You can't imagine how I apreciate that you show the complete episodes, now people can see the context of the program. Being Dutch it bothered me that nobody got a real idea of the concept of the show in reaction videos. It is so important to hear and see the reactions of the other guests before and after the performance. And don't forget the band, they are incredible. Thank you.
tbf its mostly americans missunderstanding. Cause the show is on TV in many european countries :) (Wich is a good thing as this is one of the few music-shows wich rly is about music)
I agree, it's a great show. Although I do like the Flemish version (Liefde voor muziek) a little bit better. It shows more how they spend their days together filming some fun moments and you get to know them. So you don't have the presenter and it's just the artists together. They also don't pick a winner. Another difference is they pick only numbers that the artist made themselves and they always make their own version of it, which is sometimes very different and a nice surprise.
I'm really grateful for the way you two treat this show. Of course Floor is impressive pretty much always. And the others do impress as well. But to me this show is about so much more than a bunch of great singers all in their own genre. It's about stepping up your game, getting out of your comfort zone reaching for the heart and soul of the other. I believe you guys responded to that. So thank you!
All these singers clearly love music, singing performing. In this show they can go back to the essence of why they are making music. They earn there money with it, which is great but that is not the real reason why they make mysic. In this program they can go back to the roots of their talents as musician. It is not about competing, not about making sure your music is commercial enough and makes lots of music. It is about celebrating music and give the singers the chance to really celebrate and share their love for music and being an artist. I think that that is the reason why it so fantastic to watch.
I like the variety of artists very much, in Germany I sometimes take a chance on “Sing my song“ but either I like only 1 singer of all the artists or I fall asleep during the first commercial break I love the group of singers of this Dutch season and like the heartwarming way they are presented
Very happy and appreciative that you guys committed to doing these shows full-length! Really wish that the US had something with a similar format as it is such a nice approach to music appreciation, of multiple genres! Sorry for getting to this rather late. Busy week. But I was so looking forward to revisit this with you guys. For me, I understand a few bits and pieces in Dutch but not enough to follow it all. Thanks, Denise :) I felt the background stories of both the person they were performed for as well as the story or deeper meaning of the songs brought a much deeper understanding. More depth of feeling. This format, we have ii in my country, Germany, as well. It’s called Sing my song here. But our neighbors in the Netherlands do a far far far ( 2 hours later ) far better job of it. It was an emotional rollercoaster ride that show... I knew Floor, I knew Tim ... the others were new to me... at the end of the series, they felt like old friends, each episode felt like idk a class reunion.. I watched Wolf follow the emotions, the facial expressions, the singers on the sofa tearing up, the misty eyed looks. The song was in Dutch. No subtitles. But he got it. Music really is a universal language. True artistry doesn’t need explanation, doesn’t need subtitles. Passion is passion. In every language. I‘m fairly certain that you two haven’t seen the other episodes yet, silly me, of course not. Your reactions are raw, pure. Your discussions about music, about life.. might sound pathetic, but it’s sort of a religion to me. We work on the same wavelength when it comes to how intensely we perceive and live music. So you two are kind of the same to me as those artists. A weird sense of getting together with friends. Everything is as it has always been before. Sistah shredding through the tissues, Wolf drinking from bigger and bigger mugs every episode ( seemingly )... I think when we get to the last episode of Beste zangers, he‘ll be drinking from a bucket ;) Your channel is of of the ultimate highlights on YT for me. Definitely. And while I‘m trying not to spoil anything Beste zangers upcoming in the next few weeks, one piece of advice... don’t run out of tissues. You’re gonna need them.

The most fun of this show with all singers from different kind of music is that they are all taken out of their own comfort zone by singing a different genre than their own style of music. And sometimes as we did see with Henk Poort by doing a distortion they do re-invent themselves.

Well, COVID is what it is, missing live music I made my rounds and came back to Beste Zangers... What an awesome concept for a show - Display the best of everyone, yet maintain a feeble 'competition' (not really) and just enjoy music. Everything in the US is competitive, and that isn't always bad, but sometimes it is nice just to enjoy the music. :) Beste Zangers, thanks! Oh yeah, we all know Floor is the best! ;)

The resort, where this show was aired, is the Atzaró in Ibiza ^^ I was amazed to find it out because it is not far where my family always stay ^^ I visited this resort once for making pictures. Did not know, that this place is popular for TV Shows

#HalfLifeSistah Floor is very linguistically gifted to boot, regarding pronounciations etc. She really picks up the proper harmonies very quickly. It didn't take her long to learn swedish impressively well enough for example. :)

I have to say something about the Marcel Fisser Band, probably the best studio band in the business. Also, about Floor; nobody below opera singers comes near to what she can do with her voice. Years and years of vocal training in all genres have put her head and shoulders above all others(and she's tall enough to BE head and shoulders above them).
This was my favorite performance by Floor on the show. I know Phantom is the one that blew her up, but this one just hits me, and I can't understand a word if it. I cannot wait to see Nightwish this September.
I really heart this channel :). If I could make a request, I think Sistah would really connect with Heilung’s song Norupo. They just came out with a new video for it. Either way awesome video and thank you!
You will love the 2017 season too. Maan (Dutch for moon) is the young talented female vocalist, Brace the R&B singer, Anita Meyer a great pop singer from the 80s....quite some pearls.
Now with all these shows that mix different genres it's proven, classical music is not the opposite to heavy metal(even grind).. It's a circle where these all genres meet, pop,metal and classical, and makes a perfect mix.. Floor once again rocked the boat and hit the centre, combining all

I hope you get to see the whole series as we watched it together in the discord server since people were kind enough to stream it as it was on tv. I wish we had a show like this in the US but I don't think the ego of the artists here would allow such a nice friendly environment.
gzin33: The show became a success when managers, pr people etc. were denied access to the performing artist in the time they recorded the show. I think an USA version would be successful then also. If they can create the same intimate atmosphere the whole world would enjoy such an US show with a lot of well known artists.
It's so awesome to see how you guys are clearly Floor fans, but still so respectful and able to fall in love with these other artists who are so different. Next episode is Floor's, forget everything you think you know about these other artists, they're gonna surprise you. How bad Tim is at Spanish, that's how awesome of a rock singer (I think) he is.

Well, COVID is what it is, missing live music I made my rounds and came back to Beste Zangers... What an awesome concept for a show - Display the best of everyone, yet maintain a feeble 'competition' (not really) and just enjoy music. Everything in the US is competitive, and that isn't always bad, but sometimes it is nice just to enjoy the music. :) Beste Zangers, thanks! Oh yeah, we all know Floor is the best! ;)

The resort, where this show was aired, is the Atzaró in Ibiza ^^ I was amazed to find it out because it is not far where my family always stay ^^ I visited this resort once for making pictures. Did not know, that this place is popular for TV Shows

Floor is so secure and at peace with herself and what she can do, that she never ever has to try and be anything other than who she is. may we all find something that leads us to be our best selves.
#HalfLifeSistah Floor is very linguistically gifted to boot, regarding pronounciations etc. She really picks up the proper harmonies very quickly. It didn't take her long to learn swedish impressively well enough for example. :)
strange , i read the translation even when i'm actually Dutch LOL Ruben brought me to tears with this emotional song about the loss of the love of your/his life.And when Henk did his thing on stage you could carry me away .
I have to say something about the Marcel Fisser Band, probably the best studio band in the business. Also, about Floor; nobody below opera singers comes near to what she can do with her voice. Years and years of vocal training in all genres have put her head and shoulders above all others(and she's tall enough to BE head and shoulders above them).
Was about to goto bed, but just wanted to watch this ☺️ hope the next ones will be sooner, they'll be singing to Floor next round.

This was my favorite performance by Floor on the show. I know Phantom is the one that blew her up, but this one just hits me, and I can't understand a word if it. I cannot wait to see Nightwish this September.

You will love the 2017 season too. Maan (Dutch for moon) is the young talented female vocalist, Brace the R&B singer, Anita Meyer a great pop singer from the 80s....quite some pearls.

Unfortunately most of the translated videos were taken down by TH-cam. I am sure if you ask Denise on discord she can provide you the rest of the series. I hope you get to see the whole series as we watched it together in the discord server since people were kind enough to stream it as it was on tv. I wish we had a show like this in the US but I don't think the ego of the artists here would allow such a nice friendly environment.
gzin33: The show became a success when managers, pr people etc. were denied access to the performing artist in the time they recorded the show. I think an USA version would be successful then also. If they can create the same intimate atmosphere the whole world would enjoy such an US show with a lot of well known artists.
