especially with a faster actuator.. coarse tuning for quick placement and fine tuning for precision. You'd need a quick script to do the calculations and convert it to lens positions. Cool project. Glad to see the safety gear too
another addition could be a targeting mode, when the laser is deliberately putting out below 1% of maximum power so that you see the dot where the more powerful beam will go once you feel like it
Was thinking the same. Staying at home only concern him, but getting outside is puting a very high risk on others eyes... high power comes with high responsibilities
3:35 How can this be 80W? For those who know what an 80W laser looks like, how to get it, and what energy it requires to operate or cool it, this is nonsense.
No, it doesn't even have 10W... 5W at most, and that's maybe by playing it. Then why are you lying in the video? The 532nm laser is about 80mW and the 440-445nm is about 5W. Learn to distinguish between electrical power and laser power.

Hey, can you tell me where you bought the PWM control module? If I use a 24V DeWalt battery for the drill, can I also use it normally for the laser module? Thanks, bro.
That 80W laser is probably a 7W and your goggles should be red. Green is for red lasers. Could be wrong about the glasses but it looks a bit weird to me. I had that same motor-switch on something and some eletrics dude said "naw thats now how you do that, you need PWM and blaa. Nice to see someone else keep it simple!!!
That 80 watt laser is an 80 watt laser. It's called the laser tree because it has about seven diodes all focused down into a single point. It's about $1000 and mine can burn through wood three quarters of an inch thick with one pass.
if you build a large one with a huge energy source and then install it on top of a plane....from a height of 5000 meters you can set fire to whatever you want on the ground.....
You do not need a pwm module. Just use the negative wire from the cooling fan. Tap into it and connect to the yellow wire. Put a trigger switch there. Boom, free pwm. And if you get a 12volt laser you can power it with a 25 volt lipo, or an adapter and a 24 volt DC wall plug. And then toss all those optics and get a good column laser lens for 15 bucks, make sure it is in an uncoated metal housing, plasric or coated will smoke and ruin your laser. And dont get one with a 9mm focus range. It will fit neatly into the laser houseing, just adjust it for focus distances. Now its pocket size. Just do not run the battery too far down. It is also a good idea to build a safty into it. A 2 way switch, one side power on, middle is off and other side is power and laser on. Add a push button to turn on laser with switch in first position. And third position is power and constant on. I say this with a working one in my hand.
Can you do a test on all the different colors to see if they all effected the same way . Or if one some colors reflecti or repell the laser light. 💥💯👏👏👏👍
If you placed a bunch of high powered lasers onto a a cylinder, one circle slightly larger than the other circle, facing one direction, and the pointed angle is set that all the lasers hit 200 feet away, exactly 200 feet, until all the lasers meet at one point, shouldn't it do alot of damage?
good day. need to make a casing on top, so that there is no reflected laser beam from the lenses, this is for eye protection. the idea works, I also plan to assemble the same version only with several powerful laser modules (130 W each) combined into one beam using lenses.
I converted a mini laser module into a metal engraving and wood cutting, the same process with more lens but not in straight line, positioned at critical angles inside a pipe, the first lens was tilted 45 degrees, and the laser output from that went into another lens tilted at 55 degrees, similarly more lens and it was a huge trail & error experiment, but finally I made it and it was few years back.
Why don’t you use It with a backpack battery I know you can probably custom make one with small batteries. Designed for scooters, I’ve seen a lot of space games with mining concepts. Have three of those little lasers that you got or heavy duty laser. Then put it on a rotating head, where it does a kind of like a circular cut but all near pin pointing into one area, center mass. Then try to cut a cinder block if you can cut a center block in half then you can cut harder rocks, and square cuts great for mining. Don’t worry too much about death or cutting every rock the same diameter as a cinder block concept wise you’re trying to almost break it into you smaller pieces to be excavated out. Each piece should be a size of a small golf ball to a baseball if you can as they goal. Bigger pieces down the road because you have to worry about gathering the material in the most conventional way. Another idea of some kind of Pulse wavelaser which breaks the material Like they used for kidney stones. But I think that’s more sound. You’ll probably make a lot of money. It’s not how fast you cut your material; when it’s new invention start small and go big later or faster cutting.. Right? With SpaceX trying to get to the moon, I start mining asteroids and rocks on the moon. Where trying to shoot for Mars anyways.
I know this probably has nothing to do with this video but I’ve never changed the batteries on my tv remote lol they are completely dead but I bring them back to life by opening the back of the remote placing my thumbs on the batteries (while still in the remote) and rolling the batteries really fast with my thumbs (one thumb rolling up and the other down and vise versa) and the remote come back to life lol

Can this laser cut metal???? If so it would be a great laser welder project, maybe cheaper too.... The power outfit must be around 2000 watt, this should be hot enough to melt steel wire.... The purpose of laser welder provide accurate neat welding cache plus eliminate use of shielding gas like carbon dioxide, argon or helium.... I also suspect it would requires cooling device for power supply to prevent overheat.... Particular machines are exist however they very expansive and too huge to occupy little spaces so such welder deems unpractical for small confined spaces....
Yes, a powerful laser can cut metal, but it would need to be a high-wattage laser, typically around 1000 to 2000 watts, to effectively cut or weld metal like steel. For welding, you'd also need precise control over power and a cooling system to prevent overheating. You're right, traditional laser welders can be expensive and large, but creating a smaller, more affordable version could be a game-changer for small spaces. It would also eliminate the need for shielding gases like CO2 or argon, which is a huge advantage!
Yes, adding more lenses can help improve focus, but it depends on the type and arrangement of the lenses. More lenses can help refine the focal point and control the beam, but using too many could affect the intensity or cause other issues. It’s all about finding the right balance!
Whenever I see these homemade laser guns, is it bad that I want to see them tested on a rack of uncooked pork ribs wrapped in denim? I feel like such a test would be worth it to highlight how dangerous these lasers are
