Can remember back in 80s every other dad in the neighborhood had one of those big oldschool buck knives and just one black sharpening stone they would spit on and sharpen knives with guess it must have worked to a certain extent.
Thanks for the video? How is this blade holding up? I read that Sleipner steel is corrosion resistant so I'm hesitant to pick this one up. Plus for a D2'ish steel (again from what I've read) the current +$200 price tag seems high these days.
It's holding up fine, one of my favourite EDC knives .
Is it hard to disassemble and assemble? Nice vid btw
Hi Jonathon, fairly simple, you need a Torx set for the screws, and from memory the hardest part was putting the blade back in because it wants to fight against the lockbar, you feel like you want three hands (one hand holding the blade, one hand putting the pivot pin in and one hand holding the lockbar down) ! my solution to this was to use a rubber band and wrap around the handle holding the back lock down, thus removing any pressure while inserting the blade and pivot pin. hope you understand what I explained !? Have a good one.
@@shedseven-three4705 Hey that is a very helpful explanation! Thanks a lot!
