Ive had RC lifts / control arms etc. on both my xj's for years and never had any issues. Even on some pretty tough trails the ride has been smooth and i have no complaints. And fyi, if someone has a vibration at 70-80 mph they should probably start with a wheel balance.. not replacing all the tires lol.

@@malachi9427 yea i saw the difference, still doesnt mean expensive is better... i have had expensive stuff break out of the box and inexpensive stuff last forever... also the kid was bitching about a spacer weld breaking... and by the looks of where it broke, it could have been the shop that put it on for the kid who did it, at that point i would have taken it up with the shop, or called rc... but a mall crawler like that wouldnt have broken that flange, improper installation would... the pricey one could have done the same if it was installed incorrectly, also if the lil kid would have talked to rough country they would have replaced it... also have you looked into each of the lifts at all? the rc (rough country) one gives shocks and every bolt you will need to put it together... the rl (readylift) doesnt include shocks, and gives you a cnc aluminimum front upper spacer... thats where the money your spending is going... in a cnc part... so again more expensive doesnt mean better... also do you have either one of these lifts? i have had both, but for a 2012 suburban, the ready lift doesnt give you anything but spacers, whereas the rc gives a front dif drop along with everything you need to make the lift work...

Garrett Owens aye man there probably not bad like u said but i would have to a little research and form my conclusion.. i think it also depends on the vehicle i was looking into a lift for a midsize truck the RC one wasn’t terrible it would definitely lift your truck up but thats about it. Compared to a BDS lift which was actually 2000 more which came with actual fox coilovers thiccer metal and a fairly easy install i guess it comes down to what your going to be doing with the truck

if the truck shakes between 70 and 80 that’s your wheels needing to be balanced more than likely. before telling someone that they should go spend a grand on a new set of tires to fix an issue that costs next to nothing, why not spend a couple of dollars and get the wheels balanced then see if it still shakes at 70 to 80 mph. think of how pissed you would be when you just dumped a grand on new tires just to find out the problem could be fixed in 15 minutes for 15$. there’s a shit ton of different things that could cause your vehicle to shake at that speed and almost never directly related to it being the brand of tire you have. could be a flat spot, could have snow or ice in the rim (if you live in a state with a lot of snow that is), or even mud packed in the rim will cause your car to shake due to those things making the wheels unbalanced.

I agree. However in my case for a ram 3500 I just went with a very small Tuff County 2” Front leveling kit. I then got an aftermarket drag link and may eventually get an aftermarket radius arm. However after alignment everything seems just fine. I did a 1 inch lift block in the back so when the gooseneck is on everything is level. 🤔 original wheels and tires. Just added a little toughness to the set up.😄

Gm Trucks - No, you're confused here. I said you get what you pay for and for the money (which is 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of a fully built Kelderman lift, Wicked Customs lift, Bulletproof lift, Carli lift, or any custom lift, BDS performs great. Why would you think a $5,000 lift would be as good as a $10,000 or $15,000 lift? Like I said, you get what you pay for. Also, there's nothing "cookie cutter" about BDS lifts. Their lifts are built to retain stock geometries and are fully warrantied. You break anything and it's replaced, no questions asked.

I’ve got a 3.5 RC lift kit (with drop arm plates included) on my 2018 jku with 35/12.5/15 tires and it rides better than factory. I installed it myself. I’ve installed MANY different lifts and drop kits on lots of vehicles then doing alignments to them. The INSTALLER is the primary issue when you have problems with a lift/lower kits. READ THE DAMN INSTRUCTIONS. Always inspect all parts before starting the installation. Any defects should be caught and handled before the install begins. Never use “spring spacers” always get a kit with real springs. Also if you have an IFS truck, your kit will bet giraffe pussy high in cost.

  • @adrianspivey4535

To defend Rough country a little, any lift can fail and everyone knows that rc is THE cheap lift, of course the quality won’t be as good but they’re selling to the target group of people (like myself) that just can’t drop 2k on a lift or 800 for that matter. They’ve tested they’re stuff, there’s no one person at RC that needs to “get their stuff together” because they already do, NOBODY in the automotive industry manufactures products on a whim not caring about the safety of their consumers, they’re all held to strict testing by the dot. You can draw the same comparison from tobacco brands. Yeah, longhorn and Timberwolf are some super cheap brands that just can’t be compared to Copenhagen but all three of them get the job done in the end, it just depends on how much money you wanna spend and some people don’t have the luxury to chose how much that is that particular week
