@@traveltechyoutube 2018 November. I think all these cards are similarly configured irrespective of the year of purchase. I have the same SanDisk 8GB cards as yours. So, the software versions should also be the same.

Find a fellow WRV owner in your city. Im sure there will be plenty. You can approach the Service Centre to find some. Get a backup from their sdcard and put it on yours.

No. It cannot be updated that way. Also, the support for maps sdcard has been removed by Navi extras app. So you can't update it anymore. Its simply outdated now.

There hasn't been any update since past 4 years. Its no use trying to update the sd card. Naviextras has responded in an email saying they wont be providing any updates and only Honda can do that. And Honda wont invest time and money into providing updates to their older model cars. So better leave the pursuit of trying to update.

I think so, but I havent tried on a mac yet. Just search for mac os version of naviextras toolbox. If thats available for download, then it should work.
2017 City with digipad clearly has IR remote receiver. Any idea where to get the remote? I also checked remote codes from Logitech harmony But there is nothing that works. I also used IR codes for Blaupunkt as this company acquired PSS. but failed. Ours is chauffeur driven so IR remote is good to have.

You cannot. Honda company is supposed to provide update, but since the Digipad and iGO maps are outdated, and even WRV model has been stopped, they wont provide any update. First option is to buy from Honda showroom. They may charge from 6K to 8K rupees Second option is to get from someone who has changed their car system. You can ask in any facebook wrv groups and you will find someone ready to sell. Third option and best option is to not get memory card, and start using Google maps.

Thank you Mr. Veera for appreciating my videos. I hope you are a subscriber of my channel. Regarding the problem you said, the default navigation in digipad is not up to date. So it has some problems. You can try resetting the digipad once and check if it works out for you.
Hi. The Naviextras map update tool has removed the support for Honda Digipad. It is not available anymore. It was only available at the time of making this video.
Here are your options: 1. But it again from the Honda showroom at a premium cost, upwards of 5K+. 2. Get it from someone who has replaced their Digipad with a new system and their SD card is lying waste now. 3. Stop using the iGo maps and start using Google Maps in Digipad for a better experience. 4. Change your system to an android car unit.

The hardware is too slow and outdated to support newer versions of android. Also, trying to install a new OS might brick the device. Hence focussing on making it better with the existing version.
I would say it is the only way to update the igo maps. There is no other alternative method. And on contacting Honda they have informed that there won't be any future updates to the unit. Hence what you can find in this method is going to be the last.
Yes. Also do consider using Google maps on digipad, since the 'maps' are updated to latest 2021 year. I have made detailed video on how to do that on this channel. Check out if you are interested. Also an alternative is Waze Maps. Check that out too.
Maybe the server might be down. You can wait and try after a while. If it continues to show the same error, then they have probably stopped the updating service.

Nope. You can restore your original maps sd card given by honda. If you try to copy to some other sd card, digipad will not detect it. Check if your original sd card can be restored.

Oh, there must be some error in either card reader or the sd card itself. What you can try is to get another fellow Honda car owner to give you his maps sd card, so that you can take a backup up from it and restore your original card.

Not just City, you can try anyone with WRV, Amaze etc. Also, check with your Honda Service manager. They get cars with sd card for service all the time. Request to borrow one card for backup. They might oblige
The only way to update the sd card is via Honda Service. But since Honda itself has never given any updates and stopped future updates as well, there is no way to get paid updates as well. Next best option is to use Google Maps in Digipad, which is constantly updated everytime. Second best option is to get a third party AVN system installed like Pioneer, Sony etc which will support updates.
To restore the data you need another sat nav card, using which you need to create a backup in the application and then using that backup, restore your original card.
You may have to borrow the card from someone, either from dealership(if u have good contact with them) or a fellow Honda car owner. It would take less than 10min to create a backup and then return back their card.
Hi. If you have lost your sd card, you cannot restore the backup to any other sd card. Only the original sd card works with the digipad. Your only option is to buy a new sd card from the dealership or from someone who has a spare card. Second option is to start using google maps and stop using iGo maps for navigation.
am having the new Honda city 2019model. The navigation available in the info entertainment system is not working. It's really very bad. Its giving the error "Missing or incomplete folder : /sdcard/IGO" Can anyone suggest me what to do for the same?
Have you tried contacting your local service centre for this problem? There might be an issue with the maps sd card. It might be damaged/corrupted. Show it to Honda service and find the cause for that error.

If you know someone who has taken a backup then you can try restoring it from them. Or if you can borrow someones maps sdcard, make its backup and then try restoring it to your original sd card.

If you have lost the card, then there is no other way except to buy a new one. Copying the files to a new sd card will not work. Alternative is, you cam start using google maps. It is much better in every way compared to iGo maps.
NO, cloning the memory will not work as it has a built in feature which disables it once its cloned. the digipad will not detect the cloned memory card.

So you said you copied the files right? I recommend that you first create a backup from your friend's memory card using the method I have shown in the video. Then use your original memory card to restore that backup. I think that should correct the issue.
I connected my SD card in laptop. However it is not showing in naviextras application. It is showing in device not connected. How can resolve this issue? My car is Toyota Innova.
Latest version is 2020 Q3 I supppse, but the access to it has been restricted by PSS. If you want the latest update you have to contact PSS (Premium Sound Solutions) the company which made Digipad.
@@traveltechyoutube I have contacted PSS a couple of months back for an updated map and their replay was "contact Honda for map update" :( Honda is charging around Rs 1500 for map updates.
That is fine I guess, because even before the map updates costed 1000 rupees. So if you are really interested and use iGo maps regularly in the car, then its worth getting that update.

Make sure the car has access to direct open sky, with no buildings or trees around and then check for GPS. If it still doesn't get a signal, there might be a problem with the GPS sensor which will need to be checked in the Honda Service Center.

No you cannot. iGo maps on digipad works only with the original maps sd card provided by Honda. If you use alternate sd card by saving backup it will not work. Now since your card is showing error, I recommend that you start using Google Maps on digipad, as it is updated and much better. But if you want iGo maps only, then only option is to buy a new card from Honda dealership.

If you have already taken a backup of your original nav card, then you can restore it back as I have shown in the video. If you haven't taken a backup, then you cant. You have 2 options: 1. Find some Honda owner with original nav card, take backup from his card and restore yours using that. 2. Stop using igo maps and start using google which are extremely better and updated compared to igo maps.

Try getting gps signal in an open area with no nearby tall buildings or trees. If it stillsm doesn't work then show it to your nearest Honda Service Centre.
Hello Arjun, If you have lost your iGo maps sd card, then there is no option other than buying a new one from the honda dealership. But make sure you buy only if you use iGo maps a lot while travelling. Otherwise you can use Google Maps on Digipad whihc is much more faster, efficient and updated compared to the stock iGo maps. If you still have the original card, then you can use the restore option in the software to make it work back again. You just need to borrow iGo maps sd card from someone, take its backup on the naviextras software and then use that backup to restore your original sd card.
If you have lost it then there is no other option other than buying it from dealership. But why to buy when you can use google maps in digipad? I have shown in detail how to install and use google maps and also various tricks within that. So there is no need to buy a new card if you have lost it.

Navigation memory is available in Honda Service Centre. Contact your nearest Honda outlet to get more info. It might probably cost around 5-10K.

No. Honda has removed the ability to install external apps in Digipad 2.0. It can only be done in DG1.0

The hardware is too slow and outdated to support newer versions of android. Also, trying to install a new OS might brick the device. Hence focussing on making it better with the existing version.
What is the update? I mean what does the update improve it still says 2016 update in Dec 2020.. is this update helpful in any way?
I would say it is the only way to update the igo maps. There is no other alternative method. And on contacting Honda they have informed that there won't be any future updates to the unit. Hence what you can find in this method is going to be the last.

Yes. Also do consider using Google maps on digipad, since the 'maps' are updated to latest 2021 year. I have made detailed video on how to do that on this channel. Check out if you are interested.

Maybe the server might be down. You can wait and try after a while. If it continues to show the same error, then they have probably stopped the updating service.

Nope. You can restore your original maps sd card given by honda. If you try to copy to some other sd card, digipad will not detect it. Check if your original sd card can be restored.

Oh, there must be some error in either card reader or the sd card itself. What you can try is to get another fellow Honda car owner to give you his maps sd card, so that you can take a backup up from it and restore your original card.

Not just City, you can try anyone with WRV, Amaze etc. Also, check with your Honda Service manager. They get cars with sd card for service all the time. Request to borrow one card for backup. They might oblige

No. Free update hasn't been provided by Honda. No plans for any future updates as well.

The only way to update the sd card is via Honda Service. But since Honda itself has never given any updates and stopped future updates as well, there is no way to get paid updates as well.
Next best option is to use Google Maps in Digipad, which is constantly updated everytime.
Second best option is to get a third party AVN system installed like Pioneer, Sony etc which will support updates.

To restore the data you need another sat nav card, using which you need to create a backup in the application and then using that backup, restore your original card.

You may have to borrow the card from someone, either from dealership(if u have good contact with them) or a fellow Honda car owner. It would take less than 10min to create a backup and then return back their card.

Hi. If you have lost your sd card, you cannot restore the backup to any other sd card. Only the original sd card works with the digipad. Your only option is to buy a new sd card from the dealership or from someone who has a spare card. Second option is to start using google maps and stop using iGo maps for navigation.

Have you tried contacting your local service centre for this problem? There might be an issue with the maps sd card. It might be damaged/corrupted. Show it to Honda service and find the cause for that error.

If you know someone who has taken a backup then you can try restoring it from them. Or if you can borrow someones maps sdcard, make its backup and then try restoring it to your original sd card.

NO, cloning the memory will not work as it has a built in feature which disables it once its cloned. the digipad will not detect the cloned memory card.

So you said you copied the files right? I recommend that you first create a backup from your friend's memory card using the method I have shown in the video. Then use your original memory card to restore that backup. I think that should correct the issue.

Latest version is 2020 Q3 I supppse, but the access to it has been restricted by PSS. If you want the latest update you have to contact PSS (Premium Sound Solutions) the company which made Digipad.

Make sure the car has access to direct open sky, with no buildings or trees around and then check for GPS. If it still doesn't get a signal, there might be a problem with the GPS sensor which will need to be checked in the Honda Service Center.

No you cannot. iGo maps on digipad works only with the original maps sd card provided by Honda. If you use alternate sd card by saving backup it will not work. Now since your card is showing error, I recommend that you start using Google Maps on digipad, as it is updated and much better. But if you want iGo maps only, then only option is to buy a new card from Honda dealership.

There is some sort of a code embedded into the sd card which the software authenticates to access the maps. I haven't been able to identify it.

If you have already taken a backup of your original nav card, then you can restore it back as I have shown in the video. If you haven't taken a backup, then you cant. You have 2 options:
1. Find some Honda owner with original nav card, take backup from his card and restore yours using that.
2. Stop using igo maps and start using google which are extremely better and updated compared to igo maps.

Try getting gps signal in an open area with no nearby tall buildings or trees. If it stillsm doesn't work then show it to your nearest Honda Service Centre.

If you still have the original card, then you can use the restore option in the software to make it work back again. You just need to borrow iGo maps sd card from someone, take its backup on the naviextras software and then use that backup to restore your original sd card.
