Steve, born in 61 in Providence Ri and i really enjoy watching you because i always relate to your thinking and mostly your memories. Good stuff… keep on trucking man! It’s like we’re just hanging out. Cameo baby!
Yo Steve- there’s a magical used Korean Ovation 12 string with natural maple top amd large bowl back hanging on the wall at Guitar Center here in Akron, OH for under $300. I believe it said comes w/ OHSC too. Got some players wear but it churns and chimes like nobody’s business. I’d buy it in a second but I’m saving for a Guild F-512 - the most beautiful 12 string ever made in my humble opinion. P.S. your Farrington rules bro. That’s an acoustic that dreams are made of.
Also, I bought a Martin D-35 in 1976 with the Blue Hardshell case. Then I was in a guitar store here in Denver, and they were doing a giveaway, but you had to stay to win. I could stay any longer and was about to leave, and my ticket # was called, and it was an all Naytho Fender CD 60 mahogany that acoustic that plays and sounds super.
14:29 i just bought an Art & Lutherie roadhouse parlor new for 799.00 i love everything about it it's got a solid ceder top and Canadian cherry laminated back and sides with the basic fishman preamp system inside. i ws considering a fender or gretsch parlor but i really loved the fact that the guitar is made by 100% Canadian craftsman using 99% Canadian materials . i cant support Chinese slave factories anymore......but that's just me. the framus is lovely i just wish it was made domestically id grab one of those
I have an Ovation 1615 Pacemaker 12-String that I bought in 1973 for $300. Still plays very well; just has a couple of cracks near the bridge but doesn't affect the tuning.
I’ve had 2 Japanese made Takamine acoustics that were the most perfectly flawless guitars of the 50 or so I’ve owned over the years. Only other ones in my collection to come close are my Eastman electrics in terms of quality craftsmanship and playability.
I’ve got a lefty anniversary Ovation, setup righty, the way I bought it. Actually, I didn’t notice it was lefty… till I tried to play sitting… and it wanted to be a lap steel. Also, have a Kramer Ferrington nylon string guitar with electronics. Yes, I bought because it was rare… right, maybe now but not then.
I play mostly acoustic guitar. I am a huge Yamaha fan. I have an LL6M ARE, an LS6, and an FG830. Great guitars. Also, I have some Alvarez guitars. My AD66SHB mahogany top guitar is money.
Loved that Furch, I have a Baritone from them and tried others also, really great built quality guitars. Also that Framus, almost regret I didn't get it when found with around 500 $ new, that's gorgeous, but I have too many guitars I guess...
I guess my first guitar was a tad bit better than yours, i bought it in 1982 at a department store called Tepe's. It was from a company called Global, the finish on it was actually pretty good but finger board was paint and inlays were white paint. Tuners were really bad too. But I learned technique and how the pick and made chords and maybe learned my first song on it but I can't remember, so a couple years later I thought it had to look like Eddie van halens guitar so I painted it lol. I still have it somewhere but probably won't ever do anything with it. So move ahead in the future I now own many very nice guitars. Thanks for your videos I look forward to watching them all.
Dude , how many guitars do you usually have around you in a given day ? Life is good 👍. Merry Christmas @ Happy New Year. Probably going to all need radiation suits but none the less , Rock on.
Absolute🎃cool video and strangeness of SFB. I have a dirty little secret HD28 that is really big time seasoned. Thank you for whoever gifted this fabulous subscriptoin and Happy Thanksgiving🍂

RIP China Mike. You are missed
I thought that my 1980s Korean “Regal” acoustic was the worst guitar ever made. And then I met the Cameo.
Just got a Martin D-18 and couldn’t be happier, great guitars Steve

My friend has an Ovation acoustic exactly like yours; late '78
Happy Thanksgiving Steve
If i had it my way, id go with either Ovation or Guild on a 12 string
Love the explorer acoustic.
Most any Framus guitars are well up there in prices ... so I'm very surprised.
Now you bring out the Furch... oops, Larivae, they sound great.
