So cool to hear 2 guys talking about carrying on generational businesses. I dated someone with a very successful family business (highlights magazine for children) and so much of the dynamics you two are talking about were things my ex partner went through with his family.
A fascinating interview. I like your interview technique where you pick up on what the interviewee is taking about and ask follow-up questions (rather than just going through a list of pre-prepared questions, which is what you tend to get on TV nowadays).

I have purchased many Martin Guitars since 1979. A great American company, guitar builder but most important Chris Martin a nice gentleman. I've had the fortune to meet him at NAMM in Anaheim and talk to him. A living American legend for the whole world.
Huh. This was actually more interesting than I thought it would be -- as conservative acoustic guitars really isn't my thing -- but I've seen pretty much every video Andertons has posted for the last three years or so, including the last round of US factory tours (obviously including Martin)... This was really quite nice. Good job, interesting conversation.
Wow I was sceptical in the first minutes viewing of this video but finally I was so impressed by Christian Martin’s openness and depth of insight to his journey to lead his family’s business. In the meantime they have continued to make great guitars, he helped them survive.
Great interview, it's makes me want to have one. Actually, I just bought a Sweetwater exclusive, vintage Martin E10-OM. I would like a D28, but it's not possible right now. Once again, great interview, Lee.
Interesting that Chris pushed Outward Bound. I was sent as a 16 y/o (for likely obvious reasons)… it’s life changing indeed; a lot more so than ‘let’s know each other outside of work’. Everyone should do it.
Great, great interview. I need to go to Martin guitars and do the tour again. I haven't been there in a while since I live not to far from there. Also, it was great to hear Craig Thatcher play. I've seen Craig play live a lot over the years, and have gotten to know him as well since he goes to the same church as I do. I enjoy all the videos you post. Jerry Elder
Was gutted when it wasn't former Derby County striker Chris Martin, but relieved it wasn't purveyor of inoffensive mum and dad friendly music, Chris Martin.
Martin guitars are the best!!! No other acoustic guitar sounds like Martin, there are many copies that try and emulate but nowhere near as good as the original!!
Chris Martin! But not that Chris Martin, the Martin Guitars Chris Martin. NO NOT THAT CHRIS MARTIN, the ONE THAT RUNS THE COMPANY NOT THE ONE THAT PLAYS MARTIN GUITARS
I think my Streetmaster 000-15M is the best sounding and aging guitar Martin have ever made but they just haven’t realised it yet 😉 Better than that D28 thing they keep touting. Buy one while you still can! 😜
Captain meets Bruce Springsteen… of shipping and receiving at the Andertons in Guildford location Next week we will have Robert Smith on to show us how to play smells like teen Spirit. Because Robert is an unemployed 20-year-old man who is living with his mom and definitely not a famous musician from the cure”
What a treat! This is when Andertons is best, telling these great stories of the instrument makers we all adore! Thank you Mr.Lee!
I read Chris Martin and thought you were sitting down with the guy from Coldplay for a second 🤣. This is way cooler.
Thank god!
Bruuuh, that was cold AF 😂😂
Sameee lmao

This was a fantastic interview Lee. Thank you. And I could sit through it without ads.
Really awesome interview I love Martin guitars cant imagine meeting the CEO
If I met him, I’m sure I’d tap him for a discount 😉
That was a great interview. That Koa guitar has a beautiful sound. Well, they all sound lovely, but that one got me.
“Look at the stars…
Look how they shine for you…” 🎶
Wait. Wait. Wrong one. 😬
I like it more when you just have good conversations. This is great and your side rant on the 40th was great too. More long form "shop talk" please.
Please let him know Clocks is one of my all time favorite songs. Thank you
nice/good interview Lee... enjoyed it

That was a great interview. You have a great channel. After that interview I know my next acoustic guitar will be a D-18. Keep up the great work
What a great intro!
Such an interesting conversation and obvious immediate rapport between you two keepers of family legacies. No pressure. :). Thanks for sharing!!!
That was an interesting chat and I loved the traditional tune at the end.
I use to buy Darco funky strings years ago. Awesome interview
Who knew the owned Fibes …Get ready for a massive acoustic folk revival when The `Dylan movie’ hits
I love my Martin BC-16E acoustic bass 🙏🏻
Best video on this channel. More interviews with family businesses: d'addario, etc
Was gutted when it wasn't former Derby County striker Chris Martin, but relieved it wasn't purveyor of inoffensive mum and dad friendly music, Chris Martin.
Love love love my Martins!
Wonderful!!!
Still play a Martin Goya. Had it for decades. It's my profile pic.
Beautiful intro
WoW, cool guest.
Really love it. Amazing!
What's the name of the theme played in the outro?
Please invite other brand CEOs. But don't invite Gibson, they'll send your letters from lawyer.
AUTHENTIC!!11|
Martin guitars are the best!!! No other acoustic guitar sounds like Martin, there are many copies that try and emulate but nowhere near as good as the original!!
Why is it so? Isn’t it easy to make an acoustic guitar in 2024? How other companies couldn’t achieve this?
What's the name of the opening Song ?
Hesitation Blues
Chris Martin! But not that Chris Martin, the Martin Guitars Chris Martin. NO NOT THAT CHRIS MARTIN, the ONE THAT RUNS THE COMPANY NOT THE ONE THAT PLAYS MARTIN GUITARS
Slash??? From Guns?
Someone remind us the name of the opening tune please?
Hesitation blues. Ralph Mctell does a version

He isn’t CEO any more..he’s Executive Chairman I believe.
Yet another remark about the name of the guest.
Ceo of Coldplay??
HI CAN I BE IN A VIDEO LOVE YOUR VIDEOS ❤❤❤

Fell asleep watching 😂
First!
Third
Daaamn, Coldplay got old!
Hey, this guy's white. I thought Chris Martin was yellow?
Why are their guitars all yellow?
Spruce wood..... aging of clear Lacquer.......
Why oh why was Donald Trump’s tariffs not mentioned?
Mentioning him in anyway, would be a buzz kill !.....
Learning that that a bunch of academics make up Martin’s company DNA has massively raised my opinion of the brand and company
