Thanks for the great tips! I just tried my first status match in Philly at the Live casino a few months ago... apparently because it was after midnight I was considered to have '3 visits' to the casino (and it had to be status matched in the first '2 visits') lesson learned. 1) I need to start gambling earlier in the night. 2) I need to carry around every single rewards card with me at all times. I now have an extra wallet just for gambling cards! 😂

Same here, visited Vegas twice in '18 and '19 but now I hear everything is insanely expensive, they nickel and dime for everything, resort fees are outta control....glad I went when I did. Now they don't value your patronage at all
I have no plans to go either but I enjoy the videos. Not to say I would never go if I had the opportunity but the videos are interesting to watch. It's no different than watching videos of any other part of the world. I watch Mexican Cartel vids but I don't plan on joining one.
I have had the Station Casino Credit Card for years. Great offers with lower room rates and like you said immediate Platinum statues, Best part its a no fee CC.
Like your videos and especially enjoy your enunciation of the letter T. As a former high roller who frequently stayed at The Mansion at MGM I can guarantee you that high rollers pretty much get whatever they want and don't care about the card. Or parking.
For anyone unfamiliar with the terminology, "coin-in" is how much you need actually spin through a slot machine, regardless of payback. If you do a $1 spin, that's $1 of coin-in, regardless if you win $0 or $1 million. Typically, Vegas slots have roughly 80% return to the player (some of the lowest in the country) on the low-stakes stuff, meaning every time you wager $1, you are expected to have $0.80 returned to you, losing you $0.20. This means that every time he mentions "coin-in", you can divide it by 5 to figure out how much it would cost you on average at low stakes, and by about 10 if you're playing in a high limit room. Some casinos outside of Vegas offer very high returns between 95-98%, but Vegas slots are incredibly tight.
google the casino company annual report, it often gives the slot hold. I have to differ with you. Many of the Strip casinos hold 95 cents (5% house favor) of every dollar you cycle through. Dice table has about 1% house advantage, roulette about 5%....So why do you lose more than that at the dice table? Because you keep cycling money through over and over. So in the end, at the dice table, casino statistics show that if you buy in for 1000, you walk away from the table with 750
Caesars and some of the other properties my offer 3x, 5x, 15x or more Tier Credit Multipliers during certain parts of the year. This could reduce the amount of "coin-in" that Jacob referred to with each card. For example, 3x to 15x Tier Credit Multiplier at my local Caesars property Monday, Jan 15th 2024. If I get the 15x, I may sit and play some but already Elite for 2024. May wait and dig into the FoundersCard for 2025 and beyond. Also in Feb 11, 2024 same local Caesars casinos are offering 3x - 7x Tier Credit Multiplier. Always seems to happen in Jan and Feb - early in the year when they want to pull people in to start earning for 2025. There's also Reward Credit Multipliers which can be converted to FreePlay ( / 100 / 2 = FreePlay). Example here, local Horseshoe (Iowa), has up to 24x Reward Credit Multiplier on Tuesdays and Thursdays in January (2024). During Christmas, I received 25x Reward Credit Multiplier and after a weekend of hitting the slots, over $200 in Free Play. MGM (mLife) on the other hand will offer 10-30% more points a couple of times of year, but unless you're local, timing isn't always perfect as I may have already been there on a trip or scheduled after the offer. Last years change (2023) in the mLife makes it almost impossible to maintain Platinum status even with using the MGM CC (defaults to Gold). Venetian is probably the easiest to get to a platinum or Elite level without shelling out $10k. Room offers and many times $125-$200 in Free Play with each visit (after hitting Elite of course). BTW... never seen 80% return any time or any year that I have been going to Vegas. Always in the hole and play pennies to high limit. Maybe just unlucky. If you can stop after the first 20-60 mins, you may easily see the 80-90% return. ;-)

So besides that first earning period… how do you maintain all those levels for each rewards club year after year? You answered for Caesar’s, but what about the others? I don’t think the do continuous tier matching??
You don’t. Unless you get the points needed you will go back to the lowest level afterwards. I matched my mgm platinum to caesars diamond and the following year I dropped to their lowest level and could not match again. I did see in this video about the founders card being an option but 495-595 isn’t worth it to me.

Do you have a video of all the CET properties of just their suites?? I’m a seven star and am getting kinda tired of Ceasrs Palace. I did Paris last month. It was nice and clean but I didn’t like their casino. Would love to see suites with separate bedroom from the other areas or even a two bedroom suites. I’ve heard that the suites at Planet Hollywood are huge. Any chance we can get that type of video! Please and thank you.
Thanks Jacob for posting this video. I got my Diamond through Founders Card also. I'll have to check and see if Grand Sierra in Reno, a sister casino to Sahara will status match next time I'm in Reno. Learning new tips and tricks from your videos, always enjoy them..
Both Fountaine Bleu and Resorts World do matching, but there is a caveat. Not all the benefits are available at first attaining the card. For example, the airfare reimbursement is not available until you earn the status.
I got my Caesar's Diamond status match differently via the hotel route. I first status matched my Marriott Platinum status to Wyndham. Then I status matched my Wyndham to Caesars. I think at the time which was a few years ago, Caesar's also gave me $200 to spend on property on dinner.
Great video! I'm not from Vegas, but this seems like it's more for the locals. I'd like to ask how you keep the status' beyoned the 6-12 month initial time frame?
A follow-up video would be good. You said, after you sign up for all these cards you should be getting offers in your email. What kind of offers? Free play, how much? Food comps? Hotel rooms? Just curious about the rewards/ benefits of status matching.
The unity upgrade to Legends for locals is news to me. I'm always looking for free places to park (I so totally hate the "new" Vegas where they gouge everyone for everything). Does the status carry on year after year, or do you have to earn Legend in subsequent years, 'cause I ain't gonna do that.

How long ago was this filmed? Because at one point there’s a sign in the background for the Bat Out of Hell musical…and that closed in January 2023, IIRC.
Excellent video Jacob. Stations casino discontinued the agreement with the credit card company earlier this year as you know. Do any other casinos offer credit card where you can then match your status?
Hey Jacob, thank you for this video! Just as a heads up when I tried to Diamond match to MGM in late October, they advised they will only match Diamond Elite or higher to MGM. Last year they matched my Diamond to Gold, so downgrade this year :(
Another tip: active duty military and veterans can get Platinum at the Wynn and Caesars perpetually. MGM has a military card that gets you to Pearl, but it might be worth trying to use the Platinum or higher status of another casino to see if you can get a higher status match.
I’m going to Vegas for the NRL Rugby on 2nd March ~ I may spend my free day doing this! I saw you were driving between casinos but am I correct in guessing it’s doable by bus / monorail?
Jacob, haven't been to a Station (I don't think), but I have definitely received cards from pretty much all of the other casinos. Is there a way now to get a credit card from the Palace Station and do the same kind of thing, increasing my tier level at other casinos, even though I already have cards there?
great tips Jacob. I was 12 points to diamond from platinum and contacted the host and they couldn't give it to me, Ceasar sucks :). Your tips would come in very handy :)
Do these other places status match each other, or just with Caesar's? If they match each other, you could string this out for a while...get the Station card, go to Caesar's...a few weeks before your Caesar's card expires, match ot somewhere else...before that one expires, match it somewhere else...keep going through the rotation... Seems like a good way to extend your benefits and spread out your Vegas experiences...
Rent being only 1,500 a month in Las Vegas is unbelievable. In Oregon they raised mine to 1,800 with 200 more in utilities. If I tried to apply for this apartment now I'd need a 68k a year salary to even get a 700 sq ft unit. It also doesn't help it's impossible to find a job that pays over 30k here. I had no idea Vegas in comparison was so cheap. Just blows my mind.
The point is dont use the cards just open them and use the points amd if you o lybuse 20 percent of the cars your ok you can put caps on the cards to help keep you responsible
Check your credit score it had to have taken a hit with all those new credit cards. I have the Ceaser Credit card and have for years. They are building a Ceaser in Danville VA an hour form me I am going to go there and see if I can up grad there. Thanks for the information.
I stayed at palace station for 8 days last year. I was able to get close to 194k status credits which is halfway to Chairman status (their highest status) and I only go once a year.
We always stay at the Bingo Palace!, now it’s perfectly renovated. How is the crime in Vegas ? Once I the casino I’m sure safe but parking lot? Please do a crime in Vegas for tourist update. Thank you.
@jacobslifeinVegas when I do status. match on Caesars, do I get the card and benefits instantly? For some reason I thought I needed to wait. Same question for MGM
what sort of credit score did you need for the entry credit card? So the strat is take the easiest route to the platinum status of one and then just goto them all and status match
Starting at an even higher tier is probably even better. I think you need to actually play to do that. However, the savvy gambler can find ways to get a lot of coin in and offer little to no edge to the house. This will likely require going off the strip to locals casinos such as Boyd, Stations or maybe even True Rewards. You do have to fade the variance, so it is not risk free, but it is worth investigating to see if higher tier matches can be found and what they are worth. I can say that the Mirage/Hard Rock tier match is much better if you can come in above Legend.
Vegas is great fun. Especially if you get a lap dance but you can will $ buying a lotto ticket at the vegas 7/11 and all store locations have free parking

Hi Jacob. Thank you for such a great informative video. I watch your videos regularly and your channel is one of the best. I think you didn't mention what happens after any of these cards expire. If I tried to apply for this apartment now I'd need a 68k a year salary to even get a 700 sq ft unit. It also doesn't help it's impossible to find a job that pays over 30k here. I had no idea Vegas in comparison was so cheap. Just blows my mind.
Yeah and that’s probably $1500 for a 1 bedroom too. Which over here in Cali it’s like $2300 for a 1 bed.
The point is dont use the cards just open them and use the points amd if you o lybuse 20 percent of the cars your ok you can put caps on the cards to help keep you responsible
Would the credit card method work with international tourists? I’m from UK and not sure if I’d get approved for the credit card
Great information . Thanks Jacob
De nada!
Do you have to be a us citizen to apply for these cards? Or can international vacationers apply?
This was so cool, thanks! Trivial question....Why do the casinos want double or more coin in for video poker points??
Its because video poker has such a high payback rate
This was a great video. I love this kind of video. Keep these coming.
Resorts World shows dining credit with an asterisk, do you get the dining credit with the status match or do you have to earn the actual points?
Thorough job bro good work jacob
Dam this is some good info. Because I always wondered how I could get upgrade for Caesar card. Interesting! Thank you Brother
Were you able to get Caesars Diamond status with the regular Founderscard membership or do you need to upgrade to Elite?
Can anything be done as a visitor from abroad. England?
Dol you get any status as poker player? or do I loose the status after 6monthg if I only play poker.

Does this work, and make sense to do as an tourist for 3 weeks? I’m from Norway
Is there any current credit card deal that's comparable to this?
Good stuff my friend. Thanks.
Can you do tier matching from a casino outside of Vegas? I have the highest card at my local casino in California
Very well done. Thanks for sharing.
Good one J!! Thanks, gonna see if I can upgrade my cards!
Hi Jacob. Thank you for such a great informative video. I watch your videos regularly and your channel is one of the best. I think you didn't mention what happens after any of these cards expire. What happens to the status after expiration, and is there a way to maintain the status after expiration? How can we renew?
Good Luck maintaining the new status levels in the future 🤞 🤑 ...short term perks look pretty good.
Great tip Jacob , thanks as always.
Jacob I did this w ceasars. Got the CC. Got a free cruise from ceasars
