Awesome to see a sudden resurgence for the passion of the Z. As a daily driver of a 09 Sport + Touring in pristine condition I can say the car is an absolute banger for me. I love driving the car and get excited every time I turn on the ignition, it's fun/fast enough for street driving, get's me in and out of lanes as needed, it is a ton of fun on the corners, it withstood the test of time aesthetically as I get a lot of compliments on the car, it's not riddled with excessive technology (less is more), and lastly it's bulletproof when it comes to reliability. Nice review! For those who want more power Z Motorsports is putting out an easy to install supercharger that'll bump you up to 500 hp on 93 octane for roughly 8k USD.
Good to see a hater converted! I noticed he was hesitant and had already made up the decision in his mind that he wasn't gong to like the car before reviewing it. Afterwards I am happy to see him change his tune!
😂 I genuinely didn't think he was going to like it! Like you said, he went into it already not liking it, but we try to stay open minded. Thank you for watching! - Drew
I need to comment just because i can compare this to several cars. Ive owned dozen of drivers cars and I currently own; Integra Type R M3CS NA1 NSX 5mt E36M3 5mt Autocross Golf R 6mt( rip) I just picked up a Nismo V2 6mt and let me tell you what an underrated machine this is. This thing is neutral, poised, with excellent feedback and dynamics. I will he autocrossing it tomorrow & feel confident it will do well. Only gripe is that it drives a little big, given its weight. But thats it. Its a modern analog car for drivers. V2 also has some additional chassis bracing compared to the V1 that most dont know about!
370z is a fantastic sports car. It's a driver's car that's far more analog and connected to the road than almost anything in production today. I had a 2015 370z Sport for about 3 years, and it was completely reliable. Such a fun, sexy car.
I loved the introduction Drew, that was awesome. I'm glad you guys enjoyed it, you have to throw it around to see how good it is. I'm glad the car changed your mind about Z cars Ken, the rear end really does grip doesn't it 😂 I hope you guys will drive it again once it's heavily modified
Glad you like the video dude! Thank you again for trusting us, and telling us to drive it hard 😂 Definitely looking forward to driving it modified! - Drew
I made the mistake of buying some cheap(er) tyres to replace the oem ones...the back isn't as planted...should have just spent the extra $ for the dunlops. Still fun but the back end kicks fairly reliably even in warm weather.
To anyone with a modified exhaust you need to get the fake Bose engine sound turned off by the dealer. It's easy for them to do but you might need to show them how. It transforms the car. In that video, from inside the car, that's all that I could hear, fake sound. I have an Invidia Gemini on mine, which isn't the loudest but it sounds wonderful when it's all that you can hear. Beautifully built and gives it a genuine kick in the pants with better economy too. Lovely cars. I've had the back end step out twice on mine but it was instantly catchable and very confidence inspiring in that regard because i've had other cars that just keep rotating[MX-5 ND].
😂 I have the same set up and you need the Fake sound to cut out some of the cabin drone ! Up graded exhaust means extra cabin drone ..i had to sound proof the boot ! Thats one of the reasons it there for !!
Mines a 2013 Touring Sport so doesn't have the fake in cabin sound. I did a lot of research on exhaust before going for the Invidia Gemini as it would appear to have next to zero drone and a more mature sound, turns out to be the best 1,800 bucks (I'm on Vancouver Island) that I've spent on it, it sounds freekin amazing, and along with a Z1 2.5" cold air intake made a noticeable difference to drivability and Umph!! I fitted Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires, and an Eibach Pro handling kit with progressive uprated springs that dropped the ride height by 20mm (just perfect) and heavier adjustable sway bars - all this has made it one of my all time favorite cars to drive, and I driven and competed in quite a few! Thanks so much for the brilliant review, the 370z is a classic in my opinion, last of a breed, and you absolutely have to drive one to appreciate that. I'm in my sixties but feel like a nineteen year old, and look like a Cheshire Cat every time I drive it ;o)
I can relate to much of what you say. I also spent ages researching exhausts before settling on the Invidia Gemini and it is a bargain for the perfect sound with zero drone + some extra power and better economy. The cold start up blows me away every time! I also fitted Pilot Sport 4s tyres, at 18,000km and they're still looking good at 36,000km unlike the Bridgestones at the same distance. I've got 10 years on you so it's more than enough as it is without going any further and I also feel like i'm 18[even younger!] again, especially when I wind it out to overtake. I'm tempted to fit the Invidia HF cats and would love to fit headers but that[headers] is a major pain which i'm not doing or paying to have done, plus there are complications for RHD. It was a great review and I appreciate your interesting reply. @@martinron

Need to learn the facts… criminally missinforming earlier on. 350z came out in 03 with 276, next gen 350 DE rev up engine had 296, and final gen with a new overhaled HR engine had 313. This was new generations not spec. Standard 370 had 313 gt had around 325 and nismo is 345. You pay for handling and feeling and a more track focused car not power gains. It still jumps to 60 almost .5 quicker than a 370GT
They are great cars but in the US people want over 40k for one with over 30k miles. Hard pass. Much better out there for the money. It was a sweet car but nissan went wild on the money for them and it's really not worth it IMO
😮 that is a lot of money! I think because the world is moving to automatic/dual clutch transmissions & electric power plants, manual performance cars like the 370Z Nismo are becoming very desirable. Thank you for watching! - Drew
@gabedockery4825 low mileage which is nice. I'd grab it if the price is OK for you. The less owners and tine the road the better! You won't need to do much maintenance till about 60k unless you are proactive and replace or upgrade the clutch slave cylinder. Otherwise, Great

Ok, now let’s address the elephant in the room, it’s weight, something you have overlooked in your review. In my opinion, it’s the Achilles heel of this car. At around 1500kg it is just a fat overweight pig, especially as a fun track car, which I quickly dismissed in my selection process.
