From what i have seen , when using ship tractor beams. You need to use Left-Alt + Scroll wheel to pull / push boxes. Also , if you press Q , you will swap between turret modes. The drag mode (same thing when flying a ship) is default. And when you press Q , it will change to mouse mode, and the camara moves exactly with your mouse instead of the dragging. Finally , in my Taurus tractor beam , when i press Left-Shift , it will slightly zoom in , i have not tried this on other ships yet , so i dont know if thats also universal between ship tractor beams or not.
Thanks for this. I think what should happen, is weight and distance could be a factor in the different devices. Also, it would be nice to have the Atlas and Ship trac allow for muliti lifting. So You can select 2-4 boxes, and move them as one. THIS would make these worth the price, space, and time to call/turn on.
Found using Atls on something like Max was not worth it loading, but well worth it unloading. I expect to use auto loader and unload manually. So imo loading and unloading are very different animals. Maybe do an unloading video.
This is a great test and demonstration of TBs. I find the tractor turret in the C1 is very sensitive (I use keyboard and mouse) and like with the ATLS I struggle for precision, so what you gain in speed you tend to lose in placement. But we shouldn’t forget the fun element and immersion. I like the fact we have multiple choices but I just wish they would refine the whole process a bit more. I’ll be very interested to see how much the ATLS will sell for!
Idk if that was a fair test of the tractor ship. That was some pretty bad turret control 😅. It’s hard with the v-joy and mouse. I use a stick and the tractor turrets are much easier to control. It’s not that much faster though. I keep my tractor ship right in my M2 unless I have a full load. That’s really the only time I use it. Big boxes from a starlifter. Otherwise it’s easier to just use the max-lift.
Now I bought it... to use it with my Caterpillar. But it's not suitable for that... it can hardly find a snap point in the Caterpillar... so unload it by hand and then you can throw it into the elevator with the ATLS... not great...

@@jimc7022 Yeah, exactly, best for extra large ships.
The ATLS is great... let's see what they want for it... but it shouldn't be more expensive than a pulse...
Hahahaaa… smh:(

@@Jean-GERNE Yeah melt Caterpillar and get C2 much better ship
ya know how when they first release something, its always overpowered to sell it. And then after the sell they balance it. :/
@@MrKill_SC I don't think this will get nerfed, thy made this to interest players to work with cargo and also to earn money in process.
@@infinitespace239 You are probably right. Cargo really does need some "fun" to go with it. This might be the thing that gets people into it.
