It's pretty common for the monster to get up just in time for you to zoom in on their head with the final hit of perfect rush. Otherwise, you'd wiff pretty often. You see him use the finsiber when shara gets up multiple times. I think the move has been designed very well.

That said, at least offline, the SnS had easy access to one of the strongest weapons in the game (the Legendary Sword), which made it a really attractive end-game weapon type. The Undertaker lance was even stronger (second only to the Black Dragon Spear), but it took an extra 60 earth crystals to get when compared to the Legendary Sword, which already needed 60 to begin with. Also, lancers had access to the Spiked Spear as soon as they started hunting Yian Kut-Ku, a weapon that costs virtually nothing to make and that you can easily use until you hit the Monoblos (which gives you access to the Crimson War Pike, the best offline lance that isn't Undertaker).
I saw that they buffed claw uppercut with the wound effect but I never realized that meant the attack itself wounds so easily. Seeing you do it and immediately jump off to combo was one hell of a wake up call to me. Guess it's about time I returned to SnS.

@Peter Brydon I cant read japanese but by looking at his maxed skill its probably Critical because when he broke the head part he started doing 300-400 dmg and with maxed crit it does A LOT of damage so your accusation is wrong also Safi weapons are considered the most powerful weapon at the moment and SS weapon variant is very strong
imagine if they brough back oils! tenderplate farming could be easier for the sns community great hunt i learnt lots about optimising my fight and my weapon✌️

For real every perfect rush seems like the equivalent of the big bang hammer combo except it has way less recovery time and faster hits

Lol safi weapons are broken OP. I legit just ran all sharpness as my awakened abilities for trolls, 50 % of the sharpness gauge is purple
