Me who plays on casual: I'm so good at this game.edit: Thanks for 91 likes I've never had this many, btw I played the game on classic and beat the game on black eagles now:)
I'm not a beginner to the franchise but the trade tip was definitely one I didn't know. Thanks so much for that. I'll start introducing it to my strategy going forward
That trade tip is really nuanced and definitely not a beginner tip. I've been playing this game for a few months and going through maddening this is a super useful tip.
Other tip I think is good: Use combat arts to be sure to hit the enemy and/or kill with 1 attack. Combat arts to increase good hit rate such as 85% to 100% would be a waste of weapon durability, but there is a small chance that the enemy can avoid your attack and hit you..
Umbral Steel can be used to repair the Heroes Relics. If you take care to fully break the shield of every monster you fight, you can get quite a lot of it, allowing you to more freely use Relic Weapons. No skill level is more important than authority. High tier battalions give massive bonuses to your characters. One good example gives +7 phs atk, +6 mag atk, +5 hit, +6 prt, +5 rsl, +10 Cha, and -10 avo. Battalions are powerful.
Simple and to the point, yet wildly helpful! Thank you! That trading tip is particularly useful, and…yeah, fine, ok, I’ll use the super cool shiny hero weapons that there’s only one of each in the game and if they break they’re super expensive to repair…my collector’s anxiety (Pointcrow?!) is going off the charts right now
I am loving this channel! You deserve more views because you are helping us a lot😻 can you please make videos for noobs like me who barely know anything about stats and easier class building (i saw the one you already posted but would love a more in depth one)?
Another thing about canto (move again) is if you trade with a unit, grab something from the convoy, or any other action that you can still act after performing, you can still activate canto even without the ability to do anything else if you press B instead of Wait. It’s rather situational, but still good to know.
Honestly did not know about the trading to re equip items move. Thanks. My tip, if u mess up a skill or movement on the player phase, do not rewind right away. Play out that turn to see what enemies do and then rewind with that new knowledge I mind
@@shimmyjamily No you can rewind as far back as you want. But you only have 3 charges so I assume the commenter is advising people to be conservative and wait to see what the enemy does first. The enemy may miss or your unit may get off a critical counterattack which would save you from having to waste a rewind charge. I tend to soft reset if I mess up early in battle rather than waste a Divine Pulse charge. I find myself only using the rewind function toward the middle or end of battle when I feel confident I'll have plenty of charges to spare. But that's just me 🤷🏼♀️
hint: enemies are really predictable in Fire Emblem, and Three Houses even gives you indicators showing which enemies will target who. So rewinding isn't necessary to know what enemies will do.
this is useful even for vets ive play FE for a while now since GBA days but i didnt know you could switch their equipped weapon by using the trade system
Thank you so much. This is my first strategy game and I just got it on sale for the first time for switch. I really want to get good at this game but it’s kinda overwhelming
Same here never played any FE game but I feel like in my first run I dont want to look up guides and all that to me that makes the game more of a chore to play if I constantly have to look up guides to just be competitive so I'm basically going through blind and making my roster the way I want regardless if it's right or not.
If your Mages and infantry units are behind, use positional combat arts such as Draw Back and Reposition. If you don't have these, remember to master the beginner classes next time you play.
Holy shit I wish that was female Byleth's design. Looks badass. That's one thing Fates got right weirdly, was how similar the female and male avatar designs were.
Actually, there's a lot of series veterans who have had trouble with Three Houses. At a certain point, Fire Emblem started to abandon the traditional battle triangle and core logic for something more flexible, but also harder to fully grasp.
Well if you want to be efficient you should split your party into smaller groups with some tanky units and some weaker units. You can proceed by baiting out the enemy with you hardier units (who should also deal some damage) then you can finish them off on your turn with your weaker units. That way you spread out your exp while also clearing out the map faster. If you travel as one giant group you wont encounter enough enemies to spread across your whole party.
I got almost 400 hours logged but still don't know how to determine enemy turn order. Do you know a way to predict which enemies will attack in what order?
So, I went through the entire golden deer run without using heroes relics except the last map. it felt amazing to be able to 3 shot nemesis with byleth, Claude and hilda.
While I appreciate the strategy of trading mid battle, I honestly wish they had just given us the ability to equip & unequip weapons at any time, including after attacking. I mean they made so many other quality of life improvements in this version, why not that too?
@@theomegaumbreonmemechannel135 Yeah, I suppose that would give a bit too much power, although it would only do so for those creative enough to use the function to it's fullest. A situation where strategic skill gets rewarded. I can live with that. Hell, they needed to make the game harder anyway, as it's ridiculously easy even on the higher difficulty.

More healers are good! Don’t forget that any magic class can use white and black magic. So if you have Dorothea or Linhardt running around as a mage, it might be beneficial to have them spend some time learning faith.
If you went black eagles linhardt and dorothea are good enough for healers, just train their faith every chance. You can also train yourself a bit if you want, you get a unique class that uses magic anyway so it's a good thing to do ahead of time

Use the LZ button to see the enemies' range and bring your tankiest unit just barely into its range. That way you'll aggro the closest enemies towards you without the enemies in the back coming in to swarm you. That way you'll only have to deal with 3 or 4 enemies at a time most of the time
@@Im_Nier Yes they stay dead forever. In my experience so far it hasn't been too bad. Divine pulse makes it pretty easy. I had to use it twice for stupid mistakes. I think eventually I'll play without divine pulse to make it more like older fire emblem games
