Good looks, but not over the top, decent power and handling, but not harsh or out of control. It seems more of a GT type car, something you could live with daily and be comfortable. And honestly they are relatively cheap because no one bought them, so win win.

This car is immaculate and perfect for driving experience in normal conditions, and then it's got extra oomph on top of that. Great on the track and off it, and will last longer than any track car.

i'd take this over a GT Mustang. I have only seen 3 of these in real life. I see Mustangs all the time. It may not be as fast as the Ford or V8 Camaro but it will be a lot more comfy and have more safety features which will be handy with that 400+ horsepower. I’ve tracked many cars over the years, and I currently own a Supra Launch Edition. The RC-F is hands down the best track day car I’ve ever owned. Drive it to the track in comfort, thrash it for the day, and drive it home knowing it is going to get you there. It is the most under rated vehicle of my lifetime. If anyone knows PIR, 149mph down the front straight, and it would pull away from most track prepped race day cars in the corners. The car is fantastic to anyone who spends the time getting to know it.

Back when the RC-F launched, I went to a RC-F driving event at Sonoma speedway. Drove the RC-F for three controlled laps. Slow shifter, heavy feeling and all the other points Doug mentioned. Then we were given a choice to get a power lap as a passenger with a skilled driver or to drive the M4 with DCT. I chose to drive the M4. What a difference!! The M4 felt faster, more nimble and way better steering feel. I left the event wanting an M4 and told the event staff the brutal truth of how much better the M4 really was at the track.

From a graphic design perspective Lexus uses their “L” logo in different places on their car they are just turned at different angles or backwards. Like the little silver piece at the rear of the side window. The outer edges of the front grill that everyone seems to have an issue about. The turn signal. Lexus just turns their “L” in hidden different angles. They have a good graphic design taste in their vehicles
Fast forward to 2022 a bmw m4 can be had for 35k with very high maintenance and repair costs, the rcf still in mid to upper 40’s and overall very reliable with very little issues.
As always bashing anything that Lexus makes and drools over the junk which are Euro cars that go broke and also make the owner go broke as well. RC F is a phenomenal machine, the fact that the engine is made by Yamaha who also designed the LFA V10 plus Lexus uses this in a real GT3 RC F is testament to the Track born DNA of this. Yea AMG wins but the consumer model is just lease mobile. Forget RC F from 2015 which is still owned by many but the IS F from over a decade ago still running, while the AMG V8s are dead and they stay dead forever.
My 2015 RCF hasn’t had a single issue, only got 73k miles but the maintenance is low and the build quality is excellent. Not a single creak or rattle and drives smooth
Bro butchered this review. If you actually stepped foot in and owned this vehicle (I have 3 years) it is a beautiful machine. It pulls like crazy, handles like no other it is so smooth and flowy. It sounds good and can get going pretty quickly. The interior is immaculate and nothing but quality.

I prefer the GS F by a large margin, simply cause I think it's much nicer looking exterior wise. These 5.0 engines are so nice though, and they do run forever. My brother was a Lexus dealer and found mostly middle to senior wanted them for the comfort and ease of use. Safety was also a issue well covered. When the younger generation found out the reliablity decided to up the anti and boost the power to weight ratio. Choice between a Beamer, Lexus or Merc. Give me a Lexus for the same price. Its a car you drive and have fun, not drive and breaks down constantly. Peace

As always bashing anything that Lexus makes and drools over the junk which are Euro cars that go broke and also make the owner go broke as well. RC F is a phenomenal machine, the fact that the engine is made by Yamaha who also designed the LFA V10 plus Lexus uses this in a real GT3 RC F is testament to the Track born DNA of this. Yea AMG wins but the consumer model is just lease mobile. Forget RC F from 2015 which is still owned by many but the IS F from over a decade ago still running, while the AMG V8s are dead and they stay dead forever.
My 2015 RCF hasn’t had a single issue, only got 73k miles but the maintenance is low and the build quality is excellent. Not a single creak or rattle and drives smooth

Bro butchered this review. If you actually stepped foot in and owned this vehicle (I have 3 years) it is a beautiful machine. It pulls like crazy, handles like no other it is so smooth and flowy. It sounds good and can get going pretty quickly. The interior is immaculate and nothing but quality.

I work at a Lexus dealer here in northern California, and yeah honestly even working at a dealer I don't see a ton of these. I prefer the GS F by a large margin, simply cause I think it's much nicer looking exterior wise. These 5.0 engines are so nice though, and they do run forever.

Choice between a Beamer, Lexus or Merc. Give me a Lexus for the same price.
Its a car you drive and have fun, not drive and breaks down constantly.

True story we had a 16 year old Lexus 350 Mid sized SUV and it sold faster than you can say sold. We had one very small issue in those 16 years with over 350 km to boot
