The concept of the show is, that on one day all singers sing a song for one of them. It's a song that is by that singer or a song that means a lot for him / her. So it is very interesting to get to know the story behind each song. And it will help to understand the reactions of the other singers. Floor is singing there in German, Dutch, Spanis and English. You're going to love her on this show lol! Floor sings in 4 different languages German, Dutch, Spanish and English. You more than likely will have never heard any of the other songs she sings on the show but she hits a home run with every one. I think only one of the other singers on the show was familiar with Floor all the rest had no clue who she was along with most everyone in her home country of the Netherlands. this is a much more intimate version than Gagas and I think it surprised all the other singers as they were all expecting Floor to belt it out as that is what she does for a living! If the army gets on you for incorrect something or rather it is only because we care about you! :D

Yes, I am another Nghtwish fan, but I have to say I am a music fan, if the composition and lyrics grab me I don't care who is singing it or what style it is. I really admire a band who can do a stripped back acoustic version of a song and it still be able to stand as a solid version. So while I can listen all day long to the epics that Tuomas and Nightwish have created like Ghost Love Score, Greatest Show on Earth, The Poet and The Pendulum (that is such a deep and meaningful song I think I forget to breathe) and Shoemaker, I go looking for the quieter or acoustic versions to listen to while painting (pictures not walls). My friend you must remember that many of your viewers are from Europe. Europeans usually are able to speak 2, 3, or 4 different languages and they are trying to help you to understand some deeper cultural issues like pronunciations and such. It is not meant to demean your intelligence, only to help you learn and grow. Open your mind to the bigger world. In fact, one of my favorite bands is a rap/street metal group from India called Bloodywood. They could not be more different than Nightwish, but I love them just as much. And my all time favorite group is Deep Purple, a classic rock band that's been around since 1968! I just meant from a sociological perspective, your video is a great reminder that none of us are as simple as a stereotype would make us out to be.

Hey, if you want to see a different side of Floor Jansen you should check her out in her previous band before nightwish. Revamp songs disdain and wildcard, awesome.
Metal isn't part of the pop culture of the Netherlands. I can't help but think she was invited to this group of singers from Holland for contrast or possibly comic relief. They knew she was a tattooed lady who sang in a metal band. Then she opened the series singing light opera. Jaws dropped. She did a wonderful and impressive job singing each selection that she chose, and closed out the final show with a stunning interpretation of the Phantom Duet with Henk Poort (the oldest of the singers in the group). The video went viral, racking up a million views a week for over a month. (Over 13 million to date.) She is now well known in the Netherlands, somewhat to her surprise, although she doesn't spend as much time there, as she now lives in Sweden with her husband and daughter.

Floor EASILY beats gaga except for on one aspect...Gaga produces her own music and that is HIGHLY respectable in my eyes. This show Beste Zangers brought Floor to another level showcasing her versatility. Many songs from this show you can also check out. This one did come through a bit too quiet. I agree. I was prepared for her usually loudness and it was a complete overlook on my part. I tried to boost in post but I didn't get it quite as amped as I wanted because the distortion started coming through.

Can I just say that I think it is so fantastic that you love tis song? It's another exercise in "don't judge a book by its cover." @@Versifyer Oh, my mind is crazy open. I listen to ALL kinds of music (except country... just can't do it) from all over the world. In fact, one of my favorite bands is a rap/street metal group from India called Bloodywood. They could not be more different than Nightwish, but I love them just as much. And my all time favorite group is Deep Purple, a classic rock band that's been around since 1968!

Beste Zangers (your pronunciation is fine I think) is a Dutch reality tv show featuring some of the top Dutch singers and they take turns singing each other's songs or maybe their favorites. This episode they were singing for Emma Heesters which Floor chose Shallow. Another of my favorites is Winner which she sings for Tim Akkerman who wrote the song for his wheelchair bound brother so it's very emotional but uplifting. Link:

Metal isn't part of the pop culture of the Netherlands. I can't help but think she was invited to this group of singers from Holland for contrast or possibly comic relief. They knew she was a tattooed lady who sang in a metal band. Then she opened the series singing light opera. Jaws dropped. She did a wonderful and impressive job singing each selection that she chose, and closed out the final show with a stunning interpretation of the Phantom Duet with Henk Poort (the oldest of the singers in the group). The video went viral, racking up a million views a week for over a month. (Over 13 million to date.)
She is now well known in the Netherlands, somewhat to her surprise, although she doesn't spend as much time there, as she now lives in Sweden with her husband and daughter.
Blame the radiostations not the people and nightwish does have fans in the netherlands. (comic relief) ?????....you can't help thinking wrong, i think!!!!! And also an insult to Floor, i think

Yes it’s hard not to compare artists to another because that’s how associate to what we’ve listened to. That said poor Gaga she lost her song to Floor. She destroyed this song stripped down as it is. This show Beste Zangers brought Floor to another level showcasing her versatility. Many songs from this show you can also check out. This one did come through a bit too quiet. I agree. I was prepared for her usually loudness and it was a complete overlook on my part. I tried to boost in post but I didn't get it quite as amped as I wanted because the distortion started coming through.
