I've had mine just over 2 years and probably average around £2.8k in fuel a year based on 6k miles. Servicing has been about £1200 for an A, B, and gearbox service. Maintenance has been quite a bit, ABS sensors, injectors, spark plugs, aux belt and pulleys, exhaust clamps, rocket cover gasket, oil temperature sensor, drop links, both front control arms probably a total of around £3k - I did most of that myself. Luckily my insurance is low, only paying about £425/yr on average. Conti rear tyres £370. Rough total cost of ownership (VED, fuel, servicing, insurance and maintenance) of £12k in about 12k miles. When people ask I say it costs about £1/mile to run. For some it could be a little less than this, half of my fuel was during the £2/l crisis and I have been quite unlucky with maintenance costs this last year. Also probably lost about £5k in depreciation as well haha!
The car is so much fun to own though, I WFH and only drive it at the weekends mainly.

I've got an E92 M3. I'm at £1 per mile but that includes everything over the 4 years I've owned it and 18 00 miles. Road tax £700 + per year, tracker subscription, insurance, maintenance and fuel which at around 19 mpg is roughly 35p per mile at current prices.
Edit - on a plus note don't think it's deprecated or if it has not a lot.

@@NomadJRG I think someone worked mine out as 82p per mile, but I still don’t think £1 per mile for this amount of car is bad at all! I haven’t sold mine yet, so I’m not sure about depreciation, but I’ll probably lose £2K judging by the current market, but considering I’ve put on about 20K of miles on it, I don’t think that’s bad going. It’s been the best car ownership experience I’ve ever had by far, and probably ever will! Worth every single penny, got to do it all whilst we can, before they price us out of these!

I haven’t driven one, but with it having forced induction, I just can’t imagine it encapsulating that special feeling the C63 has with it being such an event to drive, as well as it’s crescendo at the top of the redline. I’ve always loved the Impreza STI too, especially the blob eye one from 2003 I think? It seems we have similar car taste! The C63 is an incredible amount of car for the money, but it’s always very multipurpose and not one dimensional. You can easily long distance this car for several hours and it’s so relaxing. I did a video on my channel a few months ago, where I drove my C63 from London to Edinburgh on one tank of fuel.( 400 miles) I then drove straight home afterwards, (14 hours of driving) and I wasn’t a pile of mush when I got out, I had a bit of left knee ache but apart from that, I was fine! 😆 But a flick of the switch to sport + and some zesty throttle movement, and the car goes from benign… to bananas! 🍌
