Yes! I’m not sure where I first heard about this (might’ve been on Good Eats or something similar). I’ve been cooking bacon in the oven since 2015… total game changer for me, since I could only cook it in the microwave before that (can’t stand the hot grease popping and stinging me while trying to fry in a pan). Bacon from the microwave is ok, but it just doesn’t get it as crispy as cooking in the oven.
I know this is an older video, but it's the one I keep returning to over and over; it's the best, most simple method to cook large batches of crisp bacon with a minimum of cleanup. Thank you for your post.
My first time making bacon in the over. I just subscribed to your blog. I pray 🙏 i get great videos. I have watched alot of different videos and yours won thank you blessings 🙌 🙏
I've been oven baking bacon for awhile. I don't have a rack and that looks like such a good idea. I also bake eggs in the oven on a sheet pan, so easy to make bacon and eggs for the hungry masses. I have 4 sons.
Thanks Maya! The only way I cook bacon is on the oven so the rack is definitely a game changer! All I gotta do now is learn how to make a bacon weave lol
I cook my bacon in the oven too with the same pan with rack. Instead of foil, I us parchment paper cut so it goes up sides and also helps direct fat into a container. My added trick is to spray rack with spray coconut oil top and bottom and use a small vegetable brush to clean rack. Makes for super easy clean up. I also save some of fat in the fridge for other cooking.
I don't use a rack, and double each strip over so I can cook twice as much bacon at a time. When done take it off the tray quickly and drain on paper towels. I put it in a plastic bag in the freezer and when I get the munchies I take out a piece and eat it cold!
Some things to try is drizzle a little real maple syrup over it half way through and another to try is crumbling some brown sugar over the bacon . YUM!
I agree ! I was oven cooking my bacon until I noticed what it was doing to the inside of my oven! The mess was incredible & I hate a dirty oven! Had to go back to pan frying...
Have you cooked bacon in the oven this way before, or do you do it differently?
@@Tashi-tect so glad to hear that! ❤️

I have Cooked it this way before, but it pops all over my oven. Had to reclean it. It is fast. Just don't like the mess left in my oven.
Looks easy!
Love it!!

Thank you for sharing those tips, Patricia!
Wow. I'll never prep bacon any other way. It took me your technique and 73 years to get bacon right. Thank you Mrs. Yum.
S’all good baby boy!

I always cook mine in the oven. Looking forward to seeing your techniques.
Yes, my favorite way to cook it for sure!!
Thank you!! It worked. The bacon came out perfect!!
You’re very welcome, James! Hope you’ll subscribe if you haven’t already for more easy recipes :)
Thank you for your time. I'm trying this is the morning. 🙂
Awesome! How was it?
I cook mine in the oven too and save the grease just like you do. I haven't used the rack yet so I'll do that next time for sure!
Let me know what you think!
@@WholesomeYum OK, wat about the oven mess ?
Pre heat oven first?
Anything with bacon is awesome
Thank you for your recipes, I've just learnt how to make bacon this way and I like drizzling substitute honey over-the-top yum😋
Thank you, Lynda! Sounds delicious!
So excited to try

Where can I find the rack and pan combo? Local stores don’t carry it.
Hi, here is the one I use: amzn.to/3neXisG
The BCLT is a BLT where one piece of the bread is cheddar cheese toast.
How interesting, I'll have to try that sometime.
Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
What about the oven mess? Am I doing something wrong? It was absolutely horrible! Had to run the self-clean cycle before using the oven again.

Bacon on sandwiches and of course, with eggs!
One lady said no rack because it is hard to clean
It's not hard to clean with the rack I have (linked in description) but it would be if your rack is not nonstick.
B L T sandwich
Yummm!
BLT’s today!
My fave!!
Dust with flour before you put in oven
Spray oil the rack and bacon will not stick.
Thanks for the tip, Nora! Mine stuck a little but was still pretty easy to remove.
I hate the clean up of this. The rack is awful. I think I prefer the parchment paper.
