OMG can't believe I commented last week on Alderich's previous video and now my prayers have been answered! Nice to hear that my taste is the same as everyone (many people also recommended this stall).
Of course you'll be able to taste the different flavor profiles if ones spice tolerance is higher. I think for food that has a chilli element to it then it shouldn't be weighed down if one's spice tolerance is inadequate enough to taste the various flavours
try Sedap! at one north!! They have 3 different kinds of chicken(har cheong, tumuric, normal fried) and 4 types of sambal and a big array of other sides
Hey Alderic love the series, but did you actually ask the owner of Spicy Wife whether he uses fresh or frozen chicken? It would be good if you did some behind the scenes interviewing of the stall owners! I’ve seen the hard working uncle prepare the chicken on a public holiday, so want to make sure you’re being fair to him in your review ❤
@@Alderic. I see! Think in your video you mentioned you went at around 1030am. If the uncle was busy, perhaps could have waited till he had a break to ask? Just heartpain for the uncle that you’ve publicly said his chicken is frozen w/o checking w him first …
Everyone will tell you Village Park in KL and the chicken there is indeed top notch. But please give Nasi Lemak Wanjo in Kampung Baru a try. The fried chicken is dry but everything else is great.
GRANDPA YONG GRANDPA YONG!!! (@mount austin) 🤣 sorry just had it over the weekend so just had to repost my suggestion, still the best imo and it meets your criteria of non spicy sambal 😉 rice is crazy, chicken is crazy too!
Hi Alderic, enjoyed your videos thus far. T1 Staff Canteen: Nasi Lemak (Stall located on the right of the western food/chicken rice stall) Nasi Lemak is only available in the morning, usually sold out by 10am? You wont be able to enjoy the staff discount but I think the price should still be reasonable.
Alamak @Alderic, you are such a tease, to intro the KL/Malaysia Arc & then left us hanging until next week! Hopefully a Bigger--Longer--Uncut bumper episode next week ... starting with Village Park Nasi Lemak in Damansara Utama PJ? (It opens early i.e. 6:30am)
Chicken won't have frozen taste even you freezer it long. First clean the chicken, immediately one must put seasoning marinate the first day, pack and freezer. In quantity, pack 10 pieces (lay flat), rubber band seal and stack up the freezer space. The longer you marinate in the freezer, the more delicious well seasoning the chicken. Defrost the frozen marinated chicken by putting the sealed pack into the tap water, say 30 minutes in room temperature before oil fried. Freezer Frozen Marinated Chicken storage 2 weeks no problem.
Spicy wife sounds like you gonna have a hell of a life in the long run leh... anyways. Half cooked yolk and egg white still ok for me, I prefer it like that. But when you say the nasi lemak feels more like chicken rice that one idk man, it wont feel like a nasi lemak at all. With that chicken size though... can't complain. Confirm will be full after that meal
As a Singaporean, i'd say i am fluent in Melayu and not BM(Bahasa Malaysia). Also, you don't have to be fluent in Malay to do a quick google search on pronouciation.
@2:03 - What?! You expect a fully cooked sunnyside up? Most people including me prefer the yolk to be runny! People hates a fully cooked egg, or sometimes overcooked egg with plastic-like texture. For your info. You're weird sometimes
If u cant taste anything from the sambal except for the spiciness, the other taste are probably non-existent. I've had nasty chilli like that before. Just spiciness and nothing else. On a side note, I'm very curious abt Xiaxue's nasi lemak. Tried it yet?
@@Drippinonyou talking about sg right. U don’t cb. For me to eat nasi lemak in Penang minimally need to take 2 day leave. Punggol nasi lemak I can just drive over and queue 15 mins. Within 1 hr I’m back home
the sambal spicy meh...i find it not spicy at all. If this is spicy then the uptown nasi lemak sambal will blow your brains out already...i find that sambal spicy
the amount of food (rice +chicken) vs the amount of sambal....even after zooming in so close...you can still tell how pathetic the amount of sambal was. No need to taste, it has already failed.
“Do you know how good things have to be for a Singaporean to give that answer?” TRUE THAT
I love under-cooked fried eggs. It give the fried egg some moisture, almost like juicy but with the crispy underside and edges so texture is 👌
OMG can't believe I commented last week on Alderich's previous video and now my prayers have been answered! Nice to hear that my taste is the same as everyone (many people also recommended this stall).
LETTSSS GOOO cant wait for malaysia Arc. Lets go babyyyy

Second to this.
I third this.
Have you try Village Park Nasi Lemak at KL. Is pretty good too
try Sedap! at one north!! They have 3 different kinds of chicken(har cheong, tumuric, normal fried) and 4 types of sambal and a big array of other sides
Uptown Nasi Lemak (Telok Ayer)!!
Thank you for the wonderful food 👍
KL - village park Nasi lemak. Enjoy the Hokkien mee while you’re in KL too!
I think the best nasi lemak in Singapore should be Lawa Bintang (Queen of Nasi Lemak)!
Give The Coconut Valley JB a try!
Really liked their nasi lemak rendang and curry mee too!
In KL - Nasi Lemak Bumbung but they have their days.
Amoy also has a nasi lemak that sells out before lunch time.. is it still there?

I understand where you're coming from but I don't want to bother the stall owners while they're busy nor do I want to put them on the spot.

Can try different variants of nasi lemak, like nasi lemak kukus, or the one paired with fried chicken with curry leaves one.
Everyone will tell you Village Park in KL and the chicken there is indeed top notch. But please give Nasi Lemak Wanjo in Kampung Baru a try. The fried chicken is dry but everything else is great.
That egg looks perfect to me 🍳
LET'S GOOO he finally made it to Amoy
and at my favorite stall too
Only 1 plate😮
First time I disagree with your rating, I think the chilli is amazing. Maybe I’m biased towards spicier chillis haha
dude your content is so good. hope to see more of your videos
My taste palette is basic…I miss ananas nasi lemak set. Cheap and good
I would like to suggest you try Blk 101, Yushun Ave 5. The rice is very fluffy, and sambal is spicy and tasty.
Unit 01-03. P/S - I have tried the other 2 in Yishun that you reviewed, and I like this one most.
OMG ARE WE FINALLY GETTING THE LONG AWAITED VILLAGE PARK NASI LEMAK NEXT???
Can't wait for the next arc!!
Wild Coco have reviews declaring it the best and reviews stating otherwise. I am curious as to what is your opinion.

Uptown Nasi Lemak (Telok Ayer), to me is pretty good, love their chili
Generally, the small nasi lemak stalls near KL's LRT that are cooked by some random mack cik are some of the best I have tried.
Hi Alderic, enjoyed your videos thus far.

This one really value for money. Ate before not the best but you can’t complain much.
Could you do a series reviewing food from Tiktok lives? Always see people sell dishes/desert on there
theres another nasi lemak at amoy thats good too, but only open until 12pm
EXCITED FOR THE NEXT EP
Fong seng nasi lemak clementi road near nus
Spicy wife is very good value. I'd say they use the chicken frying grease to cook the rice instead of just using pure coconut milk.
Yo u gonna go try the coconut club. Atlas nasi lemak at its very best
I think your Nasi Lemak journey is gonna long ;)....which means i can enjoy more videos from you
wished you visited the best nasi lemak at amoy - the chinese nasi lemak stall at the very end. sold out by 11am btw

Do you mean rempah by way of spelling and pronunciation?
Glad that my comment resonates

Husk Nasi Lemak ❤
There's no way SG will be able to beat Malaysia's nasi lemak on the simple basis that Malaysia has access to fresh chicken.
It went from ayam BAE-REM-PA to REM- PAE....i guess i am glad he didn't say Nasi LOOMAK and sam-BAR.
Thanks for the BM lesson. I assume you are fully fluent in BM?
