Bought TX350 Luxury a couple months ago. Already put 6K miles on it. I’ve owned 4 Lexus vehicles before this one (RX300, and three LS430’s). This is the quietest best riding vehicle I’ve ever owned. Exceeds all my expectations. I’m 6’4” tall and I have tons of room. Great great car!
We just bought a TX 350 premium and love it. Shopped the Honda Pilot, MDX and Grand Highlander. Cabin is more quite then all of them and the ride is fantastic! Room in the 3rd row nothing comes close either. The interior is all soft touch material and I have no complaints. Love the big info screen~
I test drove a premium trim model of this vehicle about a month ago, and I absolutely loved it. I was originally going to buy a Grand Highlander, but after test driving the TX and going to the Chicago Auto Show to sit in and interact with the Grand Highlander, my wife and I have decided to save up some extra money for the Lexus, but we're going to go for the TX 500h F-Sport, instead, because of the better suspension and gas mileage, and I don't need the moon roof, so we don't need the luxury trim of that one.
When looking for a vehicle to buy, my biggest decision point is not what car to buy......but which Lexus to buy. In this day and age, no other carmaker has come close to Lexus in terms of refinement, quality, luxury, comfort, and longevity.

Great review brothers. I love anything Lexus. I bought one of the very first Lexus LS 400's ever sold in Illinois. It wasn't much of a looker, but oh my, the ride quality, power, and luxury interior for the times were above and beyond. At that time it far exceeded any Benz on the market imo. The Lexus pricing is way outta my range these days, otherwise I'd grab one of these in a NYC second. Cheers guys, have a great weekend
I test drove the 350 Luxury and really liked it. I thought the 4 cylinder had a lot of power but I do agree it was a bit harsh sounding and loud at times for a luxury vehicle. I liked all of the technology but I could see it being very distracting with the amount of menu screens available to cycle through. Not sure if there is enough here to justify the price increase over the Grand Highlander Hybrid Max though.
I don't get the obsession with captains chairs on giant vehicles. Four places in the first two rows and six total isn't impressive for a 200+ inch long family hauler. Wish they'd let you have a bench on all trims.
I feel that Lexus was stuck on this vehicle. I think they had to make it less luxurious because it could take away LX and GX sales. I drove this model and found wind noise above 60mph. Sounded like the windows were open but they were not. Also the engine is ok but the sound from that engine is horrible at this price point. Also I found it hard to tell the difference between base model interior and executive. This should not be the case. Also I find the seats short and you need the top package to get that. Also the top fsport version has no thigh extender. Just get the platinum max grand highlander. Still cheaper than the Tx base model and comes with the same engine offered on the tx500 fsport. It also uses regular fuel and the portobello interior colour is better than the dark options (only peppercorn and black offered on non fsport trims in Canada). Furthermore, the gh uses regular fuel and is over 20000 less than the starting price for a similarly equipped tx500 in Canada. Couple this with lower maintenance costs at Toyota( about 30 to 40 percent cheaper in Canada compared to Lexus) and it is a no brainer. The TX is truly not worthy of the Lexus badge. I have a gx460 and gs350 and I am not happy with the TX unless you are driving in a straight line and coasting without touching the gas pedal.
Why is every manufacturer ditching normally aspirated engines in favor of turbo? Is the extra torque and slightly better fuel economy really worth the risk, i.e. higher likelihood of mechanical issues? I am especially wondering why Toyota is ditching its V6 and V8 engines that are legendary for their reliability, smoothness, and refinement, in favor of noisier turbo-4's whose long-term reliability is unknown.
Fuel economy and I believe another big thing are government regulations that penalize gas consumption. It should be worth nothing though, that I believe the way the turbos are being implemented on these engines is different. They have probably engineered and designed the function of turbos to be optimal given the context of which they're being used, as opposed to sport performance. If that's the case I feel like they should name the use of turbos something differently, if it's for efficiency rather than performance
Thanks for the info. If they are being implemented for efficiency and not sport, does this mean the pressures will be less and the engines will last just as long as normally aspirated ones?, @@HiiImChris
The main reason is emissions. That is the only reason. fuel economy not so much. A hybrid V6 can still get just as good fuel efficiency. And then add a plug in version even better. But I wouldn’t worry about reliability as much should be good. Not Lexus’s first turbo engine. And in other countries Toyota sells large cars/trucks with low HP engines. I know they sell a 3 row SUV with like 150hp 4 cylinder in Latin America and it’s super reliable just not fast
I bought a TX 350 premium... very nice BUT... at 80+ MPH, it is TOO DARN LOUD inside (you will be PISSED at 85-90 mph). My 2007 Tundra is quieter. My kids' Hyundai Elantra and Tucson is quieter at that speed. I recently test drove a Hyundai Palisade and at less than 20K... the Palisade is fully loaded and quieter. Reading so many of these comments and I am confused about the hate for a 4 cylinder turbo and their complete ignorance regarding the average Lexus buyer and someone who wants more performance. Personally speaking I would never buy the 350 variant as I prefer way more pep, however the average Lexus owner does not care about 0-60 times. I leased the 2022 RX450h about 2 years ago as I wanted the V6 paired with a hybrid but after test driving the RX and TX 500h variants I'm starting to get super antsy about my current lease ending. The 500h turbo 4 set up with the hybrid motors put most V6 turbos to shame with its torque and smoothness not to mention the MPG ! I just wonder if the hate from people online is just misinformed as they've never driven one.

@@dozie6650 we own a baseTX 350 and an MDX Tech trim. I’ll copy/paste my reply from another thread: the MDX handles better and has better steering and breaking, but the cargo and seating space and the multiple storage compartments (especially for front seat passengers) in the TX make for much less stressful car rides. Other than one small slot and the wireless charger, there’s nowhere to put anything for front seat passengers (unless you count the middle storage bin, but we keep that full with hand sanitizer, alcohol wipes, etc for the kids). I also like that the TX rides smooth, feels like a big suv and feels high off the ground, whereas when I’m in the MDX I feel like I’m in a car. Also, I MUCH prefer the infotainment and backup camera in the TX. The trackpad isn’t bad in the MDX , but the TX infotainment is much more user friendly and better designed and the MDX backup camera quality is a joke compared to the TX. And the seats in the TX are far more comfortable (MDX seats are on the hard side and the leather on the stiff side). Also, I like that the TX comes standard with a cargo/privacy cover, whereas our MDX (tech trim) did not. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the mdx, it’s great value for the money and the tech trim has some amazing features that my base TX doesn’t (pano roof, ambient lighting, standard upgraded instrument cluster, front and rear parking sensors, more color options for seats), but to say the MDX is better for every consumer is untrue, and that’s coming from someone who OWNS both. At the end f the day, you can’t lose with either vehicle. They’re both amazing in different ways.
When I see someone driving Toyota or Lexus I know they are very smart with their money, I’m still surprised on why not so rich people buy other brand of cars, poor reliability, bad resell value

@Josh-xo6iy but the 2025 MDX isn't getting any bigger. It's a tech upgrade and some designs. Right?
@@cupofjoe2988 Yup not sure which one you’re model you’re looking at but a bit of a redesign and interior changes. Not a full refresh.
@@Josh-xo6iy I didn't know that!!! I thought it was literally a refresh of the grill and a change to a touch screen!! I'm waiting till they show up for sure! Thank you!!!
Mdx is more fun for sure
Answer is easy: No, the best 3-Row SUV is the TX 500h PHEV
They want $25000 down on a lease around $575 a month here in NJ !!!!!!! They not letting them go for cheap and they adding a premium price to each truck that gets sold because “ not too many of them available “ Lexus made me go back to VW and grab that Atlas SEL R Premium on all black and it’s ok
I got mine at msrp no hassle whatsoever
They’re also adding an extra 5K to the Toyota Land Cruiser. When asked why, he said because they are in such high demand, all the while they had 6 on their lot!!!
@@renneastuart6947just walk away tbh they are not worth it
Music is too loud
I am trying to understand how this car compares to toyota sequoia. This car interior looks better and third row is one less people but more comfortable. So other than having a bigger engine does sequioa has any advantage over lexus tx 350 premium?
Soooo what’s up the Santa Fe??
Find out this afternoon!
@@CarConfections lol ok
5'8 driver and 5'9 in back seat has room. What about 6'2 in front and 6'0 in back?
no massage front seats? I guess for the price its ok but lexus misses the mark on some things that the Germans get right. Yes, Lexus should last forever but lets get some massage front seats and heated and cooled cup holders (BMW X7) good job guys
Doesn't the X7 cost more? And you can't have heated and cooled cupholders if the cupholders are removable.
Oh, the 2024 Lexus TX 350! That sounds like an exciting car model. Lexus is known for its luxury and style, and the TX 350 is no exception. With its sleek design and advanced features, it's definitely a vehicle that catches the eye. Whether you're looking for a smooth ride or top-notch performance, the TX 350 seems like a great choice. Enjoy the journey in style! 🚗💨
Exciting!? Top notch performance!? Sleek design? Advanced features!?
With all due respect to you, 😂😂😂😂😆😆😆😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😆😆
The TX is literally none of those things 😂
@@naveenthemachine I agree the TX isn't a performance vehicle but it's good for families who want luxury, comfort, and space
The new TX is a fantastic vehicle but if I didn't need the space I'd still pick a MDX over it bc of the driving dynamics
@@CarGeek360 luxury comfort space also describes a Kia telluride sx prestige or Hyundai palisade calligraphy. Both give you all those things at a lower cost. The luxury badge doesn’t mean a thing if you don’t even get that
@@naveenthemachine the Pallisade and Telluride are lower quality products than the TX and they will (typcially) be a lot more troublesome than a TX, people typically buy Acuras and Lexuses over the competition for reliability
55 decibels is definitely on the higher side for the segment.
Give me a Telluride hands down any day. The 4 cylinder is underpowered and noisy. Lexus flat out missed the mark with these. Might as well purchase a Grand Highlander for 15k less. At this point you're just purchasing the Lexus badge. At this price point I'd purchase a GV80 or MDX.
I agree
Purchased a 24 telluride xpro. Only 5900km, dealer said the engine needs replacement…so this over kia anyday
We went to Mazda for maintenance of our Mazda CX-5 twin turbo. We road tested CX-90 inline 3.3L V6 made in Japan.
We owning Toyota from 1985-2000 Camry, Cressida, Tundra and Highlander. Tundra T3 Special Edition. Toyota- Lexus GX recently(cheap made material).
We are leaving our loyalty Toyota for now for outdated interiors, poor quality-materials.
Mazda is small company with quality made and inline twin turbo with 8 speeds trans.
Lexus needs to start using more wood in their interiors....they are starting to look cold/cheap.
My wife loves the more modern look of her new NX350h compares her old 08 RX350 and my ES350.
Materials are surprisingly cheap. Just get the grand highlander. Wish they had a real V6 too.
The seats looks horrible!! Am I looking at a Toyota Sienna here??
Looks like 2019 highlander
Fancy Highlander?
Somthing like porsche a fancy VW statement
Toyota/Lexus: Please bring back the V6 to the RX and Highlander!
Sadly it isn't going to happen. Recent CAFE rule changes have forced this. Lexus thinks 7+ years into the future and 4 popper hybrids are the only way to comply.
Kind of boring looking! I pass.
Pretty sure I can pay A LOT LESS and get EVERYTHING this offers, with a Hyundai Palisade. And with the money I save, I can get me a motorcycle
Why this mid size suv cost the same as Escalade ?
Naveenthemachine, you in here trash talking again? How much do you get paid because this is your job I’m sure. Nobody can dedicate the amount of time and feelings that you exude without it being a paid gig.
Yeah lol, atp I’m convinced his full-time job is talking trash about the new RX and TX (probs getting paid at least $10k a month most likely even more)
Yet people are expressing their disappointment in the tx
It’s obvious that I was right and you failed to prove me wrong once again as usual.
@k360 I don't think he gets paid for it. He sounds too cheap even for a dollar.
@@naveenthemachine what I fail to understand is how you keep this passion up. You go into hundreds of videos about this one car that you hate and start conversations about it. Normal people that dislikes a car wouldn’t waste a second of their time on it like you do- and you do it everyday like a hobby. I sure hope you’re getting paid for it, whoever that hired you which you still haven’t said a thing about and is avoiding like the plague. So I’ll ask you again more directly this time, are you getting paid for this by the competitor to trash talk the car?
@@reyd8609 he's just a weird person ig
Not even. This lexus TX has too many open gaps on them especially interior. Their quality and control needs to be sorted out before it gets worst for them. Even BMW, Genesis, and Benz got a better interior than this. What a huge disappointment from Lexus.
Agreed. I knew this was going to happen. Yet nobody listened. They all thought Im just a Toyota hater 😂
@@naveenthemachineToyota fanbase are just denial when you tell the truth
@@naveenthemachine you literally are though? What are you otherwise? A Toyota enthusiast?? Definitely not lol. What we have here is an iconic trio of what I see is Anti-Toyota/Lexus people. Nothing against you guys, but you 3 are the definition of that lol.
How is this luxury interior? Where is the wood?
@@Ryan2022 it doesn’t exist 😆. Nor does a leather dashboard, full leather doors, leather airbag cover, metal speaker grilles, no features etc. none of these exist in the TX
The leather on the drivers seats is already worn, and I know the car isn’t a year old 😢
MDX all day. However, very practical😊.
I own an MDX and a TX. I love the MDX but I prefer driving the TX
@@CK-1000what do you prefer about the TX? Is it more comfortable and quiet? What trim do you have?
I too would pick the MDX over the TX but they’re both awesome products and the TX is the superior choice if you need the extra space
@@CK-1000thank you for this. I was curious, I most likely will not buy either since they are so expensive.
it is dirty inside of headlight
4 cylinders is crasy.
Hey it didn't fall apart like that brand new Hyundai you bought 😂😂
When I see someone driving Toyota or Lexus I know they are very smart with their money, I’m still surprised on why not so rich people buy other brand of cars, poor reliability, bad resell value
I beg to differ!! The most popular version will be the hybrid version!!
Glossy plastic is not luxurious, it should be reserved for ford AND CHEVYS. Its trashy not classy. Shame on you Toyota!
73k with lots of plastic and 2.4l -4 cylinder? 🤣🤦♂, no thank you.
Yup! I really thought we would get one then test drove it and was like this is a Lexus?! No thanks!

I will buy 250k Range Rover and sell it for 35k after 3 years
I can't find anything about a TX 350, only a RX 350.
The most non-Lexus looking Lexus. Screams Toyota from every angle.
Not a fan of the exterior. Would pick an Acura MDX over this
Agreed. Id pick literally anything else over the TX
Understandable, I love both but would pick the MDX if I didn’t need the extra space
