    Fab Just the detail I’ve been looking for, about to put sky trak in my garage which is 3m wide and wasn’t sure if I could offset the centre so thanks 👍

    The Bag Mapping Feature of Skytrak is a real Eye Opener. It really give you a Visual of Lapses in Distant Coverage. If you are serious about improving your game getting something like this with a very good Golf Map is a must. Allows you to improve your Game in the Winter Time when Conditions are not good to play in. Especially if you are trying to improve your game.

      It's the best feature by Miles David 👍

    I am almost finished building a simulator in my garage. My usable space (my wife's car claims the other half) is 18' deep (5.5 m) x 10' wide (3.05 m) x 10' tall. The only issue is that my garage door rails are clearly within swing range. I am able to offset my hitting location so that it is not in play; and, I might be able to play a little closer than I am currently planning if my enclosure, which arrives tomorrow, allows me to be inside 8' (2.44 m) from the back wall when hitting (the rails are actually 9', or 2.75 m from the front wall.) I'll still need something of an offset, but not as much if I have to be back within the garage door rails. It's surprising to me that so few people posting videos of builds fail to clearly indicate the space they are using.
    I hope you back is still doing well.

    Brilliant video, thanks very much mate. I’m only 171 tall, and a 20 hcp, and have a ceiling height of approx 8’6”, so I think that should work for me, and I can leave my woods in the bag if I have to….

    Hi Craig.
    Just came across your channel yesterday - great content, I’m now a subscriber!
    We have a SkyTrak and last week purchased TGC2019 and are really enjoying it!
    We have 2.7m of height but I still managed once to crash my driver into the joists (they’re at a 90° to the ball flight) resulting in a phycological apprehension I call “basement syndrome”!
    I’m about 5’10” and my swing is probably too upright.
    Could you tell me a little more about the padding you put in your ceiling to guard against this? Right now the longest club I hit is a 3 wood.

      Hi
      Thanks for the message.
      I just put black fabric in my roof to finish off the room.
      I was lucky that my joists run parallel down my room and the gaps fit well where my backswing aligns at the top of my backswing.
      TGC 2019 is great 👍👍

      @@ScratchAt50 Yes, for us we had more room with the entire setup oriented at 90° to the ball flight. I'm thinking that I'll look at some sort of foam padding to fasten up on the joists to protect against this. I've been working on flattening out my swing anyway, perhaps once this is done I won't have to worry about this any longer!
      Thanks for the reply.

    What is the distance from ball to the wall behind you as you hit (the brick wall). I have 6' 8" from tee to the wall behind me. Is that more or less then what you have. You only mentioned the total width, but not from the ball to the wall behind you. Thanks!

    • @ScratchAt50
      @ScratchAt50  ปีที่แล้ว

      I measured it for you and it is exactly 180cm from the wall to the red dot hitting position

    Hi Craig, Great video. What about space from screen to the wall behind it ? Thanks.

    • @ScratchAt50
      @ScratchAt50  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not much at all, about a couple of feet, a good impact screen stops the ball dead in its tracks

    Hi Mate great video. Could you possibly tell me your room size measurements of your space you are using please? I have very limited space that is 10ft length, 8ft wide and only 8.08 ft height (I have open rafters like you). I am hoping this will be enough? But I am worried about my height as well as the space behind the ball on my length as it only leaves me 3ft behind (based upon your 7ft away from the screen min requirement). Would appreciate comparing against your working room size for conformation. thanks.

      Hi.
      My ball to screen 2.15m
      Width 2.4m (have to offset ball from centre
      Height 2.6m (need rafters and fabric)
      Hope that helps

    • @dawesdigital4928
      @dawesdigital4928 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ScratchAt50 Thanks for that what is your total length please? i.e. including space behind the ball? This is what I am most worried about (apart from height) is if my 10ft (3 m) length will be enough i.e. giving me your equivalent from ball to screen but also enough for the back swing. Is your total length more than 10 ft or 3M? I can't easily measure mine atm as it would take a good clear out to do so and test the back swing. Just trying to get some assurance its worth it. Thank you.

      @@ScratchAt50 Went ahead cleaned out my garage and created very similar space to yours. It's tight (especially with driver) but doable as you say. Kitted it all out with Skytrak, mats, wall protection, impact screen. Just waiting on my projector and Im good to go. Thanks for the video and assistance in making my mind up to go for it.

    Hi there. Many thanks for sharing this, I have been looking for this info for some time. One question, on the ball to screen you have 2.15m, I would prob only have 1.8m from ball to screen if I go ahead with plans. Do you think this would make a big difference if you were about a ft closer? Many thanks.

    • @ScratchAt50
      @ScratchAt50  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Having a good quality archery impact screen will be very important to kill the ball dead when hitting driver and not have it coming back at all.
      With that you should be fine but it's not ideal

  • @patrickbigras5232

    how much space do you have behind the ball? just enough for your driver swing? do you have a couple of chairs and a table for the friends?

    • @ScratchAt50
      @ScratchAt50  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Patrick. I have just enough room at the back for a chair with someone sitting, 1 person standing and a player hitting a shot, oh and the beer fridge 🙂

    What is the distance needed behind you, from ball backwards for the back swing

    • @ScratchAt50
      @ScratchAt50  ปีที่แล้ว

      Im not sure Joey as I had plenty of room in there for a swing and for people to stand at the back.
      You could measure that though by getting someone to measure from your ball to the furthest point back of your club head in your back swing.
