That Lexus spindle grill has always been a part of their design language. Was a whole lot less noticeable on the 90's models. They even had L shaped headlights so none of this is new it's just more pronounced and noticeable now.

Infiniti wins 🏆 hands down. $20000 extra for a quiet 4 cylinder they took out of the Rav4. Cooled seats in the second row should come standard in a luxury vehicle.

@@Coupe-sy9nk Other manufacturers also use cheap plastic, the only difference is in the design and coloring and there are motifs, even Mercedes, including Audi, also use the same plastic, besides the plastic would be considered expensive if it were carbon fiber. The most dangerous thing is when someone sells a car that looks luxurious but the price is very low, you need to be suspicious, especially in the engine components or suspension parts because usually that is the part where the quality usually becomes poor if you focus too much on the quality of the interior and exterior, and this is has become their marketing because ordinary people will definitely not check the quality under the hood

Is cooled rear seats worth 30k more than the Infiniti? Doesn’t seem like it. Despite Infiniti’s history of bad transmissions, this drivetrain with the ZF 9 sp and the tried and true NA 3.5 V6 should be dead reliable and low cost to own. In comfort features, both cars are evenly matched save for the rear cooled seats. The Infiniti is a bit smaller inside. The Lexus is still using digital instrument displays with 90’s resolution (which he didn’t show). That interior in the Lexus tester doesn’t remotely look like it belongs in a $70k plus SUV….more like it’s lower brother the Highlander. The Infiniti’s 3.5 is a bit rough around the edges in NVH. Overall, the easy winner for value between the two is the Infiniti, however this SUV should’ve been released like 5 years ago along with the same changes and new product for Infiniti’s nearly dead product line.

I have the 4 cyl in my RX500h... I have zero issues with the sound etc, its very torquie with the hybrid system, you get to highly illegal speeds simply passing 2 cars, and better than last RX with V6, I have owned both, and the new RX (I am assuming the TX is also) is more refined etc, I think they did a great job isolating the sound the of the 4 cyl whether they pump a little sound over the speakers I dont care.. I would give it a try if you are in the market, also the grand highlander is similar in size etc but you definitely get more goodies in the TX, the mark levinson sound is worth a couple grand easily.. plus less plastic surfaces etc.. I looked at one before buying the smaller RX.. my kids are older so dont car much about back seat etc.. RX works for me, TX probably too big. As for build quality, no issues so far, but ya I would rather have a japanese built model.. as for $$ I think they are overpriced a bit, but anything brand new (entirely new) is getting stupid priced.

I bought the RX.. it was smoother and quieter, the QX has really bad road noise over bumps, and I drove them on the same roads.... The RX sound system mark levinson blew away the Bose in the infiniti... I never liked the Bose in those much, and had 3 Q70 model cars (sedan) in the past that were super reliable and I loved.. However the smoother quieter and more refined ride of the RX - (and its faster) than the QX60, came with a higher price tag, for a vehicle that is a little smaller actually.... I looked at the GLE and X5 also but they were way higher $$..... I like infiniti, always have.. but went with the RX500h this time.. I like the look of the QX, but the RX more, havent looked at the new TX yet... last gen RX I didnt fit well, im 6'5" tall, this RX is probably as small as I would want it before not fitting well... the QX I had no issues with fit...... Im happy with my RX so far, its very nice to drive.. You get used to all the interface items on the RX very quickly.. It does have a lot of saftey items, too many beeps etc which I have shut off a lot of them... I dont know if the cost is justified, I think the RX is a little over priced, likely the TX is as well.. Can we agree on both of these vehicles wayyyyyy over priced, this interior and exterior quality a far cry from premium, it’s like Nissan kept its platinum trim line as well Toyotas platinum trim line in both of these luxury knock offs, now Genesis definitely takes a step up over exterior and interior

Lexus interior is not even Rav-4, where is the wood, aluminum and leather? Engine is turbo charged so be ready to replace it around 100k miles.. Infinity looks like a true luxury car, all leather and shiny panels.. I currently drive rx350L and feel sad for a new Lexus..

Here's a fun challenge for all the people saying they think the Infiniti is better - go look at any Infiniti that is even 5 yrs old and see how it looks/feels, and do the same with a Lexus. Lexus is worth the premium. Infiniti is not a true premium brand in my experience. I had an '18 Q50RS for 3 yrs and was so glad to be rid of it. Obviously the Q50 is long in the tooth and not a good example of what Infiniti are currently producing, which is much improved across the board, but each of them still feels much like the Nissan's they are based on. Go compare a QX80 to an Armada and see if you can spot the differences from the inside. You can't. The forthcoming one should improve substantially and I'm sure it will be better in every way, but driving dynamics remain to be seen. In all of the loaner cars I had (my car had about $10k of warranty work done on it over the 3 yrs I had it) over the course of owning my Q50 - spent a lot of time in the QX55 and QX50 plus some seat time in the QX60, I just don't think they feel luxurious on the road. There is nothing "special" about them, and each one was disappointing to drive, couldn't wait to get back in the Q50, which I didn't even love. Toyota has done a much better job differentiating between Toyota and Lexus. I would not buy another Infiniti, and in fact, they offered me some huge discounts to buy a new one when I told them I was planning to sell the car (which I did in March 2022) but I resisted because I was so disenchanted with the brand. I've owned a few different Lexus' in the past and while they are not leading the pack in powertrains or performance, they do have an air of quality that no Infiniti currently matches. They do feel "special". Dealer service/experience is first rate, although I would actually say BMW's dealer experience was the best, in my exp. Between these two cars, I would still pony up for the Lexus. It will look much better after it's been on the road a few years and I would expect the interior will hold up well, and based on Lexus reliability history, few unscheduled dealer visits. Haven't even started with the sub-par Bose sound systems that Infiniti is so proud of. Ditch the Bose, already. It's just okay, but it pales in comparison to even the base systems used by Lexus.
