What is your favorite hero mech in Mechwarrior 5 Mercenaries?
I like the Agincourt for the humongous array of hardpoints, tons of space for LRM ammo, and the Beagal Active Probe hardpoint that allows me to shoot at enemies behind cover.
Mechwarrior 5 Mercenaries is a tactical shooter in the BattleTech Universe where players lead and manage an expanding mercenary company. Your lance of unique Battlemech variants will level entire cities and decimate armies of enemy forces in the quest for glory, revenge, and the almighty C-Bill!
Agincourt is really fun as an SRM Brawler too, usable all the way through the end game. 4x SRM 6 + optional 2x SRM 4 or SRM 2 depending on heat and ammo management, can drop the Active Probe and go 4x SRM 6 Artemis. Shoot enough SRM's at CT and some will end up being cockpit shots.

I love the way air targets tumble out of the sky but am I the only one seeing that helicopter blades don't spin at all?
Just got this one myself. Seems like it has a lot of potential.
I dropped the Srm sixes to Fours and added lrm reloads and double sinks...simple but better balanced..

I know I'm late to the party but I love your channel and I'm having a devil of a time finding out what makes Hero Mechs special. I found one for sale right below its standard counterpart so I compared stats and couldn't see anything. Just a fancy paint job.
Are they just a "find them and collect them all" kind of deal? Or do they have functional advantages? Thanks if anyone can help.
Glad you're enjoying your stay! In general, Hero mechs have special loadouts and special gear that you won't find on standard variants. Hero mechs also tend to have double heatsinks too. Not all are good though; you can check the Instant Action mode to test them out if funds are low and you're unsure whether it would be good for you.

I’ve had the mech for about a month now but can’t figure out how to keep it cool while still being able to go Brrrrrr with the lrms
2LRM10 Stream, 2LRM5 Stream, 2SRM6, 4Mlaser-SB, Beagle Active Probe, 5 Tons of LRM ammo, 2 Tons SRM Ammo, 3 double heatsinks, almost full armor.
Upgrades: +25% Target Lock Retention, +5% Weapon Damage, 7.5% & 15% Missile Range and Velocity, 10% weapon range and velocity.
Per my videos, I've almost never run out of LRM ammo, even on the highest difficulty missions or high risk missions.

Beagal Active Probe is the blue circle. Yep, we use a few mods in our games including Yet Another Mechlab, and Yet Another Weapon
Can you tell me how to get the mods and apply them to Xbox ?
