I really love seeing strong platonic male/female friendships. Although Sheldon and Penny didn't start off on the same page, they eventually became close pals, to the point where some of his quirks rubbed off on her.
Yes, although it takes them years to properly become friends & it wouldn't have happened without them living very close to each other & Leonard strongly connecting them.
Yeah, not every male/female duo needs to be romantically paired up, especially if/when one or both are non-heterosexual. Some just work really well as friends.

Penny and Sheldon are magical together. They are one of television' s most enjoyable duos.
Also, I love when Penny and Sheldon support each other when they're both experiencing career frustrations with him & string theory and her & the movie whilst everyone else is sick of both. Sheldon confiding in Penny the rather sad reason why he knocks three times over ice cream and the two of them going out for drinks in the series finale are also all great moments of bonding between the two of them.

The dynamic chemistry Jim and Kaley had together...you could get rid of everyone else....and a show, with only Sheldon and Penny, would still be GREAT!!!

Actually, Penny’s first “Triple Knock” happened in S2E7. Penny and Sheldon were at war. She did a bunch of laundry and took up every machine, messing with Sheldon’s “Laundry Night”. Sheldon retaliated by taking all her clothes out and hanging them outside on the telephone wires. When she went to move her items to the dryers and found all the machines empty, she did the triple knock with the palm of her hand.
I’d say that incident is more of a repeated slap instead of knocking.

Someone gorged themselves on Big Bang Theory this week. My favorite moment is when she gave him Spock's napkin. So sweet. And the smaller moments where he would listen to her and give everyone else (except for Amy) a hard time. It's the friend-who-can-talk-you-off-a-ledge type of relationship.
Well there were moments when Amy couldn't handle Sheldon but Penny could. He's somewhat closer to Penny than he is to Amy or anyone else. Amy has even said that she doesn't like the fact that Penny is closer to Sheldon than her.
Penny is a lot like Missy
she's like a combination of Missy, Mary, and Meemaw.

The best fictional platonic couple ever. I know some people see Sheldon and Penny as siblings but I honestly see Sheldon and Penny as siblings-in-law because I see Sheldon and Leonard as brothers. I still like their relationship though. That's just how I see it

Many people talks about how Penny is similar to Missy, but I think Penny is more similar to Mary, his mom. Sure Penny’s personality is similar to Missy, but how Penny is around Sheldon is similar to how Mary is around Sheldon. They both know how to handle Sheldon.

A little fact not many people know is that sheldon's mum on the big bang theory and his mum on young sheldon are actually mother and daughter in real life. Obviously the mum on big bang theory is the mother, the mum on young sheldon is her daughter.

First time Penny does the 3 knocks is actually much earlier than that and it was angry because Sheldon hung her clothes on the power line outside the window.

The fact that Penny is the only person Sheldon REALLY opens up to, makes me realize they were a lot closer than we realized.

In the very BEGINNING of the show, PENNY was IN NO WAY CLOSE TO Sheldon. BUT, eventually, the 2 of them, did end up being actually FRIENDS. And, it is a very nice thing to see. Penny had actually helped Sheldon MATURE a good bit. And, when AMY and Sheldon had MARRIED, AMY had helped Sheldon mature a WHOLE HELL OF A LOT.

The suit isn't checkered it's called Plaid. I agree the suit looked fine but it's not something you would wear to a formal affair. And the white Tails was too overboard. In the first ever episode or maybe the second penny asked Leonard and sheldon to go to her ex partners and sheldon didn't knock 3 times then. There were many errors of what they call continuity. One thing i never understood is when a bully from Leonard's past was shown and ended up in their flat is why did sheldon not recognise him, the bully was played by an actor called lance barber or something very similar and that was sheldons dad in young sheldon.
