Seriously ... this 65 yr old grandma just went outside and installed the brand new car seat (Grayco Slimfit ) bought for when my daughter and her 15 month old son get here tomorrow :D YAAAAAY!~!~~ Thank you! First I practiced attaching and detaching the latch so that I would know what I was attempting to do. Then, I did it EXACTLY how you said (though I moved my front seats way up so that I would fit! LOL) and then I got behind the car seat as you did. I connected the latches and then reached in on the INside .. and pulled and pulled. Then I checked the bulb/ball thing and realized I had moved the base of the seat a bit just before tightening the latch straps. I readjusted the base and then pulled taut - very tight. I did the wiggle thing. I sent video clip to my daughter - who is now VERY relieved that her son will be safe in our crazy traffic! (uh ya think I wouldn't do everything possible to make that happen for my only grandchild!!!) Thank you again!
thank you so much for this video to introduce how to install the cars eat. It was driving my husband and I crazy yesterday. And we almost give it up and turn to purchase another car seat.
Does the base of the car seat have to be flush with the vehicle seat? My captains seats are very slanted so the base isn’t flush but I was still able to get a very tight install.
Hello, Thanks for this video. My son is 13 months old, very tall for his age, above 99 percentile. Thinking of going with this model since there is extra leg room. I am also considering 4 in 1 models, am I loosing anything by going with this model compared to 4 in 1 model? Appreciate any suggestions.
The bars are a standard dimension. I wonder if you are trying to attach the car seat to something that isn't the lower anchor (sometimes there are metal parts that can be confused for a lower anchor). The 65 pounds on your seat is for FORWARD-facing. The rear-facing limit on the Extend2Fit is 50 pounds. Currently there are no car seats in the US that go above 50 pounds rear-facing. Almost every car seat has a higher weight limit for forward-facing than it does for rear-facing.

The bar in my car feels too big! The hooks won’t latch on. Please help!

Mine says up to 65 lbs rear facing.
