I am putting that on my Christmas list lol. I think another nice item to have (a little over the $100 Mark) Impact C-Stands. Good video as always!
Thanks Paul! Yeah man that filehub is dope! The Gnarbox has a lot of things that this doesn't, but for the basic functionality of just dumping footage automatically, its great! And some of the extra stuff is cool too!

I've had that Peak Design strap system on my wish list forever. I can never decide if I want the full on strap or the little hand strap, so I haven't pulled the trigger on a purchase, but I think they are brilliant! I also Love notebooks. I like to have different notebooks for different projects. For instance one with recipe ideas for my channel and another with notes for a tabletop role playing campaign I'm planning. Great ideas, thanks!
I always see the little hand strap and wonder if I should get it haha. And I totally hear you about all the notebooks, I have one for lyrics and one for work notes and one for video stuff and just way too many lol. Thanks for watching!
@@dunnadidit Neck straps get in the way when I'm snapping food shots from above, so the hand strap is appealing.
Neck straps get in the way for me all the time lol. They're really only handy for carrying for me haha.
I had the same debate. I went with the hand strap for a small crop sensor DSLR since I found myself just wrapping my regular strap around my hand all the time anyway. Then I got a fat SLR for shooting film and ended up getting the Slide neck strap because carrying it in my hand just got tiring. So really, it just depends on your needs.

I like the semi-triangle 5-1 reflectors are because if you're a lone shooter they have a tripod mount on one of the corners (same money as a round one).

Woah the Ravpower Filehub is a great combination of things that I really need. Can you use the wifi signal to control hue lights? This would be a huge selling point for me.

It's so much nicer not having to worry and also feel like you're not washing away the real message behind the holidays. Also means we can get each other silly stuff and use the last few £ to get chocolate! 😁 Makes Christmas fun again!!❤️

I am so getting myself one of those Rawpower Filehubs.. that will be so handy in the field and when I travel. I was considering a Gnarbox but to get the RawPower one for half the price and it being a 3 in 1, definitely more worthwhile!! I had a Peak Design Capture Clip, I loved it, just have to be careful with the screw on the plate, it does come loose eventually and can fall out...mine did and I lost the screw and now I have to replace the entire clip. I have the OpTech USA camera strap and it is similar to the Peak Design one and I absolutely love it and it's less than $100.00
I also agree notebooks come in so handy and if I can pick up one of your custom design ones at the end of the week, I so am buying one. One thing you forgot to mention is lens filters...you can pick up decent UV filters and non variable ND filters for less than $100.00. You also forgot the Manfrotto mini tripod which is great for photographers and videographers. I am getting myself one of the tripods you mentioned though eventually. Gaff tape though is amazing, I own 3 big roles of it and use it for everything, same with my clamps.

@@dunnadidit no problem... I am redoing my whole kit soon and retiring my D3200 for a D850 for my photography and a Z6 Filmmaker's Kit to start making videos and start my own TH-cam channel. I am always on the hunt for gear that I can get for $100 or less. Though I am going to be investing a ton into my gear come the end of December and into January 2020.

Really interested in Ravpower Filehub for sometime now, but it will probably give me some anxiety after backing up to hard drive. What if it doesn't back up all of the footage and I already format my memory card, what if all of the backed up files suddenly gone due to software error or somethin? Reaaally anxious about that lol
Haha I do suggest always checking it first before formatting, but it’s nice to not have to get home and then wait for your files to offload, when you get home, they’re there to check! Then moving them around is faster and easier.

Dude! This is a great video! You might want to try cutting out the music at some points of the video to make the clip funnier. For example, it would have been a little bit funnier if at 10:29 you completely cut out the music, then had a little 3-5 clip montage of you drinking the water in quick cuts. Take this with a grain of salt, I just think it would help keep your viewers attention for longer. 👍

jeez.. photography is such an expensive hobby. glad i'm a designer/illustrator/painter. personally, i don't think you need all the items listed (ex/ $15 notebook). you can go on a cheaper budget or maybe have 1-5 of the items.
Haha I never said you need all of them! They’re just supposed to give people some ideas for one or two things you might be able to pick up for a photographer friend.

I disagree! It's a great mic. It's a super cardioid which means that primarily picks up only whats in front with a small amount coming through the back and I've personally tested it against some of the other mic's in the same class. As someone who has been a professional audio engineer for 13 years i feel pretty confident in this one! If it's not for you though, thats cool!

Yeah there's no way you can get all this stuff for under $100. If you bought these things you'd be closer to $1100 depending on which options you go with. Maybe there was some kind of typo, but it's just an unrealistic expectation for the viewer, it's really just not happening man.

Lol that wasn't my plan! I originally had a few things on the list that were over $100 but when I saw that 95% of the list was under $100 i figured I'd keep it to that and cut those other things. Would you like to see a video of gear thats a bit more expensive?

I will never recommend presets... If you dont add your own style in your photos, you might as well stop photography all together.
I disagree hard. You can do so much with composition and the actual taking of the photo itself that you can still put your own style on it. Also, presets don’t mean that you can’t keep tweaking it. Even my own presets I almost never just slap on and leave them, it’s always just a starting place and to get a vibe for what the photo could look like. Also, for people like wedding or event photographers, it can be a great way to speed up an edit session where you may have hundreds, if not thousands of photos to go through. There are TONS of useful applications for presets and still TONS of ways yo be creative and have your own style while using them. If you don’t like using presets, that’s cool, but saying that people should just give up photography if they use presets is very closed minded and doesn’t really make any sense.

I mean, it’s totally up to you! You could even make some for yourself. Or if you like the process of always doing your edits from scratch, you could just keep doing that. There are no rules on how you get from A to B with creativity. Just whatever feels right for you!
