@lotto-goblin perfect strategy is only made to get u as close to even to the house as possible. U gain an actual edge when u learn the hi-low system and keep the count. The true count will determine what u bet based off of your bet spread. U will also give yourself a higher edge over the house by learning the illustrious 18 deviations chart. When u account all this in and can count perfectly 99.9% of the time ( in 4 plus decks being off 1 on your count is not a death sentence but 2 off is) u give yourself roughly a 4% edge on the house. It's the only game in a casino outside of poker where you can gain an edge in the house. All casinos are in the business of making money. They are not going to have games where any joe shmo can come in and take them on the regular

GREAT video... You can memorize the perfect strategy for Blackjack... However, you can go to your local casino and still get a right pasting
Just knowing the best technique does NOT guarantee you will win .. Blackjack can be a very volatile game. Sometimes you can get a very long run of getting bad cards...
I now have a safe betting technique... If I lose THREE games off the belt...I walk away and find another table... It is a very smart thing to do..
NEVER chase lost money either..It can turn a small loss into a nightmare.

Idk what 6 deck shoe you’ll double a 11 against a ace but yeah
I learned basic strategy in one week had and now have it memorized for 6 to 8 decks. Found and app that trains and helped me memorize it. I now just play $5 tables with 6 to 8 decks and use basic strategy of course and I bet with the 212 strategy. Usually walk away with a little bit always fun time. Definitely missing casinos having withdrawals here can't wait for everything to reopen. Thanks for the videos guys

Happy birthday! Last month I became the same age as Jack Benny for 35 years now.
I'm still learning I appreciate the videos sometimes I do well sometimes I do bad. I like to hold on 13 I average up when I do that I win enough to where I make money. I'm just now learning when to not to hit.
For me, I play basic strategy and double when I can. But if the shoe isn't hot, I'm not going to win, no matter what. I've found that by starting out with small bets and not staying at a losing table for long helps. Recognizing a win streak and then betting big helps. But get out as soon as it turns cold. I've had a hot streak last up to three shoes. That gives you time to make money. Like the song says, "Know when to walk away."

Here in the UK, my local casino does free splits and doubles on non-pictures. It's alot of fun - the other day I saw about 5 free splits/doubles all in one hand, it was mad.
One day I got a split on two aces. It was pretty high stakes and I was pretty new to blackjack and my pockets weren’t very deep. Both of the A’s paired with a picture card so I was elated - two blackjacks! Or, so I thought. The dealer had a ten and uncovered a blackjack - ‘damn it’ I thought, that’s a ‘push’ on a large pot. Anytime a blackjack game offers you plays like this they are taking something bigger away from you, game is most likely horrifically bad edge wise for the casino. If you're a 'fun' player have at it but you're getting screwed somewhere else either on blackjack pay or what you can resplit and double after.

No frills basic strategy blackjack is decent…I’ve enjoyed watching and gained a few pointers.
Walk away when the dealer is hot, play when the dealer is cold. Don't take a hit if you can bust, no matter what. I played basic strategy for years, generally making a few bucks here and there. Not taking a hit if I can bust was a dramatic increase in winnings.

I counted and you had a running 7 before you got AA and split getting two blackjacks if you'd raised your bet 10x 20x multiplier it would have paid off
If you raise your bet 20x out of nowhere you're going to get backed off the game pretty much immediately. You're literally talking about going from $10 to $200 dude.

More than half the time when I get a 12 and hit I bust. It's to a point where I can call it. I started holding with 12s and letting dealer bust with the 10 I usually would get and it works most of the time.
This is a for sure way to lose alot of money and go broke!
There’s something psychological about 12 that I hate. I feel like I bust all the time too. The reality is that we don’t - and if you stand you’re more like to lose to a higher hand anyway. Some people genuinely don’t realise that that’s where the dealers edge comes from - the fact that you have to go first and can potentially bust.

12 is the most dangerous hand in Blackjack. I’m a banker with one of the California Cardrooms, and the number of times I’ve seen people bust after hitting on 12 is insane.

Having a great third baseman helps. How many times have you seen that last person hit with 16, and the dealer has a 6 showing. Player busts, the dealer would have bust with his 16, then pulls a 4 or a 5 to beat everyone. I get up from the table and look for a third base seat.
Had that happen at third base . . . player hit on 13 when dealer had a 16 . . . he took the dealers 10, and dealer got a 2, beating my 17. Had $300 chips in play 😱. Was playing at The Wild, Wild West . . . in Atlantic City. (Casino's now closed - btwn Ballys & Ceasars)

Here’s my question. Ik the book says to hit on 16. But why. Like why the hell would you hit on it? You have a chance of getting a 6,7,8,9,10,J,Q,K to bust and only a A,2,3,4,5 to be good. The odds are against you. Why wouldn’t you stay or at least surrender. I will never truly understand how it makes sense to anyone to hit.
Does dealer get one extra point for example is he has 20 does he have a extra point that bumps it up to 21??

Question? Obviously I’m going to stick the the perfect hit, stay, double down strategy. But I notice everytime you win, your upping the money on the hand that has won each time. What would you recommend in terms of tournament play for bet sizes? Because in tournament play you not just against the dealer but are against the field with the top money count by the end of the round on each table. Is there a video you could do for tournament play specifically?
look up blackjack martingale technique, it's basically you double your money everytime you lose and theorically the dealer should break at some point. And when you win you go back to the smallest bet possible

My strategy is always "don't let greed and optimism cloud judgement" because being on a roll is dangerous, because confidence doesn't change the order of the cards but it will make you bet more than you should. And being down is dangerous because desperation leads to foolish decisions.
Never get into that stage where you are looking at the ceiling bargaining with God for a good hand to save you. And don't get sloppy drunk!! Lol
I play a lot of HoldEm'... not in the casino, just for fun w friends, $50 buy in games, nothing big. But emotions, distractions and alcohol have lost me more hands than poor playing or the luck of others.

My system that has helped me get steady $100 each time. Forgot counting cards. That’s just insane trying to to do. But a simple estimate 9-Ace and 2-8. Overall if there’s and even amount in the difference between the two. Again “estimate” that would be 0. A lot of high cards in all hands +1 and a lot of low cards -1. Don’t try to count you’ll lose track for the general player. I play 5 until -2 then I go up to $20 bet. Do splits and double down on all hands as needed.
You play $10 from -2 to 5 total count (not true count), then when it's -3 or more or 6 or more you up the bet to $20?

That's how I play! Every play is played perfectly and results in the best odds for a win. Yes sometimes I stand on a 16 or 15 against a dealers ten, but the play at certain times in the game has the best odds for a win. And the result is many times a plus for the player! It's the only way you can win! 😂

I just go with my natural instinct of when and when not to hit. One thing I will say is try to find a table with no people. Just you and dealer. I win more frequent when by myself at a table. And I can never seem to win much when at a full table.

There will always be debate about Basic Strategy because it was designed ONLY for the first hand of the shoe. It does not take into account the cards that have been played. Therefore, there is no "perfect" strategy, you have to design your own strategy that works for you as you play the shoe and how much you wager on the hand.

If I am playing one hand and lose two hands, in a row, I play two hands for one hand, then back to one.
If I'm playing two hands and lose two, I switch to one.
Do not get me wrong, basic strategy is the way to go. However, it does change even with minor insights into the composition of the deck(s). This insight can be as minor as a string of low cards coming out, to a highly accurate hi-low count. to a complete (relatively impossible) memorization of all the cards played. I have played blackjack for over 50 years and can tell you just a general observation of what cards that are coming out alters if I am going to hit those close calls such as 12's and 13's against a dealer's 12/13 potential. That general observation is even more important when considering double-downs against dealer non-bust cards.
I have always considered it a great complement to want to have a beer with somebody. I would have a beer with you guys any day.
You most definitely see things for what they are. There will always be deviations when the deck is rich. But for those who don’t count but are smart enough to just pay attention there will still be moves that differ from basic strategy when we see very specific patterns. A 12 against D 2-3 is most definitely subjective if the last 2-3 hands have not produced any face cards over a full table. They’re rare occasions, but they do exist.
There are no patterns. It’s all in your head.

no mater what the last 2-3 hands produced, its the over all total
running count meaning if a bunch of faces did or did not come out
doesnt mean nothing; only thing that maters is what the count is
because before those faces it could have been high or low
naw... because maybe it is VERY negative, you could be at negative -30 for example and 10-20 small cards come out and you are still negative -10 you raising your bet at -10? or vica versa if u want to look at it as very positive like +30 etc
My system is I start with 10 if I lose I put 20 and if lose again I put 30 so I go up by 10 each time so I only lose if I don’t win any rounds. And then if I win on my 20 or 30 bet I go back to 10$
You still lose if you win a later hand tho ? If you bet 10 and lose, then 20 and lose, then 30 and lose, then 40 and win, you've won 40 and lost 60 ...

Excellent video content! Forgive me for chiming in, I would love your thoughts. Have you thought about - Konenjamin Penrooklyn Solution (search on google)? It is a good one of a kind guide for finding your lucky day to cleverly win the lottery without the normal expense. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my m8 finally got excellent results with it.

I use a system but what i use is determined by a card count, all different % of money out. and a counting system of my own. i usually win more then lose . once even had a 3 week winning streak. unfortunately i only play with money i would go out to eat with.. $80 to $200. because no matter how good i think i am.. casino usually always sneak a win when i least expect it. What do You all say about card counting?
Card-counting, running count to true count conversion, strategy deviations, and proper bet spreads, are the only way to have an advantage over the house. So.. YES to card counting.

Okay, I was curious, I counted that you played just over 30 hands. If you were playing Spanish 21, at $50 per seat side bets (match dealer first card and second card against your initial two cards), your initial investment would have been $1,500 per playing seat (left side / right side of screen) for 30 hands. Your left seat hand would have been a total (for side bets) negative -300 dollars, but your right hand would have been up $125 dollars (you never matched/suited against 10's and if you did, I wouldn't have counted them). Interesting that I noticed that your left seat side bets at one time won you $400, 2 times $325 and 2 times $75, yet you were still down $300 from your initial $1,500 investment in side bets, in the end :( While your right seat side bet was crazy good, 4 times you won $75 and another 2 times won $150, and 3 times won $325, yet, in the end only was up $75 on all its side bets. AND your total winning versus the initial $3,000 side bets, you'd be down negative -$225, yet with your winning of $60 from your initial $300 you used to actually play blackjack, you would have been down a total of negative -$165 Ahahahahahahahah Crazy. PS pay outs for Match the Dealer varies by number of decks, but expect 3 to 1 for match, 13 to 1 for match suited.
I"ve never played Spanish 21...unsure about the strategy for that versus regular BJ games.... do you know it?
@bjplayertravels2777 Sorry for long response. Mmm, it's a bit different, depending on number of decks played, with no 10's, the odds of getting a blackjack is much lower. If you and dealer get a 21 in any way, you win. Hitting on a 15 isn't as scary because A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 are better odds than getting a 7, 8, J, Q, K (so hitting on 13 or a 14 is favorable). The real money maker for the house are side bets. Odds are 1 in 4 match dealer, else 1 in 23 suite match dealer with payouts of 3 to 1, else 13 to 1 (example $25 = $75, else $25 = $325), some nights you get no suite match, some nights you get several...the big bonus for community pot side bets is double suited match the dealer worth around $3,000 for a 1 dollar bet, or $7,000 for a $5 bet, which I've won a couple of times, but odds are high, like really high, yet every week there could be a winner or two. I read the financials of the card room place I go, it's small, 12 tables of various games + 20 bowling lanes + bar + restaurant + pull tabs...that little casino card room profits $5 million a year, more than the other services combined ($4 million profit) every year. If $5 million profit a year for 12 tables = how much money flows through therr must be amazingly high, I suspect $20k a day, 365.

Unfortunately the only way to have the edge over the casino in Blackjack is if you were to count cards. The basic strategy he demonstrates in the video gives you the edge over someone that doesn’t know it, but only gives you like another 1% chance of winning over the house.

not usually. not unless you split a hand then you can have 2 doubles in total with one on each hand. not all casino's allow doubling though.
When you double, are you only allowed to hit once?
@@aFeym double is the only hit yes. thats why it is usually smart to double a 10 or 11 for the chance of getting 21. there is no more hits after a double but you can only double when you have only 2 cards in a hand. unless split then each card becomes its own "hand" and therefore you can only double once with only 2 cards in each hand.
Some games allow DAS (Double After Split), and others don't. If you look at the Wizard of Odds strategy tables, it's one of the variables that changes the Basic Strategy for a particular combination of BJ rules. Check it out here: wizardofodds.com/games/blackjack/strategy/calculator/

Whatever you do in long run you gonna loose... This is edge that casinos has.. One thing you could do.. Decide max loss and leave when you win 1 big bet.

Basic strategy is based on tons of probabilities and simulations of hands. Of the hands you mentioned the most questionable is the 13 vs. 2. Neither standing nor hitting is going to yield a high probability of a win, and for card counters, you would hit a 13 vs 2 at a true -1 or lower. But for a basic strategy player, that 12 will bust often enough to make standing the biggest winner play over 10,000 hands versus hitting.

My system is to add one unit after each win.
I've done this a few times I call it reverse martingale or simply stacking on wins, it worked pretty big for me once I was betting $15 mins with $300 buyin eventually cashed out for $3,000. But this was years ago and it's failed on me many times before as well.
