In this video, I bring out a new link to download and install Google Maps in Honda's digipad, as the previous link I had shared is not working anymore. Along with direct download and installation in digipad I also show how to sideload the app onto digipad using a laptop/PC.

Try reinstalling it.
And also check with default maps if your GPS is working with that or not.

Since this is an older version of gmaps, it does not support live traffic updates. But I am working on trying to get it. Will update on my channel as soon as I find anything.

Sygic cannot be installed on Digipad 1 as it is no more supported.
what are the advantages of installing individual apps on digipad vs android auto, can you use Google navigation and simultaneously use yt music without premium subscription?
Firstly, android auto cannot be installed in Digipad 1.0. Hence installing Google Maps separately is required. And also TH-cam Music also cannot be installed in Digipad 1.0.

Kaam to karta hai par achhe se nahi karta. Bohot dheere chalega, naa ke barabar. Fast use nahi kar sakte.

I have installed Google map on my digipad..it's pretty cool..can you please update traffic data as well though I use hotspot it's not giving real traffic data
Traffic data is provided by google servers. And it needs a good internet connection to get updated in real time. Try checking it with alternate hotspot to see if its proper. Also you can try reinstalling the app.

You dont need to add memory card to use Gmaps. It runs on the digipad's internal storage itself.

Traffic is shown with active Internet connectivity. Try reconnecting internet before opening google maps.

It does not. Digpad supports only older version of google maps. Hence no voice navigation.
Google Maps downloaded as advised but its not working, it giving error"Network Faillur-application required working data." but wifi is working. I able to use other browsers, but map not working
Seems like the app has not downloaded completely. Try downloading it again exactly the same way as shown in the video and reinstall it. If it still doesn't work make a video and send it to me on TravelTECH Facebook page, I will try to solve.

Hi everytime I try your link. It says this security certificate is not from trusted authority. Even when I push continue multiple times. Download fails
Try the alternative method. Using the same link, download the app on your mobile or laptop/pc, then transfer it to digipad using pendrive/sdcard, and install using es file manager.

That might be an error with the car GPS. Try using default iGo Maps to see if it catches location

Honda has disabled installation of apps in Digipad 2.
Why digipad malfunctioning like from settings it comes to main screen automatically pls let me know abt that
Try resetting the digipad to its factory settings. Maybe that will solve the problem.

Make sure the car is in open space with no tall buildings or trees nearby. The car needs clear access to sky to get a GPS signal.

No you cannot use usb drive to load maps. The navigation/maps in your car is designed to detect it only from the sd card slot. It wont recognise if you try to use it from usb device.
If you want to install the app, then yes you can use usb device like pendrive to install the google maps app.

Yes ofcourse. Create a wifi hotspot in your smartphone and connect to digipad with wifi dongle

You cannot install google play services because Google itself has removed support for playservices in its older android versions like the one in digipad.

Hi, is it still supported? I got a 2018 jazz which has a digitab based on android 4.x. I tried downloading the similar version of gmaps apk and while installing, it says could not be installed.
Try downloading gmaps which is specific to your android version. Just do a Google search and you will find it.

There is more versions available on the site, can you please check and let me know if those can be downloaded
No they cannot be. Only the version shown in the video is compatible with digipad. Any higher version will cause an error while installing.

Last thing is there anywhay possible we can hear both music player through Bluetooth and navigation together, i am facing issue where i can only use either navigation or music through Bluetooth.
In order to 'download' it, you need an active internet connection. But to install it, you dont.
And yes, if you are playing music from your smartphone connected to digipad via bluetooth, it will keep playing in the background while you use navigation on the main screen.
My digiped 1 on Honda WRV 2019, is supplied with igo maps nevigation on memory card in maps card slot. Would i will have to add a new ad card in media slot and download google mas on it . What would happen to igo maps nevigation system. Any conflict?
No conflict. And also you don't need to add an extra sd card. Google maps will install in the built-in storage.

Amazing work on digipad. However, I am unable to change songs (next/previous) while using gmaps. Have to do it by opening phone and changing song everytime. Is there a solution to this? Thanks!

Apple car play can be used only in Digipad 2 as of now. Cannot be used in Digipad 1. In DG2, comnect usb cable from iPhone to digipad to activate car play.

I guess not. Digipad 1.0 first came out in 2017. So tue system will not be compatible.

No change on that. There is canbus cable available which you can connect to digipad and over ride handbrake warning. Working on that.

After installing digipad is not recognising the location though location services are turned on in settings. This is 2017 Honda city. Pls help.
Try resetting the Digipad and reinstall Google Maps again.

I have 2 Samsung Micro SD cards, 16 and 128, both wont work when I cope data on it and insert in media slot, pl; help 128 Gb runs FATex and 16 runs on fat 32, why is this an issue, pl help
Try formatting it in NTFS format. Make sure you are inserting the sd card in media slot and not map slot in the Digipad. I personally use SanDisk memory cards, and they work very well.

Only thing works are my 2 16gb pen drives

No way to update android on Digipad. Only Honda can update it, but they will not.

As of now, if you are getting Digipad 1.0, then you can go through my my channel and upgrade digipad apps. You can start using it for a while and then if you find it enough for your needs, you need not upgrade to aftermarket unit.

There is no hidden menu in Digipad 2.0 as of now. Its only for Digipad 1.0

I have mistakenly inserted navigation sd card in media slot. now it is not coming out. what should i do. please help
Try using a sim ejection tool to remove it. If it doesn't come out, take the car to your nearest Honda Service Centre and get it removed.
@@traveltechyoutube Luckily i used small twitcher and it came out but now when I put it in right place it says missing Igo folder when I launch the navigation. I do not see any damage on card what should I do?
Try removing and reinserting back again. Check for physical damage. Also as last option, reset digipad to check again. If nothing works out, the sd card may need to be replaced.

GPS won't work near tall buildings and nearby trees etc. Take the car outside in open area with no buildings and trees nearby and check

Your navigation card works with the inbuilt iGo navigation app in the digipad. It has no relation to the new google maps app if you install it. And no need to insert any other memory card. You can install it directly from internet and start using it.
