It will be interesting to see how you fit all the hydraulics and linkage in that small space behind the engine. Battery up top is nice for boosting / replacement. Fuel in the back is nice for filling/the added weight over the rear. Keep us updated!

Was thinking the same thing about the batt/gas tank locations!

The hydraulic pump is already in place behind the engine. The latest video, Part 8, shows the hydraulics finally getting worked on, with more details on where stuff is.

Progress for sure & looking good. I like the way you are thinking about & working out the many details. Proportions look good.
I have had a build like this in my mind for many years, however I used one of my Case gear boxes on another build. At my age the build will never happen, so I am enjoying watching you do it!
That sure would look good with a loader on the front but that's a whole nuther can of worms, LOL.
Do you watch Wood & Metal Shop with Frank?

I definitely follow Frank's builds, he does awesome work! I built a loader from scratch for my Cub Cadet 2182, and that is part of the reason that I built this. The Cub was 2wd and just didn't work well for me when I got a heavy load in the bucket, and the front wheels sunk into the soft ground and couldn't go anywhere. This 4x4 will definitely be more useful!

Looks like your a little short of pumps. That one will be good for your drive but what about steering. Any auxiliary hydraulic will need a 3rd.

@@jasonbainbridge982 you don’t need to add additional pumps, as you can use priority valves to ensure pressure goes to the steering first. Once I get it up and going, I can easily change my current pump out for a larger one if I need to run more accessories, but these pumps are already sized to run the drives, 3 point lift, and hydraulic PTO standard. Adding steering to that doesn’t take much hydraulic flow away.

Can you just make some spacers for your adapter plate bolts?

      Ahhh...never mind. :)

Yeah, just stacking some washers which I’ll weld in place.

You guys spent a lot of time building an adapter when you could just buy a magnaloy adapter.

It really wasn't that much work. Just measured and laid out the bolt patterns and punched out some holes. Was just a quick afternoon project.
And quite simply, the hardest part involved figuring out the mounting pattern for both the pump and the engine, and since both were used parts, knowing what standard patterns they both were would be the most difficult part. It was easy to just measure and build, and have it done in a day, still utilizing as many standard Case parts, so it's easy to repair later if need be.
