      They carry less mass on their frames. Football players, even the small players have quite a bit of extra mass from strength training. They aren't trained for nothing but sprinting, therefore if the lost some mass they could shave a .1 off or two.

      @Cody Garbrandt he educated himself on how to market himself with his team. He may not be the best at it but he knows how to put on a show when the cameras on. Coleman is different because he only cares about being in sports related ads and that's it. He doesn't do any partnerships with tv programs or other companies. It's just a difficult thing to do as a track athlete because of how time consuming your routines are. Even Usian said it and Micheal Johnson. I have been saying that the secret to Christian Coleman's speed is his relatively low body weight of 71kg (24kg lighter than Ussain Bolt's weight) which gives him a big advantage in the acceleration / drive phase because the higher your power to weight ratio is, the faster you can accelerate. The same goes for cars. And here is the proof.

      None of those times were legit. All of those guys from that era are just trying to stay relevant to this era. If Bo was electronically timed I’d bet it would be 4.3 or so same with Deion. None of those guys were track fast. Case in point, DK Metcalf. Was the fastest dude in the NFL, went to the Olympic trials and finished in last place during heat events. All the respect in the world to him for it too. There’s just a real difference between track fast and football fast.

    • @Elliottklassen
      @Elliottklassen ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@z1510r A few things are simply incorrect there. Firstly, DK was never the fastest player in the NFL. That title has definitely been held by Tyreek for several years. Secondly, DK never went to the Olympic trials, he just competed in one regular track meet where he finished second last, rather than dead last like you said. After that one race from DK, he gave up trying to qualify for the Olympic trials, as it was unlikely that he would even be able to qualify (not just anyone can show up to trials.). I'd guess that if the true fastest man in the NFL in Tyreek really tried, he'd qualify for the Olympic trials and go out in the heats, or if he's lucky, the semi finals.

    • @z1510r
      @z1510r ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Elliottklassen ohhh ok, thank you for the clarity, also I definitely agree with the Tyreek being the fastest. However, DK was no slouch, and the year he ran, correct me if I’m wrong, he had the highest speed reached during that season, again I could be wrong, I’m not afraid to admit it. I just don’t get how people can seriously believe NFL player and soccer players for that matter, could compete against people who only train speed. I’m sure someday we will see another Bob Hayes type, but to sit here and say those guys from back then were faster, is just plain false. Obviously I’m open to my mind being changed, but I’ll never, ever believe any of those myths.

    Wow He is the fastest College Track athlete right now in America and Woe is there a huge difference in track speed compared to football speed. Bo was A SEC Track champion and one of the fastest 2 or 3 track athletes in the country at the time he ran his hand clock 4:09 at the combined and his 4:13 fully automated timing (FAT), with the clock starting electronically a week later. There is a huge difference in track VS football speed lol

      Adam Sarduci he ran 6.18 for 60 and 10.39 for 100 and wasn't the fastest. Herschel walker at roughly the same weight ran a world record 60 yards and a 10.22 100 10.10 windy. Walker did these at 20 bo was 23. I aporeciate bos talent but his speed was overhyped as was his nfl career based on an average per carry lower than charles. Marcus allen took all the low yardage short carries while bo had the higher average runs taking a couple to the house. Theres no way bo was 4.12 electronic if he was so much quicker than all pro players his 60 and 100 speed would be way faster. Sammie smith a 230 pounder for miami and curtis dickey 225 cleveland had equally fast 100 and 60 yard times for dickey a decade earlier.

    The only problem is that this is a hand start laser finish 40. If you pause the video at 0:15 sec, the timers hand is on the "manual start" button which is an option on these browser laser timers. Granted they use this same timing method at the nil combine, but to get a true 40 you must have it be fully automated, in which if you pause the video at 0:11 sec you would see a small electronic box positioned next to his hand. Obviously thats not there because the timing method they are using. Don't me wrong this would still be the fastest in the nfl because we are comparing apples to apples as they use the hand start laser finish method.

Track speed is on a whole different level because sprinters have way better form, and know how to make the most of the strength they have. Football players aren't trained to run 100m straight every game, so if they switch to track most of them would run crazy times too.

  • @2DarkHorizon
    @2DarkHorizon 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    All 60m races are indoor and I heard the air is thicker indoor so it would of been more difficult for Christian Coleman. Plus Bolts race also had 0.9m/s wind. So comparing Christian Coleman's 6.34 vs Usain Bolt's 6.31. I think Christian Coleman is faster at 60m than Bolt.

    • @123fockewolf
      @123fockewolf ปีที่แล้ว

      Then you dont know how sprint techniques works. depending on the distance to run there are different ways to run them.. at the 100m where bolt did 6.31 he did not try to reach top speed to early because then you have to try to maintain it longer which will make you lose speed over a longer distance. Bolt could reach a top speed maybe at 40-50meters if he wanted to but its not ideal for 100m. also same for Coleman he sometimes has a to short drive phase and then starts to slow down after 60meters already.

    • @2DarkHorizon
      @2DarkHorizon ปีที่แล้ว

      I understqand its hard to compare because Bolt had planned to run a 100m race not a 60m race so maybe he didnt go all out at the drive phase.@@123fockewolf

      Felix Raidt Of course this is real. He's considered the second fastest man in the world behind Justin Gatlin bc he came in 2nd behind Gatlin in the 2017 World Championship. Usain Bolt came in third. Check it out on TH-cam for yourself. Usain is considered the 3rd fastest man in the world this year, just behind Christian Coleman.
      Track speed is a lot faster than Football speed. Football is more about side to side quickness & agility. Speed in football helps, if the athlete knows how to use it but it's not the end all be all. And as history has proven, a lot of very fast football players haven't really excelled in football. Quickness has.

      Pineapple pizza This is the biggest fallacy about Usain's speed. There are many other men in track and field that are his height with the same leg length and can't even come close to beating Coleman in a race. Speed has very little to do with stride length as much as it has to do with stride frequency & power. In fact Yohan Blake, Usain's training partner, who is 5'11" ran faster in his 19.26 sec time in the 200 meter's than Usain did in his 19.19 sec 200 meter time. The only reason Usain had a faster time than Yohan was bc Yohan had one of the slowest reaction times to the gun in his 19.26 sec race than Usain's 19.19 sec. The person that pointed this out said, (And he's correct) if Yohan reacted at the same time as Usain's 19.19, he would have ran a 18.99 sec. Considering this, Yohan, with a much shorter stride ran a lot faster than Usain did. But the fact remains, Usain has the fastest time ever in both the 100 & 200 meter sprints. But don't take my word for it, TH-cam it. Type in Yohan Blake 18.99 200 meter's, or something like that & watch the video for yourself.
