@The Lawn Mentor Holy Cow!! I used your concoction last night 31MAY and today 01JUN.. Deep dark lush green. Use a total of 20 oz or 1.25 lbs AMS and 16 ounces Liquid Iron over 4,000 sqft... WOW... Unbelievable -I'm hooked brother.. Running out to buy more!!!
Do you have any suggestion or accurate amounts of AMS? I have 21-0-0 AMS and I’m not sure how much dry product to dissolve per 1,000 or per gallon. You did 4lb so around 1 pound per gallon?
Really appreciate the videos. Trying to get my lawn back in shape and am new to applying fertilizer . Just a couple of questions , after applying ammonium sulfate and humic acid you do water in ? And do water in after applying Sea k ? Could you clarify watering in. I'm really new to this .Thanks
Thanks for the quick reply ! Info online is all over the place .Alot of videos don't mention watering in at all. Some say wait 24 hours some say right after applying . It's confusing if you're just starting out.
Question, does the Humic acid have to be watered in? For some reason I was under the impression that it had to be watered in after application. If not, this would work perfect for me.

Love your video. My question is about pounds on the ground. Since it is 21-0-0 and 50lb bag wouldn’t it take 2lb to get the .21 N on the ground? I have always thought it was 21% in the bag not per pound
The 21% is a ratio of how much N exists in any given sample of the enclosed product - it’s not unique to the bag size. So 1lbs of the full product will consist of 21% N (0.21lbs of Nitrogen)
Great video just put down some Milo and Humic 12 myself today keep up the great content also l like your trademark was wondering if there is available in a sticker
If it’s not coated in anything, they’ll dissolve. Use warm water and just agitate for a good bit. Also use the screen/filter that may have come with your sprayer to make sure you don’t dump chunks in there. I buy the spray grade stuff to make this process easier, but larger prills will dissolve. Urea is typically larger and just requires warm water and a little more mixing. Worth it for the money and lasting color if you ask me!
Yeah we like the metal soundtrack. I’ve been chucking sulphate of ammonia on the lawns for 35 years as granules and watering it in. Still learning obviously 😂. So, are you saying I don’t need to water the knapsack liquid application in afterwards; I think you are; I’m just checking. There’s no danger of it burning ??? Promise me 😊 I won’t sue you because I’m in uk. Well, probably won’t 😮

Do you mix 1 lb of ammonium sulfate per 1k Sq feet? You never said that in the video and I just picked some up to try on my Zoysia as my PH is 7.5 and want to start lowering it. Thanks for the content and I just subscribed.
Mixing up your own "brown water" and not paying shipping for it 🤣🤣🤣 That's the great thing - if you wanna spend your money on 'the expensive ' stuff go for it, I you don't, dont...its nobodies business what people spend their money on.. Great video Sir.. I'll grill a brat in your honor this weekend 🤪 😜 😌
The trick is not have sprayer with a larger hole. :) The real trick is to not pour too soon after mixing with the drill paddle. IE, don't pour if the water is still spinning around the bucket.
Informative and funny Kyle. Well done sir. Enjoy the weekend!
You as well, thanks for watching!
Mowing was never more epic than with a hard rocking sound track!
HECK YEAH BROTHER! I’ve watched that sequence almost too many times 😂
@@TheLawnMentor Rock & Mow on! Also I've used one of those cheaper Battery Water & Fuel Transfer Pump to move over liquids like that...but I'm lazy :)

I put the screen from the sprayer in a small road cone and then use the cone as a funnel. No mess and it pours in quick.
Oh that’s a great idea…I’ll have to try that

Hey, I’ve been there! And Humic stains BADDDD. That 22% is DARK too

Great video Could you tell me how much water was in that bucket that you poured the 4lbs of ams into thanks
It was about 3 gallons or so
Thank you
@@TheLawnMentor can you do this with sta green 20.5-0-0? And did you water it in?

Yes I’d suggest watering it all in!
Do you just hit it with a hose quick or do you suggest setting out a lawn sprinkler for some time ? Yes I'm that new to this !
@Greger-vd3cl it’s more about the volume of water you put down - I’d put down somewhere between 0.25” and 0.5” of water

I use a teejet air induction tip most of the time

My AMS granules are much larger than yours. You think they’d dissolve in water easily or is it not worth it?

Also, how many pounds per thousand for the ammonium sulfate
How long did it take for AMS to dissolve in warm water ? Thinking about trying this concoction this weekend!! Thank You brother 👊
It dissolves pretty easily especially with one of those drill mixer attachments. I love it

It depends how much nitrogen you want to put down. 1lbs per 1k would give you 0.21lbs N
Can you do a episode to show how to test your soil and how to come up with a program for the do it yourself wanna be
Thank you for the idea!!!
Hi, are you spoon feeding sulphate of ammonia monthly?
It’s my main fertilizer. Sometimes weekly. I change up the rates
@@TheLawnMentor So the rate of sulphate of ammonia you suggested in your video can be applied weekly?
@johnrichey7223 it depends on the growing season. Summer rates would be much lower than spring or fall for cool season

Good tips my man!
The liquid measurement is the same as dry?
Essentially. Whether you dissolve it in water or spread it dry, you calculate lbs of N the same
so in a nutshell if i wanna spray 1500 sq ft how much granular do i mix in my pack back sprayer , i have the same one you do . thanks in advance
@stacenrob1977 how much nitrogen do you want to apply per 1k sqft?
How many ounces per gallon for the enviro plex
Come over and show me how it's done
Mix it in the sprayer.
I did think about that but I didn’t want to spill any precious AMS on the ground lol
