Man you’re definitely a good teacher, it’s incredible how can I understand every single word that you say, and how can I get clearly all of your points of view. Thank you for being so kind and supportive with English students ❤👏🏾👏🏾☕️
Certainly.
Yeah, but he is speaking quite slowly. You better not expect that the native speakers talk like that in real life hahah
It could be in our real life as well hahahahaha
You must be the most empathic and understanding teacher out there. I am a teacher myself and I use--and share--your videos with all my students, especially the ones in intermediate levels. THANKS for your wonderful job. ❣
I'm happy the videos help in some little way 💪
I like your humbleness Mr Canguroenglish.
empathic or empathetic, both mean the same..;eng is weird...
Every time my eldest daughter loses motivation at school (linguistic highschool!) I remind her that "school" and "learning" aren"t sinonyms and I tell her "Don't forget Christian's story and exemple!". Thank you teacher!
Italian?
What is this story?
Pppppp😊😊p0pppp😊pp😊p0000
Your example is... not clear
This happens even in my native language. It is good to be aware of this as well.
YES - these tips transfer over to any language, even our first language!
The best way to remember words is context. I ❤dictionaries with added contexts in the definition of each word. When you don’t remember a word, go around it with context as Christian mentions. I do it often even in my native tongue. Don’t be ashamed of not knowing or remembering, it happens to all of us even native speakers.
Market = The place you can buy stuff
Bone = Breakable white thing in our bodies
Afraid = Don't know what to do
Share = Giving without expecting anything in exchange
Snow = Rain but icy
Farm = The place where crops thrive
Mountain = The biggest rock you can imagine on the earth
Gold = Yellow pericous metal
Coat = The thing you wear when it's cold
Heavy = A lot of kilograms
I would argue that "afraid" doesn't mean "Don't know what to do". This is too far-fetched. Intimidated, scared, "shit a brick" or something along these lines could serve as a replacement.
I would argue that your examples wouldn't be easily recalled either. It's more like "cannot do what you want to do".
@@matrizaevIt is clear you have a high level of English. Someone at a lower level will use words that make sense to them, in the moment. Suggestions like scared are more helpful than 5 syllable words like intimidated or idioms which do not sound nice. Put yourself in a beginners shoes. Keep it simple.
@@deedeeenQuestion. If I cannot do what I want to do, am I afraid? If I cannot go to the cinema, am I afraid? I'm not sure.
@@cillboon I forgot to add that "afraid" should also imply some degree of existing ability; that being, it's likely that one could do it, but because of them being afraid, they refused.
The best TH-cam channel for english learners in the world.
YOU'RE A MASTER IN TEACHING ENGLISH. CONGRATULATIONS. YOU DESSERVES A OSCAR STATUE
I really appreciate the whole video, but at 10:15 there is a powerful flash:
"Remember: real communication happens in context, not in textbooks"
Thank you very much!
This man is the best teacher, and we can see he is a great person: not only he wants to teach us, but he wants we learn too. Thanks, Christian.
And he has a cat.
Thank you for your work teaching English. I've always understood your speech perfectly. I really like the contexts you create and especially when you bring in articles to explain certain concepts. Congratulations on your commitment.
Hi Christian, it's the second of your videos I've been watching and I am really fascinated by the way you teach!
Congratulations! Few teachers pay attention to speak clearly, calmly and with passion. Your teachings are remarkable.
You have no idea how much I loved this video! Thank you so so so much!!
Christian, I'm so happy I stumbled upon your channel.... THANKS to that eye-catching title! It really hit home for me because I've been grappling with similar challenges in my speaking. Your ability to connect with your audience is awesome, and I can't wait to check out more of your content. Big kudos to you, and keep rocking, sir!
P.S. That quick peek of you with your kitty cat was adorable! 😉
The best channel and the best content I've come across this year !
Like all your videos, this is another excellent example that with the correct mindset, anybody can be fluent in the language, and when I said fluent, I mean have the opportunity to communicate.
Thanks a lot, Christian.
I love the way you explain and encourage us to use different tricks for easy communication! I thought to say "shop for bread" will definitely make me look like a total beginner in English. But you persuaded me that it is better to describe something in simple words than stuck and mumble something while trying to find a right word) I will be mad at myself anyway that I forgot the word, but I will be glad that the person understood me!
Christian você é muito bom cara, eu tenho orgulho de ser inscrito no seu canal, você está cada dia melhor (portuguese brazil)
OMG! you cannot imgine how much happy makes me feel having found your channel. Your perspective about learning and teaching English as a second language and the way you explain it, is wonderful. Your non verbal communication is amzng! Love it. The topic, more than appropriate. Tah Master
Very useful strategies. Wise advice on communication coming first. Thank you, sir!
Great advice for everyone! Even as native speakers my family and I often find ourselves unable to find the 'right word'. Rather than using brain cells to stare at the ceiling and say 'um', I try to immediately circle around the unknown word on known paths. I may not know a person's name, but I might well remember where I know them from, what they do for a living, hair color, etc. Even if a particular word seems necessary to communicate what's on your mind, it often isn't.
That's called an Ideal & Professional mentor. Thank you 👊
Communication.... gold word ... THANK FOR THIS :)
