@@Ali-yun69 Aight, this finna be a long one so please make sure to read it all. Ever since the timeskip we’re always getting the same story. Another arc, another failure. Same old lame ass sh*t, different place and time. %99 of the Side characters are dull and lame, the strawhats no longer feel entertaining to watch, there are literally plotholes and retcons scattered everywhere across the New World, tropes ar sh*t and Oda can’t stop assasinating his own main cast for the sake of cheap laughs and cries. Imagine spending over quarter of a century with these characters and keeping them extremely two dimensional. We don’t even know 40% of the One Piece lore yet. The world itself in a scientific viewpoint already makes zero sense. One Piece is all hype and no payoff. A One Piece of trash would be a better name for this series. Starting to love One Piece is a whole another thing, meanwhile starting to hate it (like me) is a long and painful process. Oda is literally the dumbest, most stuck up and close minded man baby writer I have ever came across and the fans are as stupid and delusional as him. Hunter x Hunter with it’s story, character development and worldbuilding does way better job than most anime. This is completely objective and the manga has just came out of hiatus for good. @@madstachoif5512 Personally ima have to disagree. I still very much enjoy one piece, and think that it still has a great story and characters to this very day. but if you feel that way I can understand, its fun to discuss and have different opinions 🤙🏿💯
@@Ali-yun69 Thank you for being understanding. Ngl Gear 5 is a very interesting concept for giving Luffy bottomless potential and room for power but Oda just can't use it well. Aside of retconning the whole Sun God is a giant Snake in Skypiea and the Grade A exposition that sneakily destroys almost the entirety of the worldbuilding in the Egghead arc, my problem with this one particular thing goes much deeper. Oda, an author who constanly writes characters and places that the audience will forget about as soon as the arc ends, doesn't see how much potential One Piece has. Just like Gear 5, the world of One Piece could be so much more and deeper like Star Wars and Lord of the Rings but instead Oda just chooses to only see the surface value of everything he does. Every backstory he writes is just sob story for the sake of being a sob story, he doesn't add much debt to his characters but expects us to feel sorry for them. Which I have for a while but it's just normalized by this point. For me the damage is already done. If you still enjoy One Piece, great I'M happy for you but there are far greater series than One Piece out there. I hope you understand my complaints with this series.
