    You are the best! You made it so simple!! I've watched a few of these videos and they were confusing. I'm the grandma and it's been 8 years since the last grandchild was in the car seat. With the new baby I bought another seat. Thank you so much God Bless you!

      I feel that! We tried for 6 long years before our 1st child was born. We went through hell and back! I cherish every second I have with that girl ❤️ our son was born after a one night slip up 🙈 lol. It’s crazy how that happened, especially after struggling with infertility for so long!

    Amazing video! My babe is 10.5 months old and I am looking at getting him a convertible seat for his birthday. I am sold on this one... you make the installation look SO easy!! I can't wait to use this car seat. Thank you for this video!!

    I’m so glad to hear you say your baby is sitting rear facing until she’s at least 40 lbs or 2 years old. My daughter is turning 3 in September and we just turned her around front facing this summer and I really wasn’t ready! She’s so tiny for her age (27.8 lbs) but her legs were scrunched up so I finally turned her. Everyone thinks I’m crazy and I caught a ton of crap for it but it’s safer to keep them rear facing as long we can! We have the baby jogger city view for her but I’m thinking of getting the Grace slim fit for our son who is 9 months old now but he is outgrowing his infant seat already.

    Just got this car seat in the mail for my son. My husband and I were trading an infant seat because daycares won’t let us keep the seat on facility right now (dang coronavirus). I was going to hold off on a convertible seat but one week of remembering to trade that seat was the final straw so bub is going in it now at 3 months. Your video gave me an idea of what the seat looked like before I bought it. You rock!

    Thank you for this helpful video! Does anyone know if the cushion inserts are for specific ages/ weights?? My daughter is 22 pounds and almost 12 months. I'm not sure if I am supposed to keep all the cushions in the way it comes, or if that is for a smaller baby since the seat is for newborns-100lbs.

      I have the same question. Following 😊

  • @DQuill
    @DQuill 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Yes! Children should be rear facing until they reach the height or weight limit, harnessed forward facing until that height or weight limit and then use a booster/seat in booster mode until height or weight limit! Far too many children are moved to the next mode too early. This is a life saving device and needs to be properly used every time 💕

    This car seat is awesome. I know parents spend a lot of money because of how fast kids grow up. It's good to know you can invest on this once and then pretty much forget about getting a new one. And, it looked so easy to install, definitely a plus.

    THANK YOU for saying about rear facing until 40 lbs or 2 years. Try and hit 40 lbs if you can! My 4 year old is still under 40 lbs and she still happily rear faces. My 5 year old made it to 5 and he was upset to forward face. He was a lot comfier rear facing since he could put his feet on the backseat and now FF he can’t do that he doesn’t like his legs dangling lol. Good job mom 😘

      Man, I wish my daughter was like your kids. She is 22 months and has figured out how to unlatch her chest strap in the rear facing seat we had. Imagine finding that out while on the road lol! She hates sitting rear facing. Since she hit the weight recommendation (she's about 25 lbs) I've given up trying to keep her rear facing. She just wants to see everything.

      There’s lots of options to keep a child rear facing. Different seats, removing the head rest so they can see more, using a mirror so you can see each other etc. It’s 5x safer to rear face.

    You are not supposed to use the top tether trap when rear-facing, it is used when forward facing. How would a passenger in the front adjust their seat if that strap is attached to the front seat? Oh, and the manual says to store the strap when rear facing... so there's that, too!

    Did you check to see if the seat moves less than 1 inch side to side or front to back? When I install this seat, I have to put pressure on the seat to make sure all the slack is taken out from the latch/seatbelt so the seat doesn’t move.

      The actual chances of it lasting till kiddo isn’t in need of a car seat any more. They’ll outgrow it by like seven. Kids need a booster until 10-12. It’s cheaper to just buy a regular convertible then a booster.

    Did this car seat afford good legroom for Legacy? My daughter is tall for her age and is a little over 11 months old now. I am looking for options mainly because she needs more legroom.

    • @PhillipsFamBabyJourney
      @PhillipsFamBabyJourney  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Legacy is in the 90th percentile for height and her little legs look so scrunched up in her seat rear facing. I know I said I was going to keep her rear facing until she met the weight restrictions but when she turns 2 in June I will probably switch her to forward facing so she can have more leg room.

    • @dragodavidCE
      @dragodavidCE 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can try the Graco Extend to fit as well, although that is only good up to 50lbs for rear-facing, then you have to switch to forward-facing, good up to 65lbs.

    • @lucybingham9926
      @lucybingham9926 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’d be surprised where children can fit their legs. It’s 5x safer to rear face a child, so having their legs scrunched up is a non-issue.

      @@lucybingham9926 Agree. Just because their legs are scrunched up, doesn't mean they are uncomfortable. Also another way is to have them cross their legs like how they sit criss-cross applesauce lol. Just follow the weight restrictions. The neck and spinal cord are still underdeveloped the younger they are and so in the event of a crash, they are more likely to get neck and spinal cord injuries. Rear facing minimizes those injuries greatly. Keep in mind, it's alot harder to fix a broken neck than a broken leg

      My pleasure! Since I needed 2 carseats and the buy buy baby coupon was for 20% off one item it def would have cost me more in the end. Glad it worked out for you!

      @@PhillipsFamBabyJourney oh yeah! They only allow one online. Bummer. If you place the order in store, they apply more than one coupon. Again this is just info for anyone who might want to go for their local buy buy baby. Thanks again for your informative and to the point video!

      Depends on the car, you need to check your manual as not all cars are able to have car seats installed in every seat.
