    Man I’ve been loading non automated with my LnL AP for a while now and I finally pulled the trigger on this bullet feeder. Nice to have an in depth setup video. Cheers 🍻

    I know this video is a few years old, so you have likely fixed the problem. It looks like your shell plate is not quite indexing completely and it is getting hung up on the bottom part of the case alignment sleeve. A small adjustment to the pawl to index a touch more should fix it. Maybe this comment will help someone else. Great video.

    I wish they just sold the rifle bullet feeder setup without the drum and allowed tubes similar to others for rifle bullets... Not that, I shouldn't be cave and get the entire kit - I want to walk thru slowly and see it in action - This video was outstanding for that.

    The possibility of seating two bullets into one case is scary. That's a deal breaker to me. I use the Mr. Bullet Feeder and drop the bullet in one station and seat in another. Takes two stations but I can see what's going on.

    Why on earth have they not made such a die for pistol?? I guess the bigger diameter of the pistol bullets might not be able to pass the seating stem, but I'd still expect Hornady to be able to overcome that

    I just saw at 22:38 that the bullet was upside down when feed into the die

    are you just using that last station to work in(5th ) instead of 4th for the station for production.i bought all the shell feeder ,the bullet feeder with the auto feeder die and im getting confused with dies and their right function,and the right placement on station of dies.

      +rb4097 Hi, I used station 5 because it gave me the best path from the bullet feeder tub to the die. For 223, I use station 4 because the path needs to be a bit different. Both station 4 and 5 are empty because a few of the stations are doubled up so I had a choice of which to use. I'll do a video on how the stations are set up. It's a bit different for pistol and rifle dies and it depends on what kind of dies you have (PTX measure, bullet feeder, etc.). Thanks for watching!

    you say your expanding the case...is that a full size die or a m die you are using?

    How do you tell when you have the right crimp set up????

    • @hornadyloader7574
      @hornadyloader7574  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Clarence, Once you have the die screwed down to the point where it has come into contact with the neck, it will only take about 1/8 to 1/4 turn to apply the crimp. Of course, in order for this to work repeatedly, each case needs to be trimmed to the same length. Start with 1/8 turn and check the crimp, if it doesn't appear to have crimped it enough, try another 1/8 turn. Beyond that, you are probably over crimping. - HL

      What do I look for to see "when it appears to have crimped enough...".
