- A demonstration of how slow/fast (depending on your perception) the paddle shifters will shift the 8 speed automatic torque converter transmission on the 2015 Lexus RC F. The RC F is the high performance model of the RC lineup with a 5.0L V8 engine producing 467 hp and 389 lb ft torque.
The transmission behaves much quicker in Sport + mode as opposed to normal mode. When you are lazy with the throttle, the transmission is equally lazy. When you drive it hard, the transmission shifts quickly in Sport + mode.
Perfect video, I really wish there were more of these.
Exactly what i was looking for. Thanks for the video!
I get jealous on how you guys on TH-cam keep ur Lexus so clean. Alot of bitch ass people try their best to cause some kind of damage to my Lexus IS. Luckily I have good insurance and I know a really good body shop
She's a beauty
Nice video man, this is a great video for curious buyers. Seems to shift much faster in the sport modes which is great!
This is ASMR
This car would be perfect with some weight reduction and a dual clutch transmission
150lbs off...add 25hp.. shorten the first 4 gears...done 🌟
Basically I'm agreeing with you lol
Should’ve done the same shift knob for the lc500. Lc500 only have the paddle shifter which is a bit frustrating for me since I’m used to shifting from the knob on my F80 M3
Can’t really tell in the audio of the video, but when your in manual shift mode and at higher RPMs does it make a whine noise? Doesn’t do it in regular/automatic mode. But when I’m in Sport+ and manual shifting at high RPMs I can hear it.
Just ur gears ringing out perfectly normal just upshift a little earlier should be a little better
Very nice. Sounds good.
I have a 2015 rcf fully maxed out and i still dont fully understand what they mean when they say it locks from gears 2 to 8?
Mehdi Elkhatib The torque converter locks up so there is no slippage between the engine and transmission.
Let say you down shift on 4 and how long it’ll stay in 4
In this video th-cam.com/video/ep1OpsEsLWE/w-d-xo.html at 2:05 it is said, that the shift from 8th to 3rd gear at 50mph ist about 5 slow seconds...is this true?! I wouldn't believe this!
Do you need to release the gas paddle while swtching each gear everytime ? , pls reply.
he shift the gear like a little girl ja ja
The way you talk shatters the illusion that people who drive these and accelerate loudly are jerks. Thanks for this demo
Japanese M3
Do you need to release the gas paddle while switching each gear everytime?
Ryan Anh no you dont have to
Only when doenshifting
Nice!
I also have 8 speed in my is 350F sport the shifts are just as slow
beautiful interiors !
2 questions:
1) do u release your foot from the accelerator while shifting ? (we do that in a fully manual stick shift car, while engaging the clutch)
2) when in manual mode in this car, does the transmission automatically downshift at lower speeds ? or will the car break down due to a high gear at low speed.
Abhishek Parulekar 1) no need to ;)
2) the car just take safety precautions and automatically slow down. Some cities have regulations on this
The 8 speed in hyundai/genesis/Kia shifts a LITTLE faster than the RCF no matter how hard or soft you push the car👌 This car needs a TCU tune BADLY!💯👎💩
The transmission in the RCF is the first 8 speed in the world and fastest shifting when it came out in 2007. No shit its gonna be slower than newer ones, but I can bet you at high rpm/redline shifts the AA80E is faster than the Hyundai/Kia.
You cant beat Japan ever sorry keep trying.
hyundai/genesis/Kia??? Lol don’t even try to compare those crap machines to a Lexus!!
what is your radar dectector ?
duy tran IT'S DECTECTING DECEPTICONS AHEAD!😆
We don't need 90 demonstrations of the same thing
Spicy Milk it's a demo it's kinda what it's about
