If we were supposed to do only things that are explicit in Bible, Christianity would be impractical. Kids service in church for example. The Holy Texts are the point of beginning and our limits, but they were never supposed to be a manual for everything.
When applied to music leaders, "worship leader" is a misnomer. The term "worship leaders" includes all who are leaders in a time of worship including the preaching pastor, prayer leaders, etc. If we want to refer to music people, we should be more specific. We would then be "Music Worship Leaders."
In the New Testament what we are under today Col. 2:14. There are 10 passages that say sing. But no instruments are mentioned. Have to rightly divide the word - 2 Timothy 2:15.
Absolutely LOVE.ALL.OF.THIS!! Thank you SO much for putting this together and praying from your heart for those of us who serve our churches as leaders of worship. God bless ya GOOD!
Thank you so much for this excellent and thought provoking teaching on a much needed topic. In the email one of the questions to be answered was about the vestments. Will it be addressed in the next video? I encourage you to continue to provide these biblically based teachings which edify the entire body of Christ as well as the musicians. May the Good Lord continue to bless you in a powerful way.
Nor a "pastor" that didn't work outside the church. Support himself and not put a full burden on the church because he has to sit in his study and... Study.
How can we apply Old Testament processes to current action. There are no Levites, no synagogue. What he is trying to do is justify this position which is wrong. The early church did not have a worship leader. 1 Cor 14:26 gives a clear picture of what they did when they gathered.
Thank you very much. Hope this becomes a series, because I have a lot of questions: What do you think about the nowadays not 100% accurate or biblical lyrics in some worship songs? I know that we can argue with "poetic liberty", but is it not as you said also the "work" of a worship leader to teach the congragation also with the song lyrics? God bless you.
My question is why don't many modern churches have a cross of some kind. So many don't. If you can't have a huge, ornate altar, at least get a cross. At least big enough to be tall table decor. You can have it mobile even. I just would prefer, "true believer" churches have them.
Actually, the cross symbol never originated from early Christian churches, not even the "fish" symbol. The whole religious church symbols were born from the roman catholics & early protestant church. The recent modern churches movement is the second reform for Christianity, to break it away from "organized religion" cliché, to which more relevant to Jesus Christ's original message (John 4 21-26).
Brooo! From Tech to Teacher to Theology - LOVE THIS!!! You guys rock! 🔥🔥🔥#TTT

Worship leaders in the way it is practiced today is totally unbiblical. The use of musical instruments was ceremonial and has no place in a NT church.
