- Our road trip around Zimbabwe - Last summer I got to take Dan back to my beautiful home country for the first time. It was so good to be back home after 11 years, and we were so inspired by Zimbabwe's natural beauty, and traditional crafts.
Soundtrack composed and produced by Dan, featuring live vocal performances from Zimbabwe.

I’m in awe!! This is sooooo beautiful. I’m from South Africa, so the landscape feels familiar, but your “camera eye” on everything is incredible! This is such beautiful storytelling
This is so kind, thank you so much for taking the time to watch it and leave such an encouraging comment! 💛
I couldn't have said it any better. You've put a lot of hard work in to this. Everything comes together just Beautiful.
Southern Africa is the same. Share many languages and hence some names and surnames are the same as well❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You should visit Zim will drive you around
I grew up in Northern Ontario, Canada and I've always felt like I've been missing a part of myself. My father wasn't in the picture so I was raised by my white mother. Being in a predominantly white community, I also never knew any black people growing up and I felt very uncomfortable with my appearance because the beauty standards were white. I hope one day I'll get to visit Ghana and specifically the village where my dad is from. This video is beautiful, I only hope my return to Africa will be as wonderful
Africa awaits you sweetheart. We love you
Am originally from Ghana and grew up in Ontario now in Edmonton. You will have a great time when you do go we have similar landscape and beautiful sights and wonderful nature depending where you visit but overall wonderful where-ever you go and experience in Ghana and anywhere in Africa.
You will not be disappointed. Africa is magnificent. The people are wonderful. I've lived my whole life in Southern Africa, except going back to my ancestral roots in the UK for 3 years. A good experience which only made me appreciate living in Africa even more. Do some living in Africa mate.
Your voice is like from TV documentaries + the good editing= AMAZING! I have just subscribed.
I agree
True

This is beautiful. An African story from an African perspective. Thank you for putting us on the map. Proudly Zimbabwean🥰
I honestly want to cry. This is making me feel so nostalgic and homesick. Which is funny because I've never left Zimbabwe. This just reminds me of how I used to experience this country when I was a kid.
This is really beautiful, thank you so much for watching!! 💛

Gorgeous storytelling, took a trip to Zimbabwe without even leaving my living room tysm :)
Thank you for showcasing Zimbabwe in such a beautiful way ❤
🌴☀️I am so filled with emotions, I’ve never been to the continent & as a person of color who’s ancestors were taken from somewhere in Africa, to then be born in the west it is a true gift to see one of the numberless truths demonstrated in this video of how my true home REALLY LOOKS. Thank you for sharing this with me, my heart is full & I needed this☀️🌴
you're allowed to visit or even to start a new life here
Wow I cried in the part with the red clay. Such a well done lil documentary of your travels!
Its nice to see a happy Zimbabwean among the perenially bitter lot on the internet who makes us feel like its a sin to be proud of your country. I have always been proud of my culture and roots, doing the best I can to portray the positives. Culture is a separate thing from the Economy and Politics. Loving your culture/roots doesn't mean you also love the politics.Culture is who you are, where you come from, your motherland, identity and roots. You cannot wash away your Zimbabweanness. People will always ask you where you are from, and your conscience will give in. Because how long can a man pretend to be what he is not.
What great insights of wisdom. Your words are very wise , we need more people like you ❤❤❤ Thank you I have gained by just reading your positive words, True a community of love love love❤
you could not have said it better fami, i love being zimbo and everything about it,good and bad.i am zimbabwes number 1 fan,i am too proud and obbssessed with being zimabwean
Thank you for sharing this, it really resonates! 💛
the politics and economy is everywhere I hear it from Ghanaian's in Canada a lot especially in the tropical stores here.
This was healing on so many levels. I did not realize how much home sick I’ve been after a decade of living abroad. Not only am I now planning a road trip of my own when I finally go back, but whenever my friends and colleagues ask me what Zim is like, your vlog is what I will be showing them. There truly is no place like home. Thank you Mutsa and Dan for sharing your journey with us. 🇿🇼❤

Thank you so mush the scenery was absolutely 💯 breathtaking. I am an African American who is a senior, who may never ever be able to visit Zimbabwe however, thanks to your awesome coverage I am truly blessed because of your amazing photos. You gave me the opportunity to see the people and the culture the animals and the incredible landscapes. This has given me the opportunity to share with the younger people in my family if I am not able to visit they can. Bless you and your beautiful family.❤❤❤

Just why is it necessary what if he’s Jamaican and black , it does not matter what colour
Wow. No words can describe how beautiful this vlog was. As a Zimbabwean living outside the country, I couldn’t help but feel the emotions. Thank you for sharing your trip and experience with us ❤

This was the most incredible vlog I've ever came across

Your husband is so cool. I like how he blends in with the culture and gets lost within it. He’s one of us. Do more and more videos of you guys around the whole country. New sub here…
How is 'one of us'? He is European and dones a hippie hair style. He is definitely European.
@@jaycee9752 she understood what I said…as for you, it flew over your head.

The food was amazing also!! Ate Sadza and chicken stew everyday for 1 week never knew chicken could taste so nice
I am born and raised in America but i absolutely love Momma Africa. I live in Tanzania and have been here since 2020. This definitely feels more like my home than America has ever felt.

The video was perfectly made
Zimbabwe is indeed beautiful
I felt so emotional watching this entire video. As a Zimbabwean who grew up outside of Zimbabwe, I cried after realising how undoubtedly BEAUTIFUL my home country is. From the pottery, the music, the people, and my word, to the breathtaking landscapes. This was brilliantly filmed. You are greatly appreciated for sharing such a masterpiece with us...

Listening to you is so therapeutic. Your voice is very soothing. As I watched and listened to you talk, I never wanted it to stop 🙏🏾
Gasp! Your videos are SO well made! Every detail is perfect. Thank you so so much. 💜
I never imaged it was so beautiful! As an Afro American, my husband and I were looking to go to South Africa as our first trip to the continent. We are now considering Zimbabwe. In addition we did not know Vic Falls border that country, which is added bonus. We just need to figure out room, transport costs, etc. if possible could you post your complete itinerary used? It would be helpful. Do you recommend any travel agent we could use?
*WHAT A GREAT VIDEO OF YOUR RETURN TO ZIMBABWE* Thanks for sharing it with us all.
And, may I congratulate you on beautifully spoken presentation.
Victoria Falls is best appreciated from the Zimbabwean side.
Did you know Michael Jackson, Oprah Winfrey & Elizabeth Taylor visited The Victoria Falls and sampled the most beautiful & delightful hotels at The Vic. Falls.
This video is so professionally done - not over the top & very gently & pleasantly narrated.
Thank you. I'll be passing it onto many other Zimbos in the diaspora. I read some of the posts and felt the emotions well up.
Thank you once again.👌😢.
a lot of people just go to SA because its more developed and their economyis better but my country zim is agem and we just need people to showcase it better
When you visit Zimbabwe l also recommend you go to the eastern veld so chimanimani, nyanga or mutarazi. Great Zimbabwe, chinhoyi caves and matopos. Not forgetting the safaris. You will love it, it’s a gorgeous country
@rojamillerover
Yes, they are beautiful tourist spots, I've holidayed at all those places when I lived in Zim.
Snap!! Was also born in Masvingo/Fort Vic.many moons ago, but just like millions of other Zimbos, I left for greener pastures at the height of the political & economic turmoil decades ago & have no intentions of returning anytime soon. I've moved on - sadly.
But wish the best for all left behind.
I spoke to someone recently who visited Zim., & was told things have deteriorated very much in all spheres - sadly 😔😪.
Beautifully captured. Oh my! Everything!!...Oh, the part with the red clay...and seeing you drink from the cup! Thank you for reminding us about the beauty of our home and our people❤
Just found this page, and I'm loving it! I'm a white American man, and my wife is a black South African woman, and your relationship reminds me of ours :)
