This episode should be called “Harry catches a Fish!🐟” Seriously, any accolades you two receive are well deserved. Your editing and post production are documentary quality. 🎥 And the places you show us; 99 percent of those watching will never get to experience in real life. Still , you inspire us to get out and experience what is around us. Much appreciated.🙏🙏
Thank you so much for your kind words! It means so much to us. These videos take a lot of time to edit so receiving feedback like this means so much ☺️
The elation on Harry's face is priceless, again an amazing video. After this first fish Chloe will have to get used to Harry stopping at every water body to try to catch something. All the best to you both from Kenya.
Howdy y’all! Celebrate the newest member of the Hemingway Fish Society! Congratulations on the “catch” of such a danger do fish! Danger as in now your “hooked”! Enjoy your joy! Thanks again for sharing! From Texas with such admiration! 🎣
Great video! So glad to see that Harry was finally successful at catching a fish (not that I have ever tried) - priceless seeing his exhilaration! Looking forward to seeing your next video! Thanks so much!
It's such a joy to watch your vids. From my armchair in California my overlanding alter ego is living vicariously through you, and urging me to follow in the flesh. Almost 30 years ago my wife and I traveled the length and breadth of woundrous Zimbabwe with its largely unspoiled nature and beautiful people, in spite of its tumultuous past.
You guys are doing such an amazing job. We love watching your videos. We live in SA, and we have also traveled to our neighboring countries, and you guys just bring back so many wonderful memories. You inspire us to go back again and again. You are truly living the dream. Enjoy and travel safe. Lots of love
Awesome episode again, you guys have certainly become one of my top 5, well done on your 1st "fish" in 7 months, keep on trying, they will get bigger and surprise you. Keep on 'wild camping' thats why you are in Africa and thats why you have the vehicle you have.
Hi Harry and Chloe. In Australia, caravan parks are now so expensive to stay in, that many people are now free camping. Congratulations on finally catching a fish, even if you had to throw it back. The shepherds pie recipe is also a winner.
We have found some campsites across Africa to be very overpriced. Also, we enjoy wild camping now and then. Thanks so much! The Shepard’s pie was so good! Let us know if you try our recipe ☺️
Love your videos really takes me back. Also love the way you’re both so supportive of each other, it’s not easy being locked in a tin can together for months on end. 😊
Hey, I am sure I saw your vehicle at sarit center parking lot today. A long way from where you started the Africa adventure, a long way from home as well!
Harry and Chloe, what a much enjoyed upload.... We haven't commented in a while. Running out of coffee can be a real drag 😮. You got me craving for a good old cottage pie like my grandmother used to make us in Namibia growing up. Well us twoos really enjoyed watching you twoos and have some reminders of those Zimbabwean structures a few decades ago... not built by our African folk as they would tell you. Quite amazing the monolithic type structures.... Well we suppose today the displays of ancient Chinese tea cups and pots have been long gone removed.... Safe travels you blessed young couple! PS: Thaàt feesh... Never caught one in a lifetime, not that a tried all that hard to my dear dad's utter distraught 😅....
Thanks so much for your comment!! Running out of coffee is a disaster 🤯 The structures are totally amazing, very impressive to see. Let us know if you try our cottage pie recipe ☺️
So nice to see another video, and I am even first with a (substantial) comment here. I am just loving your African trip so much! I am slowly preparing to sell my current car, and am hoping to get some kind of 4x4 with some of the money I get from it. I am in love with Range Rover Classics, the 2 door variant, but the Defender or even an FJ Cruiser are also options, all depending on what comes up. With 4x4 in hand, I will slowly start to kit it out with cabinets and so on, and perhaps one day, I too, shall be on the road looking for adventure.
Another really interesting video from places I haven’t yet had the chance to visit. Harry you are now “the fisherman!” 🎉. Enjoy wild camping as it’s obvious that you always leave it as you found it. Stay safe 👍
Well done Harry, congrats on the big one. Never say never hey. Great vids you guys. Really appreciate you sharing your adventures. AND catching the big one lol
Yet another great video, H and C you are a great couple, great example and we enjoy your journey. Greetings from Germany PS I guess you had some guilt, because you returned the poor fish in a hell of a speed
The fisherman! Well done! Love your videos. We are “weekend” overlanders, so go on adventures with you during our working weeks 👍. Will have to host you for a braai when you are in Western Australia.
Congrats on the fish Harry, not sure about Africa, but most times I see people fishing, they use way too heavy fishing line for what they are trying to catch - for lakes and rivers 6 to 10 lbs line is all you need unless your after a monster, same applies to hooks, maybe size 12 to 16 would do in most cases! Happy Hunting
Have you had much problem with mozzies on your tour? Keep up the great work. It is a joy following your journey. Looks liek Cloe (SP) is a Doors fan. Ditto. Are you able to run most days on the tour?
Congrats on the fish 👍. I used to kayak fish quite a bit, and would rarely catch anything. If one did catch fish consistently, they would call it "catching", as the saying goes. What is the name that you call the cast iron dutch oven?
Hey there, I’ve recently started watching your videos of the African safaris and love it, it motivates me to go out there and do it with my family. One question I have, are you both taking any malaria protection when travelling Namibia and Botswana or do you reckon it can be done without?
Yeah, we agree! Sometimes we enjoy socialising with other overlanders at a campsite but sometimes we love being isolated in remote locations, with just the sounds of nature!
Some countries around the world allow wild camping but many countries in Africa don't. I completely disagree with wild camping in Africa. If you can afford to go overlanding through Africa then you need to budget for staying in campsites each night. Often these campsites are the only source of revenue for the local communities and as much as you may complain about lack of facilities you are still very priviledged to be able to do what you do and there are a multitude of very remote campsites in Africa. If you do decide to wild camp then seek permission of the local chief and give them something for allowing you to stay on their tribal land. If every overlander decided to wild camp it would be a disaster for the environment: fires, rubbish, human waste etc.
As I said we do spend most of our time in campsites which do cost a lot of money for what you get sometimes. I don’t see any problem in seeking an adventure off the beaten track to make you feel totally remote in camping. After all that’s what camping is about. Going out into nature and disconnecting with everything else, for me anyway. Wild camping you get to meet so many fantastic locals. We don’t do it out of disrespect more to seek a bit more of an adventure. Your comment about source of revenue for locals. In our experience it is not local people profiting from campsites. Often expats. Appreciate you taking the time to comment and starting an interesting conversation! As I said I knew people have different opinions on this and that’s ok 😄
Well to add ... This is Africa and unfortunately many do leave behind more than their stoop and poop. Fact is every overlander worth his bollocks (pardon me for being a tad crass), would not leave anything behind apart from probably a bit if coverable ash and well dug away poop. A true overnaturelander leaves only tracks behind! So yeah, the story has two sides. 😊
This episode should be called

Now you have sorted the difference between “fishing” and”catching fish” we are expecting great things when you guys reach the coast!
Booyah! 😛
Great video! So glad to see that Harry was finally successful at catching a fish (not that I have ever tried) - priceless seeing his exhilaration! Looking forward to seeing your next video! Thanks so much!
😂 it was pretty exciting I must say

Thank you so much for your kind comment! He was so so happy! I’m so pleased I managed to capture that moment ☺️
Love your videos really takes me back. Also love the way you’re both so supportive of each other, it’s not easy being locked in a tin can together for months on end. 😊
Thank you! It sure can be testing at times but we make it work. We are always there for each other and will support each other always ☺️
Hey, I am sure I saw your vehicle at sarit center parking lot today. A long way from where you started the Africa adventure, a long way from home as well!
Haha yes that was us. Our TH-cam videos are delayed. A long way from home!!
You guys are great, and Harry, I know the feeling of not catching a fish when you think you’re ready. Real frustrating!!… nice work!
Thanks so much! Harry was so stoked!

Again an epic episode
Thank you 🙌

Cheers! Of course always leave the land as you found if not better. (Take some rubbish with you that was there before)
Cheers
YAY!! Congrats Harry!
...and I don't know who criticizes wild camping, but it's the BEST way to explore - keep on doing what you're doing!
Thank you!! Yes, we agree. We expected some mix opinions on this topic which we have received 😬
Love your show, thanks for sharing. As a South African, giving me ideas for my future trips.
Thanks so much ☺️
Well done Harry, congrats on the big one. Never say never hey. Great vids you guys. Really appreciate you sharing your adventures. AND catching the big one lol
Thanks so much! So pleased you enjoy watching ☺️
👍🏻 Well done. Now you’ve broken your bad luck fishing, you’ll soon be pulling them out. I also preferred wild camping.
Hahah that’s right! Hopefully many more to come 🤞
Yet another great video, H and C you are a great couple, great example and we enjoy your journey. Greetings from Germany
PS I guess you had some guilt, because you returned the poor fish in a hell of a speed
Thanks a lot! Ah yeah I didnt want to keep him out for too long 😂
Nice catch. Now you just have to catch one that you can keep and eat.
Yes! Hopefully next time 🙌
Btw… chloe is lovely !… lucky chap….
That’s so kind, thank you ☺️
The fisherman! Well done! Love your videos. We are “weekend” overlanders, so go on adventures with you during our working weeks 👍. Will have to host you for a braai when you are in Western Australia.
Haha thanks so much! That’s very kind of you 🙌☺️
Spotted you in Nairobi.
Haha nice ☺️
Well done Harry what fish was that tiger, black bass?
We think it was a small bass?
Congrats on the fish Harry, not sure about Africa, but most times I see people fishing, they use way too heavy fishing line for what they are trying to catch - for lakes and rivers 6 to 10 lbs line is all you need unless your after a monster, same applies to hooks, maybe size 12 to 16 would do in most cases! Thank you! That’s interesting to know! Thank you for sharing this with us 🙌
Have you had much problem with mozzies on your tour? Keep up the great work. It is a joy following your journey. Looks liek Cloe (SP) is a Doors fan. Ditto. Are you able to run most days on the tour?
Yeah the mozzies can be pretty brutal!
Thanks a lot! Chloe loves her t shit 😂
Congrats on the fish 👍. I used to kayak fish quite a bit, and would rarely catch anything. If one did catch fish consistently, they would call it "catching", as the saying goes.
What is the name that you call the cast iron dutch oven?
Thanks so much! That’s awesome.
The Africaans word for a Dutch oven in a Potjie.
Yaaay, a fish...small one, but you gotta start somewhere....next one will be a whopper for sure! 😊
Haha absolutely!
Wild camping is the way to go. Ignore to harpies and their BS. Campgrounds are for housewives and little girls.
I agree 😂
Another great video and congrats on that fish boet 🙌😂
Thank you ☺️
Have you visited any other world heritage sites?
Ah yes I believe we have
Hey there, I’ve recently started watching your videos of the African safaris and love it, it motivates me to go out there and do it with my family. One question I have, are you both taking any malaria protection when travelling Namibia and Botswana or do you reckon it can be done without?
Hey there! Awesome glad you are inspired! We haven’t taken malaria prevention throughout Africa.. but don’t take what we’ve done as advice 😂
Cute😂😂😂
Haha!
Wild Camping is my preference. I dont want to see another person. haha, In fact if I can see or hear people, I am not far enough out.
Yeah, we agree! Sometimes we enjoy socialising with other overlanders at a campsite but sometimes we love being isolated in remote locations, with just the sounds of nature!
Hi

What a load of bollocks

As has been said eloquently by others….what a load of bollocks.
