I think a mistake having to remove the tank to get at air cleaner. You don't have to with the 450MT yet the air cleaner is pretty much in the same place but you only have to remove the seat & that's the way it should be.
HI Frank, I agree with you totally. For a dual sport bike it should be an easy task. Thanks for your comment. Regards FPPete.
Just been playing catch up with this series Pete, what a great time you blokes are having, especially in the Qantas museum lol. Bunch of kids 😂 I've been through Ilfracombe many times and love driving past all the tractors along the roadside. Gotta love the long open roads in QLD. Watch out for that wildlife 🤙 Looking forward to the next instalment. Ride safe, Jason 👍
Thanks heaps Jason. We sure did have a good time. QLD is HUGE. Regards FPPete.
Geez surely there must have been some 750 water bottles and GT 550 & 380’s and I’m sure there was a 500 Titan and an Avenger there you didn’t focus on let alone a 500 or 350 four let alone a good look at a 400 super sport let alone a n X7, too many dirt bikes not enough road bikes and a lot of the display bikes look as though they were trailer Queens
Hi James, It sure was Motorcycle Overload. A fantastic event. Regards FPPete.
Enjoying following along on your trip north fantastic , appreciate your efforts Pete
Thanks heaps Paul, glad you enjoyed the video, really appreciate your comment. Regards FPPete.
That museum was awesome, Pete! I believe I did see a Foster's can in the bar.
Hi Bill, The Museum is an iconic Australian Place to visit. And yes there was a Fosters can in the mix. Thanks for your comment. Kind regards FPPete.
You blokes looked like you we're having a ball , looking forward to the next installment. Cheers Pete 🍻
Hi Will, Everyday was so much fun, Always having a laugh and enjoying the moment. It's fantastic to document this trip, relive and share our adventure. Glad your enjoying the series mate. Regards FPPete.
About bloody time, I’ve been waiting for the next instalment for weeks! Keep up the good work Pete!
Ha Ha, Thanks so much chris. It's comments like yours that really gives me a lift. I spend many hours editing the videos, and all the work that goes into Youtubing is worthwhile when I read positive comments. Thanks heaps Regards FPPete.
You do a great job Pete, love your work
Glad to see another episode keep them coming and stay upright

I laughed Pete! That was such a great time at Longreach. Men being Boys! Gotta luv it!! Well done, keep the entertaining videos coming. 👏👏👏
Never a dull moment Bob, There was always something happening. You sure come out with some classic comedy gold. Regards FPPete.
That looks to be Much easier then removing the plastic side panels of my Africa Twin!
Yes it is easier than the AT, but it could be better for a dual sport bike. Regards FPPete.
Esa velocidad fue salvaje en tierra fuera del asfalto 😯😯😯
Thank you, It sure is a fun bike to ride. Regards FPPete.
I like this bike for what it can do and the price no bike as yet comes close to it ,but one thing I don’t like is the ride by wire if I’m 100 klm out in the bush and the ride by wire packs up I’m stuffed and stranded if it was a cable I could fix it ,may be my lack of knowledge on ride by wire stops me buying one ,time will tell have to go and talk to a dealer about this ,jimmy WA
Hi Jimmy, I don't think there is anything to worry about. The Paper air filter and acess to it is my biggest concern. Otherwise it is a bloody good bike for what it is designed for. Good allrounder. Regards FPPete.
This bike is very good all round we know it’s not a dirt bike but for the price and what it can do no other bike can beat it ,but there’s one thing that stops me buying one is the ride by wire ,I like going out far in the bush at times if the ride by wire packs up I’m stuffed if it was a cable I could fix it ,might have to stick to my DR for now till I find out more knowledge about ride by wire any body out there got the same thoughts about ride by wire
Thanks jimmy, Keep the mighty DR for sure. However I have not heard of any problems with the ride by wire, it is very reliable. The Himalayan is a well built rugged bike, I would be happy to ride it into remote area's. Test ride one if you can. Regards FPPete.
Very bad placement for the air filter on a bike that is also meant to be ridden on dirt, but excellent video nonetheless.
Thanks for your comment, yeah the access to the air filter is a pain. Regards FPPete.
😱. What !! no cheese melt Cams with the Yamaha’s .. 🤣. Brilliant.
Thanks For your comment, It sure is a another great Bike in the Yamaha Stable. Regards FPPete.
@@FULLPELTAdventures Yep , Yamaha sure have got their share of modern classics at the moment , it’s impressive.
Some reviews comment that this bike vibrates a lot at 100 and over, like at touring speeds on the open road. Did that happen to you on this test?
Hi, in my opinion Vibrations were minimal, Certainly nothing to be concerned about. The foot pegs are rubber mounted. It is a comfortable bike to ride. Try and test ride one for yourself, this will help you decide if the bike is for you. thanks for your comment. Regards FPPete.
Thats the price of a second hand yamdasakivarna ...really sorted traveller
Yes the Price/Warranty is what makes this bike very appealing. It is selling well in Australia. Regards FPPete.
I wouldn’t personally call it easy, for an air filter(mine is just under the seat). But to do any other kind of work it’s taking off 6 fairings, so this is easier in that regard
Yes the Air filter access is not great, so it will be up to the buyer to decide if they are happy with it look for another bike. Regards FPPete.
I’m tempted on this bike….but I might be better suited for a dual sport and take the hit on the road capability rather than on the dirt. And that’s no lightweight…but still-it sounds like a great bike.
It sure is a capable bike, I always try and test ride a bike first and think about what you will using it for, and if it ticks your boxes. The CFMoto 450 is worth a look, Honda CRF300, or Suzuki DRZ400. Good luck, Regards FPPete.
Здравствуйте. Толщина стенки трубки рамы какая?

Okay, I bought a Sargent low for my DR and have ridden 2 years with it. It was a little hard but way better than the stock one. A couple weeks ago I started thinking that the regular must be better because it has more padding. I first sat on it after I put it on, very cushy and nice and thought, perfect! My butt was on fire after 20 miles. I ended up doing 95 miles yesterday and it was pure torture. Do they break in or am I screwed?
Seat's really are a personal thing. Softer seat is not necessarily more comfortable. If riding long distance, it won't matter what seat you have you will get a sore butt. The trick is to periodically Stand up on the pegs, move forward or back on the seat, Stretch your legs, lean forward, do any thing you can to relieve the pressure points on your butt. Think about your posture, even take a 5 min rest stop every hour. These are things I do when doing big miles. Regards FPPete.
not an ideal location but not terribly hard. At least you don’t have a bunch of plastics to remove as well.
Yes it's not ideal, and a foam filter would be preferred. Regards FPPete.
Come to Brazil please!
I hope the CFMOTO 450 does make it to Brazil, Would be a good market for it. Regards FPPete.
LOL no good in USA Utah mud
Yeah Horses for courses, The new 450 Himalayan is a huge improvement over the previous model, so Royal Enfield are heading in the right direction. Regards FPPete.
สุดยอดเลยครับผมผมชอบ 450 MT มาก❤
Thank you, It sure does hit the mark, and well be a popular choice. Regards FPPete.
So if super expensive KTM’s are munching themselves , why would you buy a cheaper version , already having probs it’s a pity because they look like good mail … until 😮
Yes time will tell if it's a winner, Early signs are good, and a good warranty period. They are selling well. Regards FPPete.
The man, the legend Chappie
Ha Ha, Hi Bill, He sure is a Legend. Regards FPPete.
Hi, what are "bark busters" on the mirrors? Kind regards Alain
Not sure what you mean, Bark busters are top quality hand guards. Regards FPPete.
@@FULLPELTAdventures I understood somewhere that the mirrors were good and you wouldn't change them but you would add bark busters. So I figured it was some kind of mirrorprotection against branches that I had never seen or heard of. Thanks for getting back to me. I must have misunderstood. So you would add handprotection :-). kind regards Alain
I'm very interested in this bike, Pete! We are supposed to get them here in the States October 2024.
Hi Bill, They are selling very well here in Australia. I'm sure it will be the same in the States. Sure would be a great 2nd bike with your CRF. Regards FPPete.
Love that silo art, Pete! Sunset at the end was awesome.
Thanks Bill, It sure was a great trip, so much to see along the way.
The guy with the CRF 300l rally shows great intelligence and taste.
Ha Ha, Yes the force is strong with CRF300 owners.
A great bike for the money in my opinion. Would love to try one. Recently I rode the 800MT and it surprised me a lot. The video will be available soon. Enjoyed your first impression ride. Keep it up. Cheers.
Thanks heaps, Yeah CFMoto are sure raising the bar. Glad you enjoyed the vid. Regards FPPete.
Simple..... Entertaining.... Good job 👌
Thanks a lot 😊 Glad you enjoyed the Vid, and really appreciate your Comment. Kind regards FPPete.
Gr8 skill 👌
Thanks heaps, Regards FPPete.
G'day Pete, enjoying the adventure with yourself and the crew. Queensland certainly is a big place didn't know it had big arsed talking emus thought. Cheers 🍻
Ha Ha, Thanks heaps Will. The good thing about "The Big Arse Emus" is they only come out at night. Funny thing is they appear if you turn your torch on. Turn the torch off and they disappear with out a word.
Great series. Giving me some inspiration to get up that way. Just gotta pick the right time of year.......keep it up. Cheers.
Glad your enjoying the Vids. Hope you get to do the Trip one day. Regards FPPete.
Nice sunset Pete ❤️ We spent a bit of time checking out Machinery Mile at Ilfracombe recently, it's pretty fuckin cool! Cheers
Thanks Joshie, Yeah when I saw it on your video, I wished we had more time to check it out like you did. Regards FPPete.
Mad buggers riding at that speed late in the day out there should be off the rd by 4 roo,s would have a field day with ya good vid
Thanks KGB, We were always on the look out for skippy's, especially late in the day. And we saw plenty of them. Glad you enjoyed the Video. Regards FPPete.
That emu was huge!!! 🙂 Keep 'em coming Pete!
Ha Ha, thanks mate, Yeah they are next level up in QLD. And they talk as well. LOL.
Old farts living the dream. Good on us 🥳
You nailed it ATS, And don't we love it. Regards FPPete.
Yeah, brilliant lads.
Thanks heaps Kev, Glad you enjoyed the Vid. Regards FPPete.
Really enjoying this series Pete and crew 😎👌
Thanks BB, It was so much fun, such a big country with so much to see and do. Regards FPPete.
Enjoying coming along on this adventure, virtually that is. Would really enjoy joining your “motley crew” on similar adventures in the future.
Thanks heaps Skuffy, Glad your enjoying the vid. If your near Melbourne, joining the Madcat MC helps meet like minded riders. Regards FPPete.
@@FULLPELTAdventures Thanks Pete. Will do that.
Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant Pete! Gotta watch out for those Emu's! I'm definitely reliving this trip. Such a great time! 👏👏😁
Thanks heaps BOB, Yeah those Huge Talking Emu's are Amazing. Glad you enjoyed the Vid mate. Hope Di liked the shout out. Regards FPPete.
Just an awesome trip Pete🎉.
Hi Peter, thanks heaps mate, Every day was a new adventure, never a dull moment. Would love to do it all again. Regards FPPete.
What’s the service intervals thanks …
hi Johnnoe, I believe 5000km intervals for oil change and Valve Clearance at 40000km. I need to confirm this. Regards FPPete.
Loving mine, my advice….just buy one💯👍🏽
Glad your enjoying your 450 MT, I like your advice. Regards FPPete.
G'day Pete, nice little hit out on the Mt, I seriously have thought of getting one as a second bike, I'd never part with the Dr. However its reliability is yet to be tested so i think I'll hang back for now . Looking forward to your in-depth review in the future. Cheers
Hi Will, I'm the same mate. Would not part with the DR, and the MT sure is a nice 2nd bike option. Time will tell. Thanks for your comment. Regards FPPete.
Great vid. What's it like at highway speeds ... like 100kph for an hour ? Too vibrate-ey ?
Hi Marty, Jack the owner said it's a very smooth engine no vibes, it's a 270 deg twin cylinder. 100kph is no vibes. Regards FPPete.
