    If you look at instructions bolt are supposed to be fed into the spacer upwards and tightened prior to install then use nuts to secure to frame support.

    idk if you fixed it after the video but you need to put the threaded bolts in the spacer before it gets mounted on the strut

    For anyone else doing this in the future, please consider upgrading your Upper Control Arm as well for the appropriate sized lift height. Using the stock arm will have a more aggressive angle on the ball joint causing accelerated wear.

      @flawlessvvss ปีที่แล้ว

      Like forged upper arms?

    • @YeUnholyFiend
      @YeUnholyFiend ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@flawlessvvss most will indicate if its OEM replacement or 0-3" lift for example. The point is to keep as much of the stock geometry as possible. The problem is that I can't say yes to your question because they make forged OEM replacement UCA.

    Trucks are supposed to be lowered in the front because they're built for towing and hauling. When you add the weight in the back it'll level out evenly so the manufactures don't build them leveled from stock since it'll reduce the towing capacity.But nice video. Keep it up

    • @RatchetWrenches
      @RatchetWrenches  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I honestly love the Motofab level kit. You can tell right out of the box it’s good material and you’re getting what you pay for, which really isn’t a bad deal. I have heard the rough country isn’t the best of quality. Could be the leveling kit or could be another part of your suspension. Do you have upgraded UCA’s?

      Depending on your wheel and tire set up it might be a good idea to. If it’s a stock tire or a tire that’s shorter, when you level/lift the truck it adds extra stress on the UCAs. I plan on buying some for my truck soon

    • @RatchetWrenches
      @RatchetWrenches  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a highly debated topic. If you are running the stock tires and level the truck, then more then likely you’ll want to upgrade the UCAs based on how the geometry is when installed. But on the other hand, if you run a taller/larger tire overall like I do, I have no hyper extension. I would say if you have the money just go head and buy yourself a pair, definitely couldn’t hurt

      We did get it aligned, I recommend it due to changing the ride height in the front it can alter the camber, tow and caster. I actually measured it the other day and the front of the truck sits at 39 inches to the bottom of the fender while the rear sits at 40 inches. So it’s not completely level but very close and it’s difficult to tell. 2.5” all the way with a nice set of all terrains in my opinion

    • @RatchetWrenches
      @RatchetWrenches  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like you have some good plans for it! So I’m running a 33” tire with a -24mm off set with no rub. I’ve heard you can run a 35” tire with some slight rubbing but only at decent turning angles. You can probably get away with this set up without upgrading your UCA’s but I would recommend upgrading them since it’s such a large increase in weight and angle of the tire. I have not upgraded mine but plan on it soon. Hope this helps!

    Just curious if anyone else who installed this had the same issue. After having this installed by a local shop, the 2.5 seems to have been slightly to much for the truck to look level. I feel that I should have gone with the 2.0 kit. Currently the front end is slightly higher than the rear.

    Factory Wheels looked better. Do you know what a wheel is? A rim is on a by-cycle that you rode as a child .

      Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Hmm I guess you should probably tell that to pretty much every manufacturer because if you go into a store or go online each company goes by rims or wheels so it’s really up to the individual to decide which terminology to use. Now a rim on a bicycle has spokes along with a tire. Now that’s the same damn thing on a car lol. Don’t try to be mr. knowitall bud
