be good, or do we seduce him to the "Dark Side" and get him on a T7.
Sold me on the centre stand mate just put the order in 🍻 Yeah well, hopefully he has a decent ride on a T7 before making a decision, nothing wrong with the AT but a lot of folk are saying the T7 is a far better handling bike 🤷♂️ Grunty 1L engine would be nice though.
That was a great comparison of the three, I bet you were buggered after doing it. Really enjoyed this and a shout out to Mark for sending you a care package 👍🇦🇺
Really nice of you to let those young whipper snappers look good 🤪 interesting comparison, though i was never in doubt Boris would come out on top 💪 ATB Jason 👍
That was a surprise, thought that the T700 would have won hands down, feel kind of proud I have dr650 now, good video, thanks Pete. PS, the dr650 exhaust sounds good!
Hi Peter, My lack of skill holds the T7 back. I feel really comfortable on the DR, so that allows me to relax and enjoy the bike, the T7, being bigger and heavier is a hand full for me. But with more practice on the mx track my confidence is rising on the T7. I will be doing a video on the DR exhaust soon.
Interesting comparison Pete, I’m also much faster on tight dirt roads on my DR 650 than the tiger 800. Being much lighter than the tiger, i can punt it harder in and out of corners but the 800 has the goods on the fast and steep climbs ect on good dirt.
Thanks Geoff, It was so good to do laps on the T7, It sounds sweet as well. I did give you a shout out on the video, but when I was editing I realised I said you channel name slightly wrong, so I decided to cut it out. hopefully next video mate. Looking forward to more Cape York.
Awesome Tracks... Pretty awesome that the DR wins every time ! Loved the Intermission! Wondering, what insert did you have on the DR's slip on! Cheers!
Thanks heaps Paul, my lack of skill holds the T700 back, and I feel more comfortable on the DR, but that gap is closing. Both bikes have there pros and cons. I'm running the street insert at the moment. The DR seems happier with it in. but I hope to do a video on the Screaming demon soon. FPP.
@@FULLPELTAdventures Yeah, that would be nice to get a good review on it. When you did the install with Mark, I emailed the company to see if they would ship to Canada and I never got a response. And when I looked at the website, it showed that Screaming Eagle was not available. Can you still get that slip on?
@@paulbourgoin2436 I just realised your "Bush Pig" Paul. I will look into the screaming demon for you. will let you know on the Biker Bits forum. Love the Cap, it's my new favourite.
@@ozoutdorz2584 bigrock moto did a pick up comparison between several bikes and the t7 was rated the worst. I think it's because of exactly that, the high center of gravity combined with a flat lay.
The video was just some fun for me ( a below average, Old Coot rider) on the 3 bikes. I love both the DR650 & T700. In my opinion owning both bikes is the go if you can, or if you get a T7, hold on to your DR for a while, and decide what you wanna do, Sell or keep? Test ride a T7 as well if you can before purchase. FPP.
When the borders open up, It would be great to get down that way and explore. I wonder what the mighty 1290 could do around the mx track? I reckon with a bit of practice, you can get that T700 smashing Boris’s times!

Cool ghost likes it. He wants the screaming demon now
The Screaming Demon is a great muffler, No complaints so far. And it has transformed the DR, So much more power.
Looks like fun I would love to get out riding soon. Looks like you're around near the Organ pipes!
