The stuff from the 70 s that I wish would come back are the Nestles Chocolate Almond Bar, Bordens Banana Fudge Ice Cream Sicles, Dolly Madisons snack cakes & fruitpies, Nabiscos Cinnamon & Sugar Cookies 😊.
I remember eating one as a child, I was born in 1981, so they still exist when I was little. And yes, they did taste amazing. Also dipping one, a twinkie in melting chocolate would work too.
Space food sticks were an acquired taste,we took them as a burst of energy food when we were snow skiing. 😉🐈⬛🐈💖🌈🎄 My family calls canned cheese sleazy cheese.
In Canada we had Squeeze a Snack that was a processed cheese that came in a plastic tube that you punctured at the plastic dispenser that had an x in it. Then you squeezed the cheese out of the tube. It was around into the mid 80’s and I miss it because the cheese was so good.
So many great memories! I remember those space food sticks. I kept looking for them in the store for ages hoping I would find them again! Same with the Jell-o 123. I loved that stuff!
Remember the Bandido Eraser for your pencil that you would get when you would buy a bag of Fritos? Cracker Jacks had some pretty nice things in there packages too, like paper tattoos, mini magnifying glass made out of plastic etc. And, don't forget Totinos Round Pizza, you can still get them today, and they are just as good in my opinion.
AND THERE IT IS! WAS WONDERING WHEN SOMEONE WOULD MENTION LATCH-KEY KIDS AND WHY THESE SNACKES WERE THE ONLY GOOD PART OF BEING A LATCH-KEY KID! I SPEAK FROM EXPERIENCE. GODS BLESSINGS...
I often think about the 1-2-3 Jello especially at Christmas Time,.Mom made it for when the what is now Cartoon Classics were on...Hey, remember the FIZZIES flavor tablets??
Burst gum freshn up i believe it was called, then the Dr pepper, A& W Rootbeer, 7up & other big juice gums also. And Nestle Alpine Candy Bars. At least In Texas about 41 yrs ago. Lol
I am from Chicago, and a 70' s kiddie. Some food items I recall, but I think some were popular in other states, or I was too young to remember them. I really liked banana flips.
Being called "Goofy Grape", in elementary school, was a scathing insult. It brought negative attention to both your looks and intelligence. Jello 123 was fun.
When I was younger, that cheese spread in a can was a DELICACY to me. By the way, it’s still around, only they call it Easy Cheese and they pared down their flavor assortment
I rarely got to eat the Swanson TV dinners, it took 50 minutes in the oven😢. I liked most of the items mentioned, the cheese in a can was my favorite, on everything!
I miss: * Marathon bars (which I read is the same as a Cadbury Curly Wurly) * Drakes Swiss Rolls (always gradually unrolled them to eat them) * Heart-shaped Sweet 16 chocolate covered toffee ice cream on a stick in early to mid-70's. (I can't even find pics of them online...) * Vienetta ice cream desserts
I remember my dad fixing the TV dinners when my mom was in the hospital after having my sister. He would burn them but the middle would still be half frozen 😂
Chocodiles were the best!!! Yes, I grew up in California and eating them when the warm sun melted them just a little bit in the bag on the way home or to the park, made them even better.
I remember most of them. All of them were good, except for Tuna Twist. I hated tuna back in the 70s. Still hate tuna today. Tuna sucks. Smells and tastes like like cat food.
I'm in Canada and I dont remember.any of these being on our shelves; although Funny Face drink mixes kind of look familiar. We had a candy bar similar to Marathon called Wigwag.
Bring back walnettoes, Nesbitt brand strawberry soda, '70's prices, even frozen dinners had more quality, bring back Buckwheat cereal, bring back French Vanilla Jazz Pepsi 0 calories, bring back full cookie aisles not halves, Tuna Helper, bring back English Muffin bread, Van de Kamps choc chip cookies, bring back Stouffer's chicken fried steak dinners, baked spaghetti and cheddar chicken pasta dinners.
I'm going on 5 years whole foods. I love to watch these videos. Because I'm no no longer hooked.😃💪 But I did try everything out there. no health issues yet at 59.
The Jell-O 1-2-3 was fun to eat and delicious.

A Marathon Bar! That was absolutely my favorite as a kid!!
Space food sticks were an acquired taste,we took them as a burst of energy food when we were snow skiing. 😉🐈⬛🐈💖🌈🎄 My family calls canned cheese sleazy cheese.
U can make chocodiles.
Partially freeze twinkies.
Make a chocolate shell dip, [melted chocolate + coconut oil].
Drizzle/dip, refrigerate.
My mom made 133 jello quite often
We loved the layers. I wish they'd bring it back I'd buy it for sure
@@vickireid9581 My grandmother made this for me and her when I stayed all night with her. Oh the memories!

Banana Flips were the best. I loved Suzy Qs too.
I LOVED Freakies as a kid! I still have a Freakies patch somewhere.
I had forgotten about Danish Go Rounds! I loved them!
The announcer is all over the place wrong on so many levels.
I agree with a quick Google I found out Chocodiles still exist as Fudge Covered Twinkies.

Loved almost all of these, especially Jell-O 1-2-3 and Pizza Spins. I missed having Space Food Sticks. Never heard of Concentrate cereal.
That's not true! Chocodiles were sold on the East Coast as well. I grew up in NYC and we had them in all of the corner stores throughout the 80s.
I had all 4 colors of the bandit pencil eraser. Red, yellow, blue and green. 🥰
Who put Bugles in my Doo Dads!
Yes! I forgot all about the funny face drinks. Loved the jello 123.
We had all that instant food because a lot of us were latch-key kids feeding ourselves.

I still love cheese in a can! Great for camping and just because…
Does anyone remember Chipsters. Oh how I loved those crunchy little things😊
The only 3 I really remember was the marathon bar and Jello 123, and Swanson Tv dinners!
The Marathon Bar was plenty of tasty (and I did eat it fast) but the chocolate coating flaked all over the place!
Chocodiles were my crack as a kid. The only thing I ever shoplifted as a child.
Mug O Lunch was not frozen. It was a dry packet that needed boiling water to make, as demonstrated in the footage you provided. 😂
I am from Chicago, and a 70' s kiddie. Some food items I recall, but I think some were popular in other states, or I was too young to remember them. I really liked banana flips.

Spoon n candy was my favorite dessert in the 70's 😊
I loved the Marathon candy!
I still have 2 boxes of 1-2-3 Jell-O in my kitchen cabinet. For some reason, I just couldn't bring myself to throw them away.
Being a kid in the '70s I absolutely got Chocodiles in New England. I didn't need anybody from the West Coast to bring them to me
My favorite was Danish -Go Rounds
Chocodiles still exist as Fudge Covered Twinkies but are only available on the West Coast. They changed the name in 2017 so it was quite recent.

Why did everyone in these ads have such small kitchens when homes were so cheap?
Talks about the 1970’s, proceeds to show a 1950’s cosplayer. It’s MUG-O-LUNCH, not MUGGLE LUNCH!!! It’s not a friggin Harry Potter meal!!!
What is shhhtrawberry?
Authentic Mexican restaurants have those pizza spins... Obviously better LOL
Muggle lunch? I must look this up!!!

That's not food
I don’t remember 99% of these. Only Jello 1-2-3.
Funny face drinks were first sold in 1964. Choco-diles were sold on the East coast also. Was never impressed by them. The chocolate tasted like wax.
Ralston- Purina, makers of Dog food.
Most people who remember these snacks are baby boomers or really early gen Xers who are not worth marketing snacks at any more.
