- "Peace" is a very common word in English, that means different things to different people. It's also a very important word in the Bible that refers not only to the absence of conflict but also to the presence of something else. In this video, we'll explore the core meaning of biblical peace, or Shalom, and how it all leads to Jesus.

Moonlit Oracle ...I've seen a bit of this as well....but when asked to provide a resume of what we did?? Sounds like the same folks that were doing the stuff Christians were supposed to do...and Jesus called them workers of iniquity and that He never knew them...
I know that there are plenty of manmade doctrines that we hold to as tradition in the branding of what we determine bases on teachings that are extrabiblical...
But to try to push works...that will be evidenced by God (Who alone knows the heart of man.)
We love because He first loved us. We breathe by His Spirit.
It is a work in progress and people are sanctified at different rates of growth...as it is also based on what we are willing to let go of in the aspect of our true identity in Him.

Wow, after viewing this video, this sentence has a deeper meaning than I thought just purely be free from war, but it’s more linked with Jesus’ other word in John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly”.

I have had a completely skewed thinking of what Peace truly is. I have been beating myself up about not being in conflict with others. I should be working for their well being. I need to be praying to God to restore people and pray to God that I can do my part to help. It does not mean not confronting people, but confront when it works to their betterment, when I cannot do that, I should pray and ask God to prepare their hearts. Thank you for this video, I have a lot of freedom now!!
I pray for peace, that God will heal all of our souls. We've all been damaged. The healing prayers for our soul can break generational curses and restore us. Merry Christmas and Slalom

It's been a couple years since I've seen this video and commented last. I'm still leading Bible study with your video's and my Church has used them as well. They make the concepts so easy to understand. I'm so happy that more recognition is coming to the BibleProject and I pray more and more people will get the opportunity to see them. Islam believes Jesus didn’t die on the cross and rise from the grave.
Jesus claimed He would die on the cross and rise from the grave and He did.
Jesus also proclaims to be God multiple times. Muslims don’t believe Jesus is God.
The quran also contradicts the Bible

The best explanation I've heard on Shalom! Restoring! Wow. Many want peace but think of self instead of the real essence of the word "Shalom" working to restore
so, the passage "If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peacably with all." from Romans 12:18 does not only mean not to fight about stuff, but to build something complete with everybody while it is possible. Very good to know, thank you for making this video!

Wow, I love how you related it to the whole Bible, and used specific biblical evidence! I think that Jesus gave peace to us when he died on the cross by restoring us from our sinfulness, by forgiving our sins.

I always thought it was 'salaam' ... or does that not matter?
In arabic it's written with only one A.
Also the A between the S and the L is not part of the word in arabic but this is the easiest way to pronounce it. It's looks like this سلام
In my language salam is grinded meat, like a sausage, air dried.
Through the Bible Project I have come closer to faith, and have read the Bible. I love your videos and spread them to others. They cover great topics and show insight to the deeper meaning of Christianity whilst also taking lesser educated people into account. My only tip to this video is: Make use of the whole screen. There is more space to use than that square frame to work in. Nonetheless, thank you for your time, your read, and your attention.

Wow that was absolutely awesome...I had a dream about but being in the rapture however, on my garment there was 'something missing' I woke up asking the Lord whats missing in my walk as a believer and it lead me to this video. I also dreamed of a baby crying and upset and I saw this baby at the beginning and the word Shalom, very timely word. Yes my peace was taken away but now I have it back, wonderful Father Jehovah Elohim Adonai 🦁🛡️🗡️⚔️🔥♥️🕊️👑 who loves and takes care of us, when we let Him, thank you for your ministry, amen,blessings and Shalom 💜😊👍🙏
