Can you believe we live in a lifetime where Sonic Adventure 2 has been adapted into a feature film with Hollywood stars Keanu Reeves and Jim Carrey, and we get to see them intellectually analysing the characters? This is wild.
Keanu and Jim have both become a global treasure and gotta appreciate all the entertainment throughout the decades. It's a tragedy that it took them over 3 decades to finally work together.
Seeing Keanu and Jim Carrey in the same movie is a 90's kid dream. This movie will be one of the best movies this year and its gonna be another fan-service galore for everyone who loves the Sonic universe.
He said in the past he always tried to put on a character before when he was younger that he thought people wanted to see but now at his age he is just Jim the authentic version of himself to a degree obviously he hold part of himself back for his loved ones and friends. I am paraphrasing but he said something very similar to this multiple times

After calling Keanu "America's Sweetheart", both he and Ben let her know he's Canadian, she pretended to acknowledge them, then repeated, her question about him being "America's Sweetheart". She was probably excited about meeting them, but be professional and actually listen to what they are saying. Maybe send someone more seasoned next time.
As a lover of wearing costumes changing my character completely I surely understand his excitement about the costume Design works. It surely MUST HAVE BEEN FUN TO THE FULLEST.
