Imo, I wouldn’t polish the resin cores, due to the fact that the cape cod cloths are made up of coarse fibres, matched with an oily substance which are both made to eat away at the impurities of the copper and rub a micro layer off the metal. Therefore by frequently over-polishing you could wear away at the body of the sonic (as copper is an extremely soft metal, which is easily scratched and worn away at by polishing), and especially the epoxy resin cores - as you saw when the cloth had green residue left on it after wiping. This would leave the sonic dull after time and it’d be a shame to see it like that! Not to be negative, I love the sonic and lovely video mate, glad you’ve got it back!

Looks great polished. The only way to fix the wand company is to replace the battery which is a fairly easy thing the hard part is finding the same 35mah battery

As much as I love the wand company products it’s super ridiculous they stopped making these screwdrivers it’s weird when that 10th doctor sonic is going as much as a CT prop in some cases from what I’ve seen on eBay, I had a problem with my 10th from TWC years ago, they had me file off the number from the bottom so they had a picture of my serial number and a picture of it filed off, then they sent me a new one which works and I never wanted to use or touch because I heard they don’t make them no more. So I kept my working and non working one, so in case there’s someone who can fix it I’d send it over. I did message the wand company right when they stopped production of the 10th and I said what if my new one they sent me goes bad, they told me they have a year warranty if it goes bad, it covers manufacture defects. But they also told me that even after a year they still do the best they can on fixing their products, I still have the email too they sent me, it states that they can fix it depending on circumstance, mostly they’d do a battery replacement or any other repair. Which with the 10th Sonics it’s most likely a battery problem, they said they’d fix it, I don’t know who can fix it personally, but I heard some can do the battery replacement, and probably the wand company still does too hopefully, I hope this helps on problems with the 10th, there might be a tutorial somewhere on a battery replacement for it, I’ve looked into it, and I don’t trust myself enough to pry parts off to access a terrible battery, when this could’ve been prevented if they included a slot to put in a common triple A battery, recharging is very convenient, but it’s not convienient when it’s a terrible quality battery that goes out right when it comes out the box. But like I said I hope this helps with anyone who needs theirs fixed, I’d give wand company a try first, and if no prevail try to find someone who can crack it open and solder in a brand new rechargeable battery.
