I'm using Ableton more and more, but the thing I wonder about is making it too big of a part of the ministry and what will happen when we have a guest worship leader or I'm on vacation. What happens when you have no-one around to build and execute an Ableton set?
I have a Pastor and Elders that talk the talk but don’t walk the walk, I and my wife are stepping down from things we used to do and it’s not our lose but the churches lose because the leadership can’t see past the end of their noses !
Dude, I love your heart on this. As someone who has seen both type of ministries, it is cool to see how you call people to be better. As the only drummer on my team, I'm growing tired, but i do not want to let my team down. I'm going to use these ideas to help call some individuals up to being leaders and leading behind the drum kit.
I wish our worship team would have rehearsals at all... :( Then the singers want their mics cranked up... not happening if you don't know the songs properly.
Jake, can you do a video on how to recruit a FOH person? I use Ableton already for my personal music, however I'd like to implement it at our church. Our biggest hurdle is that we currently do not have a sound tech to our board.
Hey Jake, I've watched quite a few of your TH-cam Videos now and I'm wondering if you might let me make an observation? I get that you're young, tech-savvy, and understand the power of TH-cam to sell your business, but if you made every one of your "tutorial" videos into a pseudo business ad it's eventually going to have a negative effect. I think that what you're doing and what you have to say is great, but when I evaluate, for example, this video to pass on to my Senior or Worship Pastors for them to take a look at, well this one won't make it. Thanks for lots of your videos, and your more than welcome to contact me if you would like to talk about what I've said in my post.

I got my planning center profile straight after putting it off for a few months. Thanks Jake for that slap in the face. I needed that.
