Ive had mine for almost one year now, it still puts a smile on my face every time i drive it. Its so raw and mechanical and unless you're a journalist who drives supercars all the time, its plenty fast. Its actually fast enough that you cant really use all the power around town, 2nd gear tops out around 110 km/h and 3rd tops out over 160 unreasonably quickly so you cant really floor it anywhere other than on the highway. 1/4 or 1/2 throttle pulls are more than enough to shove you in your seat and to make your non-car-person passenger ask "what is this thing?" Its also a great introduction to real/useless sports cars that are kinda tricky to drive and way too tail happy in the rain and suck at everything other than bombing down a dry twisty road. You have to focus otherwise it just exposes you. If you're a true car dork/idiot, these are all positives. Oh and it also has a widebody.
I’m 39 and in the last 6 years I’ve owned 2 370Z’s! My first was a black 2012 370Z coupe with orange seats and the sport package. And now i own a white 2017 370Z Nismo coupe with factory Recaro sport seats! IMO this is the best model ever made! * both are manual transmission BTW!
That price Spike for 370z almost for sure due to Nissan confirming that a new Z is coming. People are trying to scoop them up as it will be of the last reasonably affordable NA sports cars. I truly believe it will be a collectable in 5-6 years.
The 350/370Z is my baseline on measuring sports cars. Anything better gets a “+”. Anything less gets a “-“. It is also well balanced. It feels “torquey” enough, but not a monster. Easy to control for a beginner and can be adequate in rain.
I had a 2011 370Z for about a year and traded it for a Cadillac ELR hybrid. I moved into a condo with no place to plug in the Caddy, so I sold it and went back to a 370Z since I really loved the car, but today you would be very hard pressed to find one for less than $15K. Most of them pretty much bottom out at around the $25K mark, and newer models are around the $30K mark and above.
I can vouch for the 370z, I have had mine for 5 years now and every time I have to drive somewhere I just love the experience. I got the Z over other sports cars as all you see here in Australia are, BRZs, Mustangs (drives like a boat and is extremely unreliable), and WRXs. I wanted something that looked different. I have a 2015 Sports 370z (we do not have base option in Australia). I have never had an issue and I drive it hard occasionally. Warning though, it is not mentioned in the video but tires in this car naturally wear very quickly due to the way the suspension works, you'll need new tires roughly every 13,000 miles (21,000kms).
Just bought 2013 370z color white touring sport with automatic transmission. 19k on the odometer for 24k. Car is super clean with one owner clean carfax and no mods bone stock. Its super fun to drive and smiles per gallon are limitless. 😊
I cannot agree with you any more. Just bought one last week, (my first sport car.) I actually have considered the new BRZ or 370z. I picked 370z as the powerful engine. (despite I would not to turbo charge it for now) BTW, MT is so much fun.
I daily drive an all-black 2019 370Z coupe 6M with the sport package. I put some stiffer Hotchkiss antisway bars on the front and rear which improved handling and responsiveness. The car is a blast to drive. Update: I've had a Stillen Gen 3 long-tube cold air intake, a Fast Intentions dual x-pipe cat back exhaust and a dyno tune done with Ecutek software. The car is now putting out about 387 hp at the crank. I've just installed a set of forged magnesium monoblock wheels by Litespeed Racing, for a weight savings of about 9 lbs per wheel over the OEM 19" Rays Engineering sport pkg forged aluminum wheels. Lightweight Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 (240) tires have further reduced the unsprung rotational wheel weight.
I got my '13 Z34 Sport (white) for $17k w/40k miles. Its been incredibly reliable and the only issues I've had was a broken intake vacuum line, and engine oil leak. All fixed within $100 and a chill weekend. Other than that, its been one of the most fun and reliable cars I've ever had. Oh, and insurance is $150/mo. Not the best, but not the worst.
I got my 2010 red Nissan 370Z with 72k miles back in November of 2019 for 15k out the door. It’s an amazing car and I’ve had nothing but absolute fun but had to fix the CSC because 370’s are notorious for the CSC failure at least once or twice in its lifetime. But other than that it’s been the best and I recommend if people like and want a 370, go for it. Nothings holding you back
@Syncreer visibility sucks. it's hard to get in and out. There is absolutely no room ( a milk jug has to be placed forward in the hatch to prevent being crushed). It's short wheel base makes it a bit of a handful of you're tossing it around (actually great under acceleration but if your not confident, there is too much weight forward and it wants to rotate). I had more fun in my late 80s CRX and 2007 RSX-S. Also, I did have a BMW M5 before my Z, so it felt rough and slow in comparison, so maybe some salt with my review. I drive a fiesta SE now 😩
Younger you say... I bought a new 2014 in 2014 at age 58 and will buy another at age 66, I love these things and you got another sub for no swearing... Respect.
I went with a new one a few years ago because it's one of those cars that's probably been beat hard by the previous owner, you just don't know. But even new, they're amazing sports cars for the price.
Aloha! I just purchased a 2016. 370Z Sport Tech. It has custom exhaust with a few other exhaust mods. It is mint condition, pearl white w/ spoiler, wheel fender flares... it IS FUN to drive! And sort of economical compared to other sports cars.
Yup, I'm a Z'er! Owner of a 15 Sport Tech for the past 7 years and it's been a garage queen. Only 48K/mi and still in showroom condition. Magma Red Metallic and chrome Rays with Michelin Pilot 4S tires! Truly a sight-seeing event with those red brake calipers glittering going down the road. Carbon fiber everything inside even the flat bottom wheel by VQ. Blue overlay instruments by ADD-W1 including the 3 pods, Eittar throttle controller, Heads up display, a Vantrue N4 dash cam, and custom color matched shift knob. No mods as everything still factory spec and serviced. Has Navigation, Bose, mirror LED turn signals, heated leather seats, and tinted windows. This Z is strictly a cruiser and one of a kind. Truly a gem gives me no reason to sell. Very reliable as the only thing I had done was a differential O ring seal when the car was under warranty and cost me nothing.
Just got a 2015 370z Nismo Tech and I'm loving it so far! I may even get a 2nd one down the line just to have a low mileage one for personal reason and one to mod as well.
@@treynobles dam...2005 to 2007 350z sells for 1300 to 2300 max, and the mustang 2005 to 2007 2500 to 5000. Edit: I meant those prices are here in my country (Kuwait)
Ive owned this car for 2 years and counting. It is so much fun to drive and I always catch myself looking back at it when I get out of it. Remember, this is the last year they are making this car and replacing it with a new model, this means that the car will keep its value, if not increase! And as far as the cargo space, it is not ideal, I give it one big suitcase and tha'ts about it. On the other hand, I will say I have fit an entire 370z back bumper in my car by taking the passenger seat head off and lowering it all the way back then putting it through the back and into the front seat, so there are ways to think outside the box. Also, my favorite part about this car is the two seats so guess what amigos I can't give all yall a ride, this car is all for me!
yeah I have a '14 7AT; Kinda regretful having the 7AT, but I enjoy it for daily use, but it's never going to be worth putting a turbo kit on or anything like that. The only issues I've had with it are the MAF that needed cleaning once; recently random starting issues, but I think it was due to just sitting too long during hot weather. Still longing for more power, so may do HF cats from FI, and a tune, and just learn to live with it.
@@Reply_if_you_r_homosexual one of the rods broke off I believe making the fuel guage inaccurate, I'm getting a replacement pump from a parts guy this weekend for under half the price of a new one
@William Fajardo the rods broke off cuz of driving through rough roads? Fuel pump is the thing I’m afraid going out so I always make sure I have gas in the tank
@@Reply_if_you_r_homosexual I'm guilty of driving with a low fuel tank, on top of that I'd enter a curved freeway entrance with a bend and the low fuel would sway to to right, one night I had to walk to a gas station to buy a gas can to fuel up
I love my 370z 2010 soft top. I've had it for almost 2 years. Drives great only mod is exhaust. The down side I have found is getting a flat on the big rear wheel, with an empty boot It doesn't fit in the boot lucky I was only 5km from home. apart from that its a great car to drive
Great Review for a great car! Just sold my 2011 Sport Touring last month. Was a lot of fun & very reliable. You really get a lot with this car. Loved the driver focused cockpit.
I’ve owned mine for close to two years now. Just yesterday, I got complimented by a guy driving a Lamborghini Urus. I wouldn’t call the Z fast, but it’s definitely quick. It’s such a joy to drive, and I can’t count how often I get compliments on it. The only thing you should keep in mind is that you’ll have to look into forced induction options if you’re looking to truly wake the Z up, but it’s VERY costly.
I’m 17 and wanted to get the 350z as my first car, but unfortunately, since people my age LOVE the car, insurance is pretty high. Do you think that the 370 would be a better alternative? i haven’t looked much into it myself.
I have owned a 240Z, a 300Z, a 300ZX, a 350Z and now a 370Z. I am an old guy so I am not some fanboy as they say. I will say Ioved the 240Z way back when and the 300ZX on P7s was insane. The 350Z was a nice upgrade to a more modern Z and now my 370Z sport/touring on Michelin super sports is so much fun. I was a little surprised that they had oil cooling/limp mode issues and fuel starving from the gas tank but I guess they worked it out. I have never had those issues but I know many people did have those issues. Alot of bang for your buck. You can tell I am into great tires because it makes a huge difference.
I love my 370Z I got it in 2019 at already 10 years old, it already had a couple mods as far as a couple bolt ons (intakes, Suspension and Exausghst) Great sounding, fun to drive
I've found quite a lot that look to be in good shape on Cargurus/Carfax/etc that are in the 14-17k range at ~100K miles. Realistically if you wanna save even more money you can probably find '09-'10 models for 13-15K from 3rd party / private sellers. The thing is if they're maintained halfway decently, and not poorly modded, these cars are still highly reliable in the 100-200K range. I know 370z owners with 120K+ on it that have had the car since 2009-2010 and have never had an engine issue. Of course, that is IF. You're taking the gamble with these cars that you might get one from some old dude that thought cheapo oil every 30k miles is all it needs.
I owned a BASE 2010 and by far one of the best cars (sports) I have owned and very cheap to take care of. That was 2012 when I sold it and have had a few other fun cars since then but I want one again. ASnything older than 2013 where they fixed the oil heat issue. That is critical. The Akibono Brakes are a must, the base brakes are garbage. I love the center dash with the GPS. That care does not look good with an aftermarket radio. That is what I am looking for and will just spend the rest of the cash as Z1 making it perfect.
I came to get my Z complimented. From my experience it’s a reliable car, once modified with FBO, And a tune it’s a quick little car smoking Snack Packs that are about 60k$. The only issue I have, is how hot the engine runs. It is annoying for spirited driving in SouthernCalifornia. Other than that I haven’t had major issues it’s a fun car, it handles amazing in curvy roads.
Definitely it’s the best sports car for its price and reliability this car is damn reliable I’ve had one and I said that with experience I had to sell it because my cousin ended up crashing it after borrowing the car for his first date night 😂😢 Man I miss that car and I’m surely gonna get another one soon I just love this car ❤️
Emanuel Moreta yes he is luckily the build quailty is Excellent of these cars which is what I love the most about the car it’s surprisingly stable at high speeds amazingly good at drifting and altogether a whole lot of fun to drive
Ideal Media yeah bro I loved my car and I miss it so much it’s been 1.5 months since the accident happened and till this day i miss my car 😢 I used to have a 350z but ended up trading it for the 370z but I’m glad that nobody was seriously injured and my cousin and his girlfriend survived
I think your review has kept the target audience well in view. I've owned mine for 9 years. My recommendation is regardless of the mods, get a professional tune.
@@runner05 oh you have one? Nice car bro I always liked thd design of it I actually have it on my list of cool cars that i whould buy I don't have driving license yet
I have an 18 NISMO tech with M/T (bought new). Mine is the Japanese version (special order/six-month wait) w/carbon fiber suspension components including a green driveshaft (equals 400 pounds lighter and 375HP stock). I dropped 10K into it, and it's now a sleeper 2WD GTR. It looks stock, but still draws a lot of "negative" attention from the crowd. I cannot drive a mile without someone trying to prove how bad their 92 accord is, if you know what I mean. You are correct, the domestics pushing 600+HP will still out run it but they're DOA in five years, where this Z will be around as long as you maintenance it. A point to mention is the Z is NOT a drag car, it's a track car BIG difference.
@@yajneshskandhan2756 just bought a Z about 8 months ago under 70k miles for 16k I have seriously have had 0 problems with it you could buy a solid z rn for like 15k fr
A 2015 NISMO, in white, gray or black so the red accents pop better. You don't even have to mod it because the Beautiful Fairlady Zed comes with the 350 hp NA tune, modest rear spoiler, and awesome looking lite weight performance wheels. I own an 88, (pic'd on my profile), but the 15 NIS is on my Bucket-List!🤤😬 Awesome and detailed review! Thanks 😊 👍🏽💪🏾
I dunno, when I was shopping, I preferred the 2007 350Z I like the body better and they are just under stated. Mine was babied for 12 years and has a Solar orange with white pearl metal flake paint the HR engine in 07 was very nice over the DQ IMO, best most reliable car ive ever had, 140k on it today, still super fun to drive.
Nope. That is not correct at all. The rev matching feature just adjusts the engine speed to match the required transmission input shaft speed so the shift to a new gear is smooth. 2 Step is a different thing entirely.
@@IdealMediaChannel As a 350z Nismo owner the Nismo is. Even Vs a 370z Nismo. but you also pay for it. Ive owned a 350z DE (2006) and a 370z 2010 and my current 2008 350z Nismo. Id take the Nismo any day of the week. Especially after modding. Better brakes is also subjective. They are just as good as the Bembos but the Brembos are significantly lighter. One of the reasons why the 350z Feels more connected. After exhaust mods the VVEL and .2L Displacement only nets 6-10HP more mod for mod. (350z is very exhaust restricted) hell you can put a 3.7L block under the HR heads of the 2007-2008 and gain that 6HP back. A Majority of the "Quickness" the 370z gets is the lower gearing that you can do a straight swap of. (3.7/3.9 vs 3.5 gears) If you were staying stock the 370z is better. If you like tinkering The Nismo 350z IMO is a much better car.
I can speak quite confidently in confirming that the 370Z would be a very reliable car. I had a 2010 G37 coupe and as you mentioned in the vid, the two have the same engine, transmission and share quite a lot of other parts as well. My G had over 250k miles on it and would have kept going no problem if it hadn't been totaled... No, I didn't crash it. Someone just decided to ram into it while it was parked and make it slide 20 feet up onto the sidewalk... Only work it needed other than the normal maintenance work was a new water pump, a single section of new radiator hose, new front struts and new front control arms. It was seriously a bulletproof car and it didn't need ANY of that work until it already had over 200k miles on it.
Also, just to add to the awesomeness of this platform, the VQ37 sounds EPIC!! All I did was get rid of that big quiet suitcase of a muffler and replace it with two straight through design bullet mufflers (I believe they were Magnaflow Magnapacks) and it sounded pretty darn good. Those mufflers kept the raw sound that everyone loves these cars for, but toned it down just enough to be livable as far as drone and not being overly obnoxious to people around you. Cold starts were LOUD!! lol Also one weird attribute my car had was the hotter it was outside, the louder the exhaust would be. For example, on a 60 degree day, once the car is warmed up and running temp, the exhaust was much quieter than on an 80-90 degree day.
Lucid Milkey dude i hope you get it! Im definitely going to save up for a 370z as soon as i can get a job:) unless of course my family gets me a miata/350z
Remember B-Rad Gee, you could get an Infiniti G37. It's pretty much the same car, same engine. Plus tiny back seats should have a positive affect on your insurance. My ideal 370 would be a 2013 and up Nismo, 6 sp manual. Any of the lighter colors, prefer white. Would also not mind having one of the anniversary editions, but 6 sp manual is a must. Not having it is a deal breaker. Prefer stock, unmoded. Exhaust is acceptable.
We bought our 2011 370z with 63,000 miles from the original owner last year and really love the car. We got the roadster because we absolutely wanted the convertible. It has the 6 speed manual and sports package. The brakes on this car are world class! So much fun. YOU HAVE TO GET THE SPORTS PACKAGE!
Yes you can turn off the sport mode haha if anyone’s looking into them, make sure you check for the sport package, really makes the car what it should be and the manual is a given but make sure to be aware of CSC failures! Can leave you stranded and annoyed if you aren’t prepared!
Thanks man. I love this video I always wanted a Z for a couples years never drove one. finally !! I just bought a 2019 nissan 370Z manual with 40,000 miles with a couple moods in ✅
My opinion is a BK2 Genesis I bought a 2014 ultimate with 64k miles in great shape for 13700, and all I did was wheels and tires test pipes and a Solo exhaust. And I have no problems taking on a stock 370z. And I couldn't find a 370z with the same mileage in the same condition anywhere close to 15k
I have one 2017 370Z Nismo black MANUAL Stillen Supercharged Stillen oil cooler Stillen exhaust under bought it new full warranty including mods. 520 engine 420 wheel. Daily driver.
I have the base '17 model 6 spd. Bought it Jan '18. Boy the things racing in my head leaving the dealership. I love the car so much and in 5 years of ownership at 55k on the odometer, its breakin necks more than ever. It has a wing 19" enkei pf05 motordyne catback. Next up is r35 brake conversion then supercharger! Hahah gotta work more then ever hah
I have a 2013 Base model coupe in black with Manual trans. I have added Stillen Gen III cold air induction, ported plenum and upper manifold, DC Sport headers, Fast Intentions High flow Cats, Fast Intentions catback w/18" resonators, professional tune. This all got my RWHP to 348. I am riding on the 18" rims but have 275/35 rear 245/45 front. Michelin Pilot 4S tires. This car is sooo much fun to drive. mileage is just shy of 39K to date. loved the video and I hope to put in a Quaf LSD and Stillen Supercharger as well.
I've been looking at 370 Z's forever, trying to find a decent one for around 15 grand, but most of the ones between 09 and 2015 are over 20 grand, like between $18,000-$30,000 with over 100,000 miles. I have an 04 350Z with only 56,000 miles on it, i bought it 2 years ago with only 52,000 miles on it for only $6,500 cash, privately, which is a hell of a deal, considering it Blue Book's for $9,800. I have adjustable coil overs dropped 2.5 inches on really nice Black 20 inch Wheels. I really want the 370 Nismo because the interior is a lot nicer and some of the cosmetic upgrades, but i think if i just get the exhaust done, and change my stock spoiler to the one that comes on the older 370 Nismo's, the bigger double layered wing and I'll be happy, until the brand new 2023 ''Z'' comes out, which is my dream car. The thing that i don't get is they say that new 2023 Z is supposed to be priced to start between $35 and $40 grand, which is super reasonable for a brand new Sports Car, but I'm very skeptical about that, considering i still see the 2018-2020 370 Z's priced between 35 -45 grand, so i find it hard to believe Nissan will be able to keep their introduction to a whole new, from the ground up, 400 stock horsepower Z for somewhere between 35-40 grand brand new.
I just bough one 2 weeks ago. 2014 370Z with the sport package, 6MT, 32k miles!! And so far I love it! I used to have a 350Z some time ago and loved it, but this one it’s a whole different feeling. I owned over 80 cars in my lifetime (32years old, I buy, (fix) trade and sell cars for profit on the side) and this is the first car I actually want to keep for myself and not sell it. I had couple of legends jdm cars which now I regret not keeping them (FD RX7, 2 MR2 Turbos, MK4 Supra TT, Evo MR) but this 370Z even tho it may not get to that kind of status level as the other ones I mentioned, I still love the feeling of it.
You probably had a 350z DE because a 350z hr and 370z are pretty close in performance. A 350z hr would be a better buy because once both are tuned and full bolt on they are neck and neck but of course the 370z will by 130+ but ill rather pay 3-4k less and be almost as fast as a 370z with a 350z hr but nice buy man those 370zs here in Cali go from 13k-18k
I always liked the z brand. Was thinking about picking up a 370z but my only issue with them is it you want more power you have to go boosted. Kits for these cars cost as much as you paid for the car. Most cars I looked at your looking at 5 to 6k Not for the Z your in the 10k range if not more.
HI HAD A 2010 BLACK 370Z BUT LOST MY JOB SO I HAD TO SELL IT I REGRET I REALLY LIKED THAT CAR IT WAS LIKE DRIVING A GO KART PLENTLY OF POWER .I THOUGHT THAT IT WAS WELL BUILD AND THE JAPANESE PUT A LOT OF THOUGHT INTO THE 370Z
And they're more rare than the 350's...I like that ...I hate seeing my car at Every other traffic light ...I have a blue 2003 track edition and it's not too bad...so many kids have crashed them they are now getting less prolific
My fav are 2010s year model, I have one(Manila) but not the 40th anniversary. IMO 40th anniversary is the best looking car(color wise). Nismo is your best bet for buck. Buy 370z super worth it!!!!

damn i can only imagine how happy you where
That price Spike for 370z almost for sure due to Nissan confirming that a new Z is coming.
I have a 2014 sport with tech package and I love it. It's extremely easy to daily and feels amazing to drive... and it looks beautiful.
Fun fact about the 370Z(Z34). The 370Z took first and third place class finishes at the 2014 Dubai 24 hour race.
The 370 is a great car but you don’t know anything about mustangs. Not unreliable and they drive great.
Just bought 2013 370z color white touring sport with automatic transmission. 19k on the odometer for 24k. Car is super clean with one owner clean carfax and no mods bone stock. Its super fun to drive and smiles per gallon are limitless. 😊
I cannot agree with you any more. Just bought one last week,
(my first sport car.)
I actually have considered the new BRZ or 370z. I picked 370z as the powerful engine. (despite I would not to turbo charge it for now)
BTW, MT is so much fun.

I sold mine after a year. Go with the 86. Less power but way more fun and it's actually something you can live with. Never meet your heroes ;)
Get ready to fill up ur gas tank every 3days
@Syncreer visibility sucks. it's hard to get in and out. There is absolutely no room ( a milk jug has to be placed forward in the hatch to prevent being crushed). It's short wheel base makes it a bit of a handful of you're tossing it around (actually great under acceleration but if your not confident, there is too much weight forward and it wants to rotate). I had more fun in my late 80s CRX and 2007 RSX-S. Also, I did have a BMW M5 before my Z, so it felt rough and slow in comparison, so maybe some salt with my review. I drive a fiesta SE now 😩

Still driving my '13 370Z and the issue I've had with it is the fuel pump, other than its been fun and reliable to own with proper maintenance!
yeah I have a '14 7AT; Kinda regretful having the 7AT, but I enjoy it for daily use, but it's never going to be worth putting a turbo kit on or anything like that. The only issues I've had with it are the MAF that needed cleaning once; recently random starting issues, but I think it was due to just sitting too long during hot weather. Still longing for more power, so may do HF cats from FI, and a tune, and just learn to live with it.
How did the pump go out? Did you run low on gas a lot?

I have the 2018 370z nismo. Its a unicorn here in new zealand. I love it
Imma be honest, I want any of the Z models. From the Fairlady Z to the 370Z.
Its fast enough, the noise and looks is what this car is all about.
Just bought a 2016 with sport pkg, tech pkg. 13k miles. Yeah it cost more than 15k.
I love my 370Z I got it in 2019 at already 10 years old, it already had a couple mods as far as a couple bolt ons (intakes, Suspension and Exausghst) Great sounding, fun to drive
To be honest, if it cost 15,000 the mileage must be extremely high or the dealership tryna scam me 😭
I've found quite a lot that look to be in good shape on Cargurus/Carfax/etc that are in the 14-17k range at ~100K miles.
Loved mine, lots of fun! but that slave cylinder is something to be ready to replace or change with an external after market one

For those who don’t know, the Rev Match can be turned on or off. The cool part about it isn’t the rev matching, it’s the rolling 2step🥵

(3.7/3.9 vs 3.5 gears)
If you were staying stock the 370z is better. If you like tinkering The Nismo 350z IMO is a much better car.
I own a 2011 370z manual with only 34,000km’s on the clock ❤ Love my girl!
Thank you for making me feel great for owning 1
Me too lol I felt good after this
I can speak quite confidently in confirming that the 370Z would be a very reliable car.
That’s funny I just found a convertible 370 z for 4,9k
no wayy u should go 4 it

I didn’t consider the 370z to be a contender. That sports package makes it interesting. Now.....
I have a 370, the synchro rev matching can be turned off it’s super helpful
My fav are 2010s year model, I have one(Manila) but not the 40th anniversary. IMO 40th anniversary is the best looking car(color wise). Nismo is your best bet for buck.
Buy 370z super worth it!!!!
