SWEET! Looks like you guys had a great day! We went yesterday (12/12). The first spot I checked had Hybrids! First two fish in the boat were deadsticking! I was fishing deadstick in one hand "bait" in the other. My buddy who was slabbin' had stopped and dropped bait! Boom! He was hooked up! Almost instantly I was too! Deadsticking went dead once we dropped the bait down! So we hammered them for 2.5 hours and the only time we moved the boat was when the guy fishing on the bow, accidentally kicked the trolling motor connector. But once we were spot licked back on my numbers it was on again! We had 5 channel cats mixed it! Water here is 58 degrees!
As always, awesome job!! My wife and I are new to hybrid fishing. Do you prefer the thumper over the splasher and/or does either really make a big difference year round?
Year around we use the splasher, but mostly in winter we use thumper. It’s important to have a thumper in the winter to keep them under you as you drift or move at whatever mph they are wanting.
I still run lead acid. They are just too cheap and still do really well for me. I’d looooove to lighten my weight. 5 batteries is a lot. I’m hoping they will come down. If I do get one, it would likely first be my starting and graph battery. That one seems to drain the most, especially when running multiple graphs.
@ we would simply throw little fishee jigs from the swim beach in April ….we used six pound test , I and my friend never broke 12 pounds off the beach, lol. But 8-10 pounders happened often enough..
Flats off points and river channels. We were catching these thousand yards off points. They are really scattered and roaming right now. I think they will gather up in bigger groups when it gets colder.
Thank you and keep up great videos
Thanks Mike!

A day to remember for sure!! Going to try the muscles next trip and see if it can do the same.
Nice! As usual.
Thanks!
Is it best to take different sizes of flukes when fishing for hybrids?
What kind of camera do you use to make videos

Great video like they all are question do you still run lead acid or do you run lithium

Tom Steed used to be packed with 8-10 pounders….I haven’t been there in many years…just wondering if the fishery is still any good.
I haven’t been there a lot but I haven’t really done great there. I’d like to fish it more. I’ve heard good things from back in the day.

@ I now live in Elgin, never been to Fort Cobb yet, but we will correct that this year.
Do you do any guided trips for texoma?
No we don’t guide. Hopefully we get out there this winter a few times. One of the best lakes in the state.
@@BooneBoyscould I join you guys one day?
They definitely need to put some sandbass back in Foss
They must have had some good spawns because we are catching them again.
@I’m old enough to remember how many sandbass there was before they put the hybrids and the saugeye in
@@Welcometothecountry116used to catch 100-200 sandies a day out there back in the 2000
@ yeah dang sure used to be better at least for the sandies the bass fishing has gotten way better in the last couple years
Was you scoping out points to find these?
