The double the bet button was a pretty good indicator that the machine knows that strategy and is programmed to beat it 🤣🤣

Not programmed to beat it, but they know they have more money then you could ever invest so they love the martingale strategy and encourage it
some casinos provide a pamphlet tutorial on the martingale system, alongside basic strategy, they encourage it

Actually it's weird but, I've won a ton on video blackjack. 300 bucks off only 10 bucks in is a pretty decent win.
And anyways I worked at the casino and it was only tip money anyways. And then I hit the royal that night on a 5 dollar bet for 4 grand. Best tip I've ever got...❤
Yeah when I used to play blackjack always needed real cards, & real dealer. A machine is like a slot machine it's luck of the draw

Not counting the ties and the last $21 bet, there were 11 wins and 13 losses. Just a straight $10 bet would have netted only a $20 loss. So yes, thank you Matt and EJ for proving the Martingale system is flawed.
The martingale is only flawed with a max bet, with infinite money and time you always come out ahead

There’s nothing wrong with a very limited martingale one off … I used to double my bet after losing to a dealer’s BJ, but when you look at the math, it’s just superstition. A positive fractional progression is much more safe if you really feel like you need a system to follow.
( bet 10, win, raise by 5 or raise by half… repeat ) this way you’re playing with mostly the casino’s money and not chasing a loss
@jamesharnett3795 nope. Not at all. Not on the video bj ones. They r set to a percentage. But, if u do have a massive bankroll u can possibly do it. But, u really want to take 3k to possibly win a few hundred more. Or take like 1 to 300 and hope uvhit the right time. More often than not I lost. But if ur on a losing streak on it. U r on a losing streak on it. I've seen 20 dollar hands lose to 21 hands 3 times in a row. If u can't win with a 3, 5 or a 6 showing on a 20 dollar hand. U r there on the losing streak side. Best bet is to run.
@jamesharnett3795 no, it's a flawed betting system. They all r unless u have an unlimited bankroll to ride out the bad shoes to get to the good shoes. The best way is to just slow and steady play that I have found. And try to ride it out. Trust me, I've played it a lot. Just back then there wasn't where u could take videos of your play. Or I would have showed it to youn
@MurderMostFowl kind of closer to what I am saying as well. I mean don't go crazy. If u r on a winning or losing streak add a buck or 2 more. Until u lose the bet. Then start at a 5 dollar bet against not a 10. Or even a 2 or 3 dollar bet. And wh3n u see yourself starting to get more wins than losses. Then start going to your 10 dollar or 7 dollar bet. And get back to your 13 dollar bets. If they're on a losing streak the Martindale or Martingdale system is actually the worst one I've ever seen. If I had went with that system. I would have not won 300. I would have lost 1000s.

I never knew there was a term for this method.
I use to play roulette black and red like this... (for fun on phone app etc). I called it a binary-bet for some reason.
It's a slow steady grind to win little at a time, and eventually turns out eating you like you graciously demonstrated. It only works in theory if there is neither a max bet limit nor a limit in your play-dough.

they used to have this program at circa but it changed to something else. I prefer this one, its fun. on multi hand you can hit / double down "out of turn". like 3rd base can hit before first base if you want. i do it sometimes to battle their program

I've used this strategy
With a lot of success. I've started resetting after four losses to limit a big loss. In theory eventually win and get back to even. Capping it at four losses allows that difference to be made up by a side bet on a table game or a few double downs.
But yes maxing out my losses to wait times a night will hurt the return on investment.
It's a great strategy if you're just blackjack though, especially at the bar and just throw 20 bucks in the machine. You're more than likely keep the 20 bucks and get free drink.

Its funny that before i ever heard of this concept, i came up with it on my own being a young blackjack player and being good with numbers. Then i looked into my concept more and realized that this has been around for decades, i just never heard of it. And being a math person, yes I realized how quickly things can go south for you, all just simply to win back your original bet.

This system works only if you start at 1c bets and you have at least a 10k bankroll....I farmed online for years doing this and making thousands of dollars, problem is I was only making like $3/hr....
When you play at the casino use the reverse martingale system where you bet minimum every hand the dealer wins but increase your bet by 1 unit every time you win....this helps you develop a streak that you are betting on and you should never bet against a streak!!

I used to practice counting cards dealing to myself. Kept track of my wins and losses. Once lost 17 straight games. It seems impossible, but even losing 10 straight will break you.
