The funniest part of these videos are that the restaurants actually reach out to Gordon for help and still have the balls to make it seem like he’s the enemy and will be the downfall of them lol
Apparently sometimes on shows like this, production actually reaches out to restaurants to be like "hey you wanna be on this show?", but it's still their fault for saying yes and then being surprised when Gordon's like "this sucks."

i do have a lot of respect for how much sonja, the sebastian's waitress, seemed to trust and like sebastian. she was significantly more nervous of gordon than of her boss. she was actually seeking comfort and reassurance from sebastian, where most of these people clearly treat their staff horribly (and you can tell). he was delusional and egotistical about his food and restaurant, but at least he made a safe place for his staff.
As Sebastian's mother would say, I'm embarrassed!
On the episode Lou said watch out for pans flying when he gets upset so it probably wasn't entirely safe but I get your gist

You know what? Yes, it is "his opinion", but people develop their opinions about restaurants and then based on those opinions decide whether they want to return to that restaurant or even go there in the first place. If you want to stay in business, and from what I understand, the restaurant business is a VERY tough business to succeed at, you need to make sure that you can take criticism and use that criticism to get better.
You know what they say. Opinions are like pocketbooks. Everybody's got one.
Its not an opinion at all. Food has objective elements one can evaluate. Its not am opinion to point out low quality ingredients are low quality or badly frozen overpriced food is bad or that a dish is jot seasoned. These are cold hars facts about the quality of this food
An opinion is smth like "i dont like pizza" not "this dough is raw and the pizza is bland"
@@DimT670 perhaps. There is some opinion in saying that the pizza is bland as it involves a subjective judgement. That said, if everyone's opinion tends to be that your food sucks and there is another professional hired to help you make it better, maybe consider his advice.

This was the first Kitchen Nightmares episode I ever watched. Genuinely felt bad for the restaurant eventually closing, the whole situation didn't seem like a complete shitshow from start to finish.
I can't stand people who think they're rappers and go around repeating the same verses over and over and over and over again. I went to high school with a guy who did that, I'm about to be 33 and I still can't get some of the garbage verses he'd repeat out of my head
