    I had one in one of my presses once and they sent me new bushings and shims. They're awesome. In fact my oldest LNL AP I had driveshaft issues and they refurbished the whole press for me, $0.00. Again the best.

      Well they were willing to fix it if I could ship it in, so there are no hard feelings there. They've given me super customer service throughout all the years. Top notch service.

    Afternoon man!
    Excellent thinking!
    Time To learn to weld maybe!!
    VERY USEFUL TO KNOW!
    Before I had a welder I would use local muffler shop 5pm on a Friday with six pac in hand.

    Hornady has great customer service. I’ve even admitted to them when I misused stuff/made mistakes and offered to pay, and they refused to take my money.

    I too have had great luck with my LNL. But Hornady should provide a basic tool to remove/install those bushings.

    I just used an old die to unscrew and replace the above...
    What was the upside of removing the die and weld a lever to it over the simple above, put the ring-key-wrench directly on the die and replace the above?
    (It neither left any marks nor damaged anything at all. But I must be missing something here as it feels something like swimming across the river to fetch water?)
    In general - good videos & great topics - this one left me with I just dont understand why and I know Im missing something important.
    Please explain it to me?
    May the force be with you mates,
    Sweden

    Possibly mine wasn't quite as tight but I was able to remove and replace one of mine just holding the Die bushing with channel lock pliers, worth a shot for anyone who doesn't want to build a wrench or sacrifice a lnl bushing

    Should be able to take a die with the adapter on it and just get a wrench on it and twist counterclockwise to get the conversion bushing to break lose.
    I converted a RCBS Rockchucker to use the Lock n Load system, get it screwed in tight then take a die with the adapter locked down to give it an extra snug. Then just do the same in reverse to remove the conversion insert to remove.
    Most reloading companies RCBS, Hornady, Dillon if there is a problem with the press or dies will take of you and if not all most of the time at no cost to you.

    Hmmmm…. I have a Lock & load also… need to check this as I have been getting inconsistent finish lengths.

    I had to change a few
    I took the bushing and found a couple flats on it and can get a wrench on it to turn it out

    • @FullLeadTaco
      @FullLeadTaco  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I did that first, but the flats kept rounding, so I thought of this. Another idea would be to weld a socket on a bushing-- then you could torque to a specific amount

    • @CorwinBos
      @CorwinBos ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FullLeadTaco My first idea was a piece of bar stock the thickness of whatever the gap and width is on the bushing lugs and turn it out with a big adjustable wrench. But I didn't have any, so flats it was!

    It's like deja Vu, a glitch in the matrix. 😆
    I hear they rolled back a bunch of strikes for attaching suppressors on different channels. Yours get removed?

    • @harmungus
      @harmungus ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, they should, it was unjustified. My two cents.
      I liked that video, too.. I think those little TCM rifles are a good candidate for the swap. Glad it's still available elsewhere.

  • @eos5564

    Does buying a new one from Harbor Freight work? Mine has the same problem and I used the new O-Ring and also tighten mine with tool, I will check the bushing to see if it is damaged? Probably I am making the problem worse tightening it with hornady tool!
